The modern psychological and materialist trend/full sprint towards dismissing engaging with myth as a childish and illegitimate means of thinking about things has robbed us (humanity as a whole, specifically "The Western World") of a beautiful and genuinely wholesome tradition that has been used throughout the history of the world, across every nation. Love you and your work, Arthur. God bless you and your journey.

Fulgrim is one of the characters im actually sad to see the damage memes have done to him, because hes an interesting character outside of that. I believe its his primarch novel where the author shows pre-heresy fulgrim stopping one of his sons from killing an innocent civilian, then he gives them this really cool speech about how its their duty as those who stand at the top to uplift those who are at the bottom. It speaks volumes about him in that one moment, it shows how fulgrim really and trully believed he could help people and its truly tragic to see what became of him and the emperors children.
Fulgrim is without a doubt my favorite of the Primarchs, because to me he begins as the most altruistic, most intent on helping others, but due to his own loneliness and pain becomes willing to embrace the worst aspects of himself just to fill that void. I think that honestly, the thing that would have genuinely improved his fall would have been a partner, focus his fall around his pursuit of filling his empty heart with love (A Daemon Prince, Keeper of Secrets, or some Slaaneshi Avatar) and really honing in not just on the addiction, but having Fulgrim be willing to be so much worse just to not feel alone. It also makes his relationship to his Chaos God of choice unique in that it becomes an abusive relationship.
A dream i have, would be for that perfect Fulgrim clone to be brought into the fold. Can you imagine. Fulgrim at his best, waking up in the current day, finding out he's not really him, and that the real him is a degenerate monster? There is so much potential there for a story.
The un-corrupted clone fighting to cure his men and eventually having to come face to face with the snake in order to bring the emperors children back to their former glory. This could signal a shift in the current story, like redemption
The part about Fulgrims struggle relating to addiction is interesting. Because at the beginning he truly appreciated the arts and those became tools to corrupt him. The blood angels are artistic but they remind me of recovering addicts who happen to use art to keep them from falling back in. Just something i was thinking at the start of the video lol.
The first time I read Fulgrim it was while I was in rehab. The slow decay of fulgrim was really relatable especially since at that moment I was thinking alot about how my behaviour has went downhill. It is one of my favourite books in the heresy series just because of that resonance it had with me
ya know this is the only guy I have EVER paid for a channel membership thing. It's wicked nice to see someone who just has a genuine interest in 40k and all the goodie lore bits. also Twink Fulgrim art hurts my skin and eyes and soul bits.
Arthur is really refreshing where his is not posturing or putting up a front, he’s just a chill dude who is passionate and has interesting takes he does not force on anyone. It really feels like a chat with a friend
Also a former gifted kid, I relate more to Magnus than I want to. I mean having good intentions and fucking up so bad you commit to just being a bitch? I've certainly experienced that.
This was a fantastic video. As someone who deals with addiction issues, I think you hit the nail on the head. Truth be told I never thought of fulgrim through the lens of addiction and it has really opened my eyes. This is your best video yet, and yes, Fulgrim should have been at least two books!
Good vid, I agree with your assessment that Fulgrim fell to his OBSESSION. He had inherited the Emperor’s singular focus, his focus went from improving things around him to trying to perfect himself. It was the fulcrum that was used to fall to chaos. Slaneesh isn’t about perfection, it’s about excess, the blade used his obsession to drive him into greater and greater levels of depravity telling him it would make him better. Great work.
I genuinely love Fulgrim's arc and story, its absolutely one of the strongest and most complex out of all of the Primarch's in the Heresy. Him and Lorgar really put in the best shift when it comes to humanised Chaos characters, its the pinnacle of tragedy. And unlike the other Primarchs, especially Magnus, I feel like Fulgrim has very little agency in his own downfall
@@Idle1996no he didn't all his video did was talk about sex and cum for like 8-10 minutes adding nothing hes part of the reason people think fulgrim is nothing but a "rape snake" sex addict when it goes deeper than that.
what an insight. Thinking back to the events in the novel it matches up so well. I can't believe I never noticed it before. Coincidentally, I found out this afternoon that yet another friend of mine OD'd and passed away today. yea it was that one synthetic opioid we can't stop hearing about. I started watching youtube videos to distract myself, I never thought a lore video about Fulgrim would be so poignant. His story really embodies the aspects of addiction and their results. You do good work and it's not just the lore - I've read all these books and watched enough lore videos that I hardly come across something new anymore - I watch your stuff because of your thoughts and analysis. Most who try this format fail because they have shitty thoughts and nothing meaningful to say. You're doing good work though. don't forget to hug your loved ones today or give them a call.
