    FYI Drift0r nothing is embarrassing about health issues no matter what they are. Had a family member in their late 20’s early 30’s that had significant Low T and exhibited very comparable symptoms and had to go on hormone therapy. Not a big thing at all it’s actually fairly common and is increasingly happening to younger and younger males.

      Qwerty Bastard - no doubt got some bizarre behaviors in society theses days, but I guess what people do behind closed doors is their business. But you are seeing the portrayal of this behavior / submissive act filter into mainstream society. I am not judge nor jury but I just don’t understand some of these people and their behaviors, but I guess different strokes for different folks!

    Hey Drift, just over a year ago I found out I had the same thing. Although mine was caused by a tumor that sits directly on top of my pituitary gland. I had the exact same symptoms as you. I'm here to tell you dont need to be embarrassed. I've been on meds for a year now and I'm completely changed, for the better. Keep your chin up, get the treatment you need and you will be feeling 100% in about a month or less. Stay strong man. I'm 34 btw.

      @@christineencrypt3892 the MRI revealed that it is very very small. I'm on medications to help keep it in check I guess. I had another MRI a month ago and the tumor hasnt grown at all in a years time. From what my doctor has said it doesn't need to be removed. So I'm lucky I guess.

      Is it possible to raise your testosterone with supplements bought over the counter? I don’t have insurance and for a while now I’ve suspected my testosterone levels are low. What exactly does the doctor prescribe you?

    • @MeadestVikingTMV
      @MeadestVikingTMV 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rudyshotcha well there is a natural way of sorts to raise it. But it depends on how your built I guess. If you have some weight on you, you could try losing it. That helps raise it naturally, also working out helps raise it as well.

    • @MeadestVikingTMV
      @MeadestVikingTMV 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rudyshotcha as far as what is prescribed, the testosterone replacement therapy can come in a few forms. Injection, this is done either once a week or twice a week depending. A sort of pill thing that the doctor would put under the skin and it slowly releases over the course of a month. Or Gel, which is applied once daily to your shoulders, if needed also on your thighs.

      (Sgt. Doom) I wouldn't say "all." These problems are not evolutionarily beneficial. What may be causing you to say such a thing is the availability bias and base rate fallacy. It's easy to think of people with medical problems, so you incorrectly say there's more than there actually is. While diabetes and mental health issues, for example, are becoming more prevalent, it's not like the entire US population has it. Even if 20% of our population were afflicted, they're still a minority (a rather staggeringly large minority). But I do agree with your basic premise: we are getting sick more often. (It's also very possible medicine is getting better at diagnosing and the prevalence rate did not significantly change.)
      Edit1: "was" changed to "were"

    I'm studying the hormon system in biological psychology at the moment and was thinking about your problem. Testosteron is not only produced in the gonads, but in the adrenal aswell, and because your sexdrive is okay it's very likely that it's the adrenal that maybe stopped producing testosteron, espacially because the result was even lower on the second test. I don't know if you had problems with your kidneys or adrenal before that could have caused them to stop producing, but you should maybe check them, so they can excite the adrenal to start producing again and you don't need to depent on pills.
    I haven't completed my degree yet and I'm not studying a medical degree, so I could be wrong, but I didn't want to keep that idea inside of me, if it could potentially help you...

    Hey Drift, kinda late to the vid here, but I'm a longish time fan, and I just have to say that I have high respect for you, for what it's worth. I think that it's amazing that
    1. You had the determination and humility to seek out help
    2. You're willing to be vulnerable to a huge amount of people, whom many will support, but a vocal minority will be dicks to you
    3. You're willing to accept all the flak that you'll be getting to help someone out
    I'm really glad that someone like you is using their platform to help people out. As for your reputation, I honestly think this helps enforce that you're a genuine dude. Some people will be judgemental, but I think those are the people you don't want in your community in the first place.
    Not sure if you or anyone will ever read this, but I thought it was worth a shot at hopefully putting a smile on your face :)

