a little tip. only use passive lighting for watching tv. seeing that light directly ruins the contrast& color of the content you are watching. install it behind the sideboard instead.There is a reason why philips does not install them in the boarder of their tvs facing you:-)

I bought one of these and loved it so I bought another. I noticed in your video yours came with metal mounting clips, mine came with cheap plastic ones. Actually broke one during mounting. I think the metal ones would be better. I tried insulation under cabinets in the kitchen but I broke one of the clips and stripped a couple of the screws and decided to mount elsewhere. The screws are pretty soft metal and we’re easily stripped out with a screwdriver.
Lots of possibilities, design on the wall or even under a desk or behind a TV and the good thing here is that you don't see the leds like on a standard LED strip.
I prefer govee ropes with music syncronisation obvs just on the off chance you want to catch me off guard with a strip show! Hope your feeling abit better when you wake up! Sweet dreams 🥰🥰🥰

Thanks, brightness levels seem very similar from what I recall. If the light is going to be in view then best to go for the neon or alternatively you could buy a standard led strip and get a diffuser from amazon

Can you choose a light setting to be a solid colour, which then blends into other colours slowly? I can't think of the appropriate word to describe it. I like those calm, ambient lights that softly change to other colours. Quite mesmerising.

The rope is diffused really well so it looks like a neon sign. It's also bendable so you can shape it, as opposed to cutting and re-attaching at corners like the strip. Hth.
Why is no one using neon ropes for their ceilling or the entire room like with rgb led lights ? Is there a disadvantage to this ? I only see videos of people using neon rope as designs Please let me know if there are any cons to this Im planning on buying a ton of neon ropes and decorate my entire room with it
Can you place this new light strip behind your TV? I put a littel dark lens on my camera so there is less over saturated light coming from the tv and the clours off the Govee are more accurate.
I was looking to buy a lens. But the prices where to hight for my tase. And people told me it was hard to put the lens on the camera. Then somebody told me you can cut cheap 3D glasses in to a small lens and put it on the camera with a littel tape. This is what I did and I'm very happy.

110$ for 16.4 ft is NOT worth it. Given that the same Sanwoo & Muzata flexible silicone rails but with LONGER strips of each cost the same this is definitely a hard pass. Everyone knows that besides the Immersion kit itself everything else they've rubber stamped their name on is wildly overpriced. They need to drop that price or double the length. Also why is that the 1st world versions of the products push for you to download their apps but the manufacturers version shown on Ali & Wis come with remotes?
What's worth it to you may not be worth it to everyone. For me personally, the immersion integration is awesome for home theater and really helps add a sense of scale to my setup

The rope light doesnt come with a camera but you would have to get one of the Govee systems with a camera so the dream view or Immersion kit and these have a camera you can add to the system as an addition. Hope that makes sense.
You need the kit that comes with the camera for your TV. Either the T1 or T2 strip kits. You can then sync other Govee strips and other Govee led products to it
Its a bit of both with google and alexa there is a basic set of command that are supported. Companies have quiet a few challenges enhancing beyond that.
True, not the best led strip but their controller/app is their best selling feature imo. I bought a bunch of controllers off from aliexpress but none of it has that much features as govee. Their apps doesn't even let me change segmented colors even though they advertise their controller as rgbic so yeah, I think whoever making those controllers should step up their game and make a decent controller like govee.

How thick is this lightstrip? Like 1inch or less ? I mean the height from the surface of the wall after you stick it.

Just got my govees. Is there a way to modify the music mode colors? Can I save a few presets (i.e. party, Xmas, disco) and have them alternate?

I'm guessing the black mat under the tv is your solution the camera picking up the reflected light messing up colour syncing

Its not a direct replacement but can work in conjunction as I have shown. Do you have a link to the lens you bought?

The rope light has a red exclamation mark saying the devices firmware is not compatible with some functions in the theme?

I'm using on a 75" now and seems to work well, might be too long on a 50inch with the segmented control you could turn off the extra segments.