Nail on the head honestly for Fulgrim being an addict analog. I just recently read "Fulgrim" and his fall was so horrifyingly tragic to read. All of that culminating in the end where he has that moment of clarity and horror before giving up to the daemon. It's given me such an appreciation for the EC.
This video made me realize why I relate to Fulgrim. Addiction and the drive to perfection. Also this is an EXCELLENT video and I am SO excited for more.
I like this one, especially your wrap-up at the ending. I fully agree with you on “he is one of the most tend to be like for most people but actually not that much really like him” Also, I agree that he has a capability and capacity with extreme good & bad things (which now we know it the latter…) The most touch and devastating part in this video is again at the ending when you spoke about his feeling with Ferrus, how he valued this cave man (based on his hideous and introvert personality, not that he lived in a cave… wasn’t it 🤔) as it is the same thought I figured it out myself too. Fulgrim always had a push and pull interaction with everything around him, I guess. He is complicated because the two sides of feeling he has. He has flaws which later was enlarged by the Laer Blade. He may turned traitor by himself, his decision, but as you said, he didn’t even know because it was like choosing between his far Father and his closer Big Brother (which I personally wonder how he value and compare Horus and Ferrus. Why exactly did he choose Horus and try to convey Ferrus but not vice versa? Sorry that this is pretty much another topic proposing, yet it’s truly important for me). Then again, that is understandable why after killed his one and only, he didn’t give a fuck and left. He only came back because he was trickery forced to.) PS. I’m waiting for the rest of these Giant Babies. Keep cool and carry on 😊
Maybe the Laer didn't start as snake peoples, they show signs of extensive self-modifications. Maybe that also happened to be their final iteration on their way to perfection.
Bro! this was overwhelming the best video you have put out. Completely turning my perspective on Fulgrim as a meme to a person. (even though being a fictional character) The struggle to addiction was relatable to me as well. Hope all out there struggle can find a support / anchor. Best wishes, and thank you!
I love your more humorous videos but this one was damn good. My wife was an addict for 5 years before we got together and working withbher to keep her clean was a learning experience and taught me alot about what people in addiction go through. So i very much appreciate this video and your insights and thoughts on it.
As one intimately familiar with the full run of addiction, from first person to third person, high to low: you are pretty much on point with your observations. Perhaps lacking nuance in your specific understanding, but perhaps the experience required to gain that nuance is not something one should... embark upon.
Hear me out, what if Slaanesh is crab because crab is perfection? After all, it is the final form. All of the ideals which evolution strives toward realized in a single, unsurpassable design. What if 🦀 is peak performance?
I haven't really read the books that involved the primarchs or Fulgrim in general, just read passages people post and blurbs on the subreddits and wiki, but the whole speech Fulgrim gives to his sons when they scared those civilians and are about to kill the one who touched him, Fulgrim immediately stopping his son, humbling him by saying they are like these people, then aiding the boy to his feet all while giving his speech then picking up the little girl and putting her on his shoulders, made me fall in love with Fulgrim and making him my favorite of the traitors "Look at them, my sons. You are the highest, and they, the lowest. It is your duty to raise them up, as high as they will go. Anything less is not worthy of you" and after your insight of him falling to an addiction, made me realise why I want Clonegrim to come back with a redemption arc, having someone fall low enough in my personal life so far that I had to call an ambulance and them still refusing help, even when you leave and hope and pray they get better on their own and they still fucking refuse to, its a pain that words can't describe, thanks for putting into words why I love this character when I didn't even know why I did, the tragic fall of Fulgrim is one that I saw personally through for 15 years as a child growing up one major thing people also forget about the daemon whispering to him is that it was happeneing for over a century aswell, that amount of time can weaken any human no matter their will
I'm 100% convinced there's no shot he falls to chaos if he doesn't touch that sword. He genuinely was one of the nicest primarchs, it just doesn't seem that way because a lot of his interactions we see are post orgy-sword or with his brothers. I think his ego makes him much more of an asshole around those who could be viewed as competition, but we see through Ferrus that when that competition is allowed to be friendly rather than spiteful he became incredibly close to them.