    Hi DriftOr,
    For the last six months I have watched with great interest almost all your COD WW2 videos and I want to congratulate you for the proffesional job you do, it helped me a lot in the way I play. I do not know how you were before this period but you seemed to me a very natural and balanced guy, so I can't comment about the changes you talked.
    But as being a doctor I can comment saying that you shouldn't be embarrassed about any medical condition as it is not your decision or desire to suffer of it and I trully respect your decision to talk about it. As you said, even if only one of your fallowners will benefit from this video, it will be an extraordinary thing. An the other hand you are somehow a public person and admitting your problems, medical or not, makes you a more natural and respectable one.
    I wish your medical problems to be solved and to be able to continue your wonderful job.
    Best wishes from Romania,
    Konashu

Its been going on for a while in my life, though my family hadn't had the money to get me checked out until very recently, and it turns out that my problem is exactly opposite to yours. Yes, my testosterone levels are almost 3 times greater than a fully grown man. I'm currently 19 years old, and pretty much fully bald because of this, but I've tried my hardest in life to suppress these feelings because I know it just negatively affects everyone around me. I've done research for years and I almost never read about genetic causing it except for malfunctioning pituitary gland, is that it? You should be furious, clomid is Not Testosterone, its a SERM that lowers the amount of estrogen that your brain sees in the blood so it creams louder to your testis to produce more T. Great video. Really appreciate you normalizing a conversation that's difficult but important to have. Also helped me realize that I'm not alone in embarrassing ill health. Also, I'm not sure if you already know this or not, but testosterone is complicated and far from the public simplification of the 'male/aggression hormone'. Research is sometimes inconclusive, but the general gist is that, much like alcohol, is only makes you aggressive if you think it does (or if your predisposed to be aggressive, though that's another conversation that includes social learning). Bottom line, testosterone does a lot of things. Also hair growth has more to do with androgen receptors that circulating androgens, hence why the increased testosterone increased hair growth where the ARs already were. Thanks again Drift.

Exercise and protein will only increase it a bit but if its very low you need treatment asap. Include cardio workouts more than anything u just have to when getting older. doesn't have to be running just home workouts with light weights are great. Assuming you live in Canada? Would never want NHC. Especially when the people sued Quebec because the wait times were endangering lives (Chaoulli v Quebec). This dude had an anomaly experience compared to what most us citizens actually have. I just walk into my hospital, pay my co-pay (50 bucks) and see my doctor. Any blood work is 25 dollars. Medication is a 10 dollar co-pay. I pay 72 dollars a month and my job pays 240. I also get a 20 percent discount on all optical expenses. My dental insurance is 41 dollars a month. All preventive care is free with x-rays. 50 dollar co-pay on basic dental work, major dental work is a 20 percent deductible. All of that is significantly cheaper than paying into national Healthcare. I will keep my money, thank you.

    I may not have that but I have an intestinal issue older people are supposed to have. Its been about 6 years since I was first diagnosed with diverticulitis and its only gotten worse. For the first time I actually got an appointment with a gastroenterologist and he even said "you're too young and barely starting your life to have this condition" (I just turned 27). The past couple of years have been extremely rough with no health insurance, or funds to properly take care of myself. About a couple months ago I hit depression extremely hard to the point I wanted to set myself free from the pain. Its difficult to enjoy life when your friends want to do certain things you can't and they call you out on it despite knowing how bad it can be. But I do know one thing: life is hard and it sucks, but you gotta keep your chin up brother no matter how hard life knocks you down, you'll have people by your side to help you stand strong and face life every time

    Low testosterone is not what causes the anger issues. It is the excess Cortisol that was triggered by low testosterone. You probably have excessive cortisol, which also causes weight gain. I am not sure taking testosterone is the right solution if it does not solve the excess cortisol. It might only thin your hair. Cortisol is a stress hormone that will cause anger. Low testosterone will not cause anger. High testosterone can cause anger. Taking in extra testosterone can cause more anger.
