    Just did this combo today on a customer's white yukon denali..im very impressed! I left it sit for a minimum of 20 mins before I wipes off with beadmaker. I didn't think beadmaker could feel any slicker but now it does!
    And yes guys, beadmaker alone is a pretty strong sealant and have seen it go over 70 days with ample beading still.

    Hello fellas, I've watched many of your videos. In two of them you are using UNO protect and bead maker. In one you polish the entire vehicle in 20 mins and and then spray bead maker and wipe off. In the second you polish the entire vehicle and say to wait 4 hrs before applying the bead maker. Does waiting the four hours allow the polish to cure more and therefore give a better shine. Sorry for being so long winded. Thanks for the videos. Jim

    Just heard about Uno the other day. Interesting, to say the least. Personally not a fan of BM, so I don't think I'd give this a shot. I love the experimentation, though! Thinking outside the box and finding synergies is always rewarding.

    • @brianballenger36

      I noticed bm would fog up when it's humid...don't use it anymore

    • @Twiztid_Metal
      @Twiztid_Metal 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brian Ballenger noticed that too. I believe TRC mentioned how to counteract the fogging/smearing when hot/humid - spray BM directly on the towel, and none or a very minimal amount on the panel. That helped me a little bit, but it's not perfect. If Uno came in a smaller size, I'd definitely pick some up and experiment with other spray sealants I have.

      Honestly I dunno about BM either, but one thing that I do in my business is use HD Speed and wipe it off with Meg's Synthetic Xpress Wax. That is also a killer combo with no dwell time and direct sunlight and black plastics friendly.

    If your using Rupes UNO (AIO), but then replacing the protection sealant with Beadmaker sealant, whats the difference between using a normal 1 step product that will cut and give gloss (Perfect Finish)? Since your just using UNO for that and giving it a different sealant?

While it gives you the immediate pop it is really not a durable solution and may work for someone who does not want to pay for full correction process with quality products that does not include fillers. So I finally gave this a shot and the final results were great, but I had a battle with streaking after trying to wipe off the BM. Keep in mind.... I was doing this OUTSIDE (Northern CA) and our weather was pretty damp after a lot of rain and the sun was breaking in and out. I want to assume it was my conditions that caused this but maybe someone could speculate otherwise? Took me FOREVER to wipe away the discolored streaking. I found that if I applied BM to my MF towel and applied it quickly to a smaller section of panel and did a quick buff out that I was able to avoid the issue.

    This is great but it’s not a new idea 100% , in fact for years body shop guys had been using a detail spray to loosen up compound that has dried and got hard to get off. But that’s the body shop so the intent was obviously different. On mobile jobs we’d do this to make one final wipe down working outside in the elements for efficiency. But back then there was no all in one , again it was to break down the sealant residue with a little moisture. Same here but it’s a family chemical component in the said polish and spray that make them work. Polymers for polymers , SiO2 for SiO2 and ceramic for ceramic. In this case a all in one shares a similar chemical that will bond together waxes do the same. So let’s say someone used a wax to finish up a job , a spray wax ( not sealant ) just a wax might adhere. In this case the uno project accepts BeadMaker as it’s polymer and now what you get is a better looking finish that may last a little longer thanks to uno adding it’s durability agents to Beadmaker as it’s applied and now beadmaker last longer.

    Is there any benefit to letting Uno Protect set for the 4 hours and then spraying a coat of Beadmaker on top?
    Kinda like layering?

    Would Bead Maker play nice with GlossCoat???
    Here is my plan
    - Wash car and chemical decon
    - Meguairs clay using ONR
    - Correct few panels using Griots Garage Correcting Cream with Rupes yellow pads
    - Polish whole car using Meguairs 210 with Rupes yellow wool pads fast arm speeds
    - Wipe car with PS paint prep
    - GlossCoat
    - Bead Maker a couple of hours later

      I'd consider doing the finish polishing with foam instead of wool, as foam tends to leave a finer, more uniform finish.
      Or, you might be able to get away with doing everything with M210 on the yellow wool.

      You can top Gloss Coat with Bead Maker, but I would wait until it has fully cured (like a couple months). Gloss Coat should be topped with Opti-Seal after a couple hours to help protect it while it cures. It is also always recommended to use the prep product from the company that manufactured the coating, so Optimum Paint Prep would be best in this case. P&S Paint Prep -> P&S Inspiration, GTechniq Panel Wipe -> CSL, etc.

    Guys, I'm a fan and all you're showing here makes sense. But, please, don't call Beadmaker a sealant. It's a great gloss and slickness enhancer detailer with synthetic polymers for short term protection. Upselling it as a sealant will confuse and upset people already using true spray sealants. Also, Auto Fanatic's Secret Weapon is a similar AIO and removal is recommended to be done using their Beadmaker equivalent called 007. Again, I liked the video but not sure if I agree with how you're promoting Beadmaker. All the best from the UK.

      @@theragcompany I get that the line between products has been blurred much over the last 2-3 years and it is getting increasingly difficult to differentiate detailers from spray waxes and sealants. I just don't see Beadmaker as a true sealant because its main focus is to add shine and slickness. Protection is a bonus, IMO. Keep up the great work.

      If BM is considered a sealant, why does it last a month at the most

    • @jeffc6832
      @jeffc6832 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianballenger36 all depends on how you care for it. If you keep using it regularly as a drying aid it can keep working a year or more. At that point it should be stripped off and the paint decontaminated, but it would still be providing protection.