Excellent video. I've never cared for Fulgrim due to his snobbery, pretentiousness and envy he exhibits, but you did a great job by zoning in on the addiction aspect of what happened to him. I've done some work with addicts so its an interesting perspective. Also liked how you looked at how much his loss of Ferrus messed him up. Best video on ol Snake tits I've 'EVER' seen. Well done Arthur!!!
It should’ve been the first sign to the Emperor or hell even Horus that something was wrong when the perfection driven Primarch throws away one of the pinnacles of human weaponsmithing gifted to him by his loving brother for a sword of unknown origin from a planet of hedonistic Xenos
I never thought I'd hear the same thoughts about addiction and Fulgrim, not that other people wouldnt have thought it, but they might have dismissed it
To emphasize some details on boredom (by Labasta) she takes Boredom as effectively pain and pleasure of life- without it we will not be motivated in life as boredom is like that of a hot coal, a whip of life to motivate them to live life. It is the most human of emotions in that it pains people who are less human to be human. Those never motivated or feel neither pain nor pleasure live life as if asleep. To live one must go from one to the other- and boredom is a pain that brings a sweetness to pleasures and a bitterness to pains ever greater. Now Labasta is a OC i made and i wrote 14k words worth of notes on her for that. But i put characters in games and basically limit myself go just thinking by their character sheet basically through a method similar to meditation and she does a lot of chaos. But also there is other stuff. In boredom or to escape boredom one may imitate the values of a area such as Alna, or imitate values they wish others to see if they are more aware of what they present. Some may try to follow what they think they should do in what could be boredom or lack of value- either they succeed, fall into despair and possibly they could revaluate what they value and find it seconded to something else and change priority. Utilitarianism is that which a person must live strictly on their means and not escape past it- luxury is when a person cannot risk buying a cream cake does so despite the fact it is so costly for what they make. Boredom is fostered by utilitarianism (imperium) and Luxury is one of the balms… there is also freedom of it similar to how one’s face may demand being let off the grindstone after their nose is but shreds and who’s to blame if they turn on those holding them down or resist being held down (Khorn), the idle hands and desire for entertainment only found in ones head similar to one who resents but does not act (Tzz) or those who long and protest for what last year was like to return and forgetting what made things the way they were last year is what they are paying off today? (Nurgle)
It is my belief that Slaanesh's mental influence is the hardest to resist out of all the Chaos Gods. Perhaps rivaled by Tzeentch, but Nurgle and Khorne use more physical corruption.
Every time you just want to give up, Papa grows. Every time you just wanna kick back and do nothing, Papa grows. Every time you just wanna be yourself and not go to the gym, Papa grows. Nurgle is the hardest to fight. Every other god is fought by NOT doing something. But you need to DO something, to fight Nurgle.
Thank you so much for the video! I’ve also spent a lot of my life in a place where addiction was rampant, and… this really put a lot of things in perspective for the character. I really appreciate you sharing a bit of your experience and showing how it fits Fulgrim.

I'm new to your videos but i love your drawing of your real life experiences into your analysis of the primarchs. I feel like you're really hitting on deeper themes and whilst a somber listen, still one that provides almost a melancholic sort of relief, so thank you for that.
I hope one day we get perfect clone Fulgrim back as loyalist primarch. And its a deep dope rad redemption story. I also absolutely loved the deeper take that this video had. It was fabulous.
This video hits close to home as my wife has struggled with alcoholism the last few years... And I yern for the person that used to be instead of the shell that she has become ...
I think the idea of addiction is completely on point. Slaanesh is the god of excess, which is addiction in a nutshell. And fulgrim as her chosen had the make up both physical, mental and spiritual attributes that made him a perfect vessel and a perfect addict. Addiction in itself is the pursuit of 1 perfect moment, a perfect high, over and over again, which is what happens when you worship Slaanesh
I love your work man. Keep it up we should demand more depth from them. More care into the lore for this thing you try selling me. Make me care. Anyways awesome stuff.
Fulgrim is my favorite Primarch. Because I relate to his desires to help others, to be perfect in everything to reach the perceived expectations of others. Dealing with addictions and excess that damages you. Looking at Fulgrim and his sons are looking into a mirror for me. And elaborating on talking about how you relating to Primarchs seeing Fulgrim's downfall. Angel Exterminatus is such a great book, as it's two of my favorite Primarchs rubbing against each other. Perturabo sees how undisciplined the Emperor's Children are compared to his sons, how depraved Fulgrim is. He is shocked at how Fulgrim is acting, he was always one of the most noble and graceful of Perturabo's brothers. Then when Fulgrim is ascending to Daemonhood. Perturabo feels, awful at how far Fulgrim has fallen. That the once noble man he knew is long gone. Now he feels that he has no choice but to put Fulgrim out of his misery. It's a depressing moment, kinda like cutting off a family member or friend who you know are just a lost cause.
Pre-Heresy Fulgrim was among the best. When I was reading _Fulgrim_ I just wanted to save him (from the sword, from his own poor decisions, from his towering insecurity). I couldn't, but that didn't stop me feeling that if I could only have done so! Just because a person is fictional doesn't mean that they can't resonate with you, and leave you with more than when you started reading.
I never really made that connection with addiction before but I definitely like that as an explanation. One I find relatable. Like I have a nicotine addiction, and it's extremely rare that I recognize that it as a bad thing, usually only when I have no way to access that nicotine for a considerable time. Even when I tell myself oh I just won't use it now that I don't have access as soon as I do have access to it again it's a literal impulse to seek it out and get it again. So the comparison with having a demon whisper in your ear in your own voice telling you to do things you thing is just you is extremely relatable and makes Fulgrim make a lot more sense.
I have intimate understanding of battling addiction, and I appreciate how respectfully you made your points ❤ I honestly had a hard time understanding Fulgrim before, but your video helped! Thank you!
There's a limit to what others can take from people who are addicted and/or have psychological issues. There was a friend of mine, who had both issues, and the rest of the friend circle tried our best to help. We're talking not one chance, but ten, twenty chances. Each time he got better, then got worse. It was a rollercoaster. There was one friend in particular who stuck up to our version of 'Fulgrim'. I mean, he defended him all the time, calmed the other friends that were sometimes angry at the increasing abuse that ailing friend could throw our way at the drop of a hat. He was the 'Ferrus' of the story, if you'd like. And then one day, about two years ago, that friend definitely lost it, lost the map and made vile threats against 'Ferrus' and most importantly his family. 'Ferrus' then completely cut 'Fulgrim' from his life, to the point that he now coldly refuses to have anything to do with the guy (yes, the threats had been that vile). and after heaps and heaps of verbal abuse and (lesser) threats of our own, the rest of us let go to. My point is that there comes a time when addiction no longer is a valid reason, when actions become so awful that it surpasses the explanations behind them. I sympathize for the Fulgrim of the Great Crusade and the very early part of the Heresy, but I have zero pity for Fulgrim now. He needs to go down.
I also love that Fulgrim was the only primarch to unify his world peacefully. It shows how genuine his intent for a better humanity was, he didn't want to rule the planet and the people on it he just wanted to make life better and more worth living and working for. He wasnt like Lorgar whom felt the higher powers would give humanity meaning, he just wanted people to give life meaning themselves. But that well meant indulgence and luxury begins the slow decline into self indulgence, narcissism, and self aggrandizement at all costs.
ok... backstories take a look at fulgrim after he is with the emperor and before that and there is a massive disconnect as they seem like entirely different people. same thing for Perturabo . switch origin world stories for the both of them and it just fits characterwise. Fulgrim after meeting the emperor is a whiny narcissist drunk on his own perfection and violently angry at anyone that can best him in anything which matches Perty's origin world story to a T. meanwhile Perty after meeting the Emporer was majorly into sacrifice, duty, hardwork till he can make the spare time to pursue his passions in building and infrastructure development which fits Fulgrims origin world story to a T. I wonder if someone just mixed up the storyboard setting for them by accident several times
- get all my pleasures and desires satisfied - get to be a winged half snake person - don't have to be part of the cringeperium i dont see the downside man
A tragedy of fulgrim is that he did get another chance to start over after hitting rock bottom in the form of Clonegrim. Where his true spirit may be inhabiting the clone. Only now he's frozen eternally in solemance as part of Trazyns collection when Fabius recognized that perfectionist streak rising to the surface and sold him off like a plastic trinket.
Arthur, you’re an excellent content creator. Love your stuff so much man, I never would’ve given Fulgrim a second thought if not for the way you’ve described him here. Keep it up man, your 40k content is brilliant and your personality is excellent for these types of videos
Found the Ferrus Manus video today. Ait, this guy's good, makes some good points and some good cases, let's go back. Watch the Lion video. 'O shit, this is a bit real, I've always understood this cycle but never been able to express it this well!' Watch Fulgrim video. 'Oh shit, oh fuck, this is so sad.' *Crying*
When I was learning about all the Primarchs, Fulgrim would rank at the higher end of the list, its a beautifully sad story about him losing himself to Slaanesh over time and it makes me sad we never got to see him as a Loyalist. As I would kill to see that. I know about the Fulgrim clone, but I've stopped taking the copium and accepted the fact he will never come back.
Genuinely interesting insight. I'm not sure the GW writers have thought about Fulgrim as reflectively as you have here, but your analogy works well. Fulgrim is tragic hero, and the failure to realise his hopes for the betterment of mankind make his story a tragic one for the Imperium overall. Saying that, I can't wait for the EC release and a new Snakey Fulgrim Emperoro's Kiddies' army!
I've always thought Fulgrim had PTSD'ish. Almost like if anything could cause a crack, a slip, or back step in anything it reminded of what and where he came from. One of my favorite examples (In my theory/idea) is honestly in his Primarch book where he is actually trying to reason with Bile and get him to...well form camaraderie. Yes he thinks this is silly, but when Bile is adamant that all his "Brothers" died and he was alone (talking about the Gene-Flaw deaths before Fulgrim), Fulgrim in the span of seconds thought of snapping his head or tearing it off one of those two. One of the most brilliant Apothecaries out of all the Legions, but because he was a wall in the middle of Fulgrim's sophistry and speech, his anger was like a hot flash and he nearly killed him right there for having a different opinion.

It really feels like a chat with a friend
former gifted kid here, i relate more to him than i want to
Super sus.
don't pick up a pengus sword
Gifted kids just get Fulgrim by default.
Great work.
Clone Fulgrim should make a comeback
I genuinely love Fulgrim's arc and story, its absolutely one of the strongest and most complex out of all of the Primarch's in the Heresy.
Him and Lorgar really put in the best shift when it comes to humanised Chaos characters, its the pinnacle of tragedy. And unlike the other Primarchs, especially Magnus, I feel like Fulgrim has very little agency in his own downfall
I would say he has very little downfall.
Fulgrim needed to touch grass.
He does so often.....oh! wait there is a g and an r in what you typed.
majorkill really did fulgrim dirty. This makes so much more sense and makes him sound wayyy cooler
Well Majorkill does nothing but damage to the 40k community with his videos so…
@@cryamistellimek9184nah he basically said the same thing author did in less than 10 minutes.
@@Idle1996no he didn't all his video did was talk about sex and cum for like 8-10 minutes adding nothing hes part of the reason people think fulgrim is nothing but a "rape snake" sex addict when it goes deeper than that.
Tbf Majorcrybaby should be exempt from most discussions.
majorkill oversimplifies and overmemes his videos to the point where most of them are not accurate. it's very annoying
The Iron Hands definitely don’t like Fulgrim. They lose their heads over it.
what an insight.
The fact that you have personal experience of addition makes this twice as important and ten times as moving.
This video made me realize why I relate to Fulgrim. Addiction and the drive to perfection. Also this is an EXCELLENT video and I am SO excited for more.
I like this one, especially your wrap-up at the ending.
I fully agree with you on “he is one of the most tend to be like for most people but actually not that much really like him”
Also, I agree that he has a capability and capacity with extreme good & bad things (which now we know it the latter…)
The most touch and devastating part in this video is again at the ending when you spoke about his feeling with Ferrus, how he valued this cave man (based on his hideous and introvert personality, not that he lived in a cave… wasn’t it 🤔) as it is the same thought I figured it out myself too.
He only came back because he was trickery forced to.)
PS.
(even though being a fictional character)
The struggle to addiction was relatable to me as well.
Hope all out there struggle can find a support / anchor.
Best wishes, and thank you!
Fulgrim is IMO the most complex and well written Primarch, and his fall to chaos was in utter tragedy.
I love your more humorous videos but this one was damn good. My wife was an addict for 5 years before we got together and working withbher to keep her clean was a learning experience and taught me alot about what people in addiction go through. So i very much appreciate this video and your insights and thoughts on it.
9:32 the sad thing is that statement is ambiguous for the entire US
As one intimately familiar with the full run of addiction, from first person to third person, high to low: you are pretty much on point with your observations.
I haven't really read the books that involved the primarchs or Fulgrim in general, just read passages people post and blurbs on the subreddits and wiki, but the whole speech Fulgrim gives to his sons when they scared those civilians and are about to kill the one who touched him, Fulgrim immediately stopping his son, humbling him by saying they are like these people, then aiding the boy to his feet all while giving his speech then picking up the little girl and putting her on his shoulders, made me fall in love with Fulgrim and making him my favorite of the traitors
"Look at them, my sons. You are the highest, and they, the lowest. It is your duty to raise them up, as high as they will go. Anything less is not worthy of you"
and after your insight of him falling to an addiction, made me realise why I want Clonegrim to come back with a redemption arc, having someone fall low enough in my personal life so far that I had to call an ambulance and them still refusing help, even when you leave and hope and pray they get better on their own and they still fucking refuse to, its a pain that words can't describe, thanks for putting into words why I love this character when I didn't even know why I did, the tragic fall of Fulgrim is one that I saw personally through for 15 years as a child growing up
one major thing people also forget about the daemon whispering to him is that it was happeneing for over a century aswell, that amount of time can weaken any human no matter their will
I'm 100% convinced there's no shot he falls to chaos if he doesn't touch that sword.
2:30 summed up: West Virginia.
You've done this character a lot of justice, man. It's also great to see someone looking further into the themes that 40k stories try to convey
You've made me re-evaluate my stance on Fulgrim. That's something.
Fulgrim? I hear he does strange things to his lore
I always thought the crab element is because of the meme that crabs are the perfect evolutionary end point. How everything eventually became crab.
Being born from an all-psychic species that was to be a disposable bio-weapon can do that to warp gods.
I understand why i adore the pre fall and loathe the post fall. Thank you, sir. And thank you for sharing something that i know is intensely personal.
Thank you so much for the video! I’ve also spent a lot of my life in a place where addiction was rampant, and… this really put a lot of things in perspective for the character. I really appreciate you sharing a bit of your experience and showing how it fits Fulgrim.
I love fulgrims stroy and had not really know why, but hearing his story explained like this has made things click :)
Deep analysis mate! Best one you've done
This was very thoughtful and well done in my opinion, think you nailed it. Credit to you and your content has become one of my favorite , uou fund news ways to discuss familiar topics in a different view
I like the way you spun fulgrims story, your view is often something I look forward too.
God, i came here to learn a little bit more of Fulgrim's lore, not to cry.
Great video man
Say what you want but MY LOOORD emperors children armour goes so goddamn fucking hard with the purple and gold
I appreciate you sharing a personal anecdote… This is one of the things I love so much about Warhammer… It can be a silly little sci-fi universe…
There are also a lot of really serious topics that a number of characters deal with… A lot of the Laura can be really great to contemplate when you’re thinking about situations in your own life
You know, I never thought it was a tale of addiction but it 1000% is.
And Slaanesh is absolutely the pusher. First one's free, and then you never, EVER stop paying.
this video is incredible, it start from a fictional caracter part of a tabletop/books and talks of one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult topics of this time and age. depressing video? maybe BUT this is something that everyone age 18 and above (I am a 50 years old fart) not only should know pretty well but should be ready to deal on an everyday basis... on a lighter note: not big into flugrim but this video make me want to know more... thanks, as usual, amazing job
this video single-handedly made fulgrim my favorite primarch. unironically.
I'm new to your videos but i love your drawing of your real life experiences into your analysis of the primarchs. I feel like you're really hitting on deeper themes and whilst a somber listen, still one that provides almost a melancholic sort of relief, so thank you for that.
Million dollar idea, Fulgrim released in 40K is a set. Demon Fulgrim and Clonegrim, entire narrative about if it’s possible to redeem a legion
Knows who else was a pretty boy who was struggling with addiction? Sanguinius. Weird the emperor got two of those.
I hope one day we get perfect clone Fulgrim back as loyalist
primarch. And its a deep dope rad redemption story.
I also absolutely loved the deeper take that this video had. It was fabulous.
This video hits close to home as my wife has struggled with alcoholism the last few years... And I yern for the person that used to be instead of the shell that she has become ...
Ol' boy says he hates getting personal, yet IN EVERY ONE OF THESE VIDEOS HE GETS PERSONAL
It's incredible how well written the traitor primarchs are. I can never settle on a favorite, besides maybe perterabo.
I have intimate understanding of battling addiction, and I appreciate how respectfully you made your points ❤
I honestly had a hard time understanding Fulgrim before, but your video helped!
I think this is some of the best content you’ve made.
Baldermort’s got a great compliment to this vid
Best breakdown of a character in 40k I've seen.
Fulgrim is the personification of the tragedy of the Imperium and the Primarchs. He had so much potential, only for that potential to be squandered.
Quote: Fulgrim sucks.
- Mr. Bones 40k from astartes anonymous
ok... backstories
take a look at fulgrim after he is with the emperor and before that and there is a massive disconnect as they seem like entirely different people.
same thing for Perturabo .
switch origin world stories for the both of them and it just fits characterwise.
You made me remember why I loved that book, thanks
Fulgrim and the Emperor's children are the embodymebt of the "pride before the fall" thing
We really not gonna mention his encounter with rylanor huh? RIP….. in all seriousness you nailed this one right on the head! Great job man I loved it
- get all my pleasures and desires satisfied
- get to be a winged half snake person
- don't have to be part of the cringeperium
i dont see the downside man
A tragedy of fulgrim is that he did get another chance to start over after hitting rock bottom in the form of Clonegrim. Where his true spirit may be inhabiting the clone. Only now he's frozen eternally in solemance as part of Trazyns collection when Fabius recognized that perfectionist streak rising to the surface and sold him off like a plastic trinket.
That video was awesome and really hit home for me. I have a newfound perspective on Fulgrim now.
I like Fulgrim's fall. It shows that even the best aren't untouchable.
'O shit, this is a bit real, I've always understood this cycle but never been able to express it this well!'
Watch Fulgrim video.
I know the story and the idea of what he is but your true life experiences mixed in has given me a new found love for him
Lee Pace as Thranduil is how I have always seen Fulgrim.
Fulgrim is the only fallen primarch I have sympathy for. He's also, as I see it, the only one who isn't completely responsible for his fall.
This video is some of your best work.
Your interpretation of Fulgrim's affliction reflecting aspects of drug addiction is spot on.
