You could, but a wall does not have as much flexibility as a bag. Therefore every square inch of your hand will not get "the shock". The beans and steel shot in the bag is very hard but also flexible giving conditioning to every part of the hand.
Thanks xanomaly! I appreciate it! Yes 50 per day. Go as high as 100 reps per day! Mung beans are great but rice is the best since it makes the bag so dense! The DVD is being done tonight and will be available within a couple of days!
Our classes are vigorous physically so about 85% of my workout consists of Qi Gong, Iron Body, and the Exercises like Pushups, Pullups, Squats, Horse Stance, etc. we do during classes and on my own at home. But, I do have a weightlifting system with free weights at home that I like to use to cross train!
I use Iron ore pellets. The reason being as the pellets start dusting it goes into the pore of your hands and you should be using a lament for more blood flow and bruising for faster healing . There more to it then smacking a bag and should be hitting the bag in a knife hand position . I even do my fingertips as well ....
Yes it is! Depending on how you do it. Using Liniments and Herbs externally and internally is what we do but, it is not necessary. Have a great diet with lots of vegetables, grains, legumes, etc and your bones will heal strong and fast!
Cool vid, a boxer would just use a punch bag, or Thai Boxer would use wood or trees, would achieve the same results. In Muay Thai my trainer used to tell us to kick trees with your shins for good conditioning, hurts like hell when you are starting out, basically the philosophy is to not hit anything which is greater than your own elements eg. bone to steel.
Great teachings thank you, I subscribed, I have a question if you have the time, there is no negative side effects long-term of hitting the bare wall for you bones? Any advises to prevent injuries short and long term? Thanks in advance. Again, great teachings.
Its so hard watching those arm wrestling fails when the arm snaps. I would think this kind of training is a MUST to those entering into professional arm wrestling.
Yes training traditional shaolin iron palm will do a 180 on your arthritis I recommend getting the book "Ultimate Iron Palm" by sifu wing lam, you're also going to need dit da jow which is dangerous of this guy not to mention
Ive studied Iron Palm since I was young, Ive fallen from trees, hit by a crazy taxi driver in Manhattan, fell down a 20 degree mountain side with big rocks, been hit with baseballs and even a bat once, pelted by pool balls, and even kicked in the ribs by a crackhead mugger. I have yet to break any bones, knock out any adult teeth, cavities, or chipped teeth. I twisted my ankle something bad, but bone was fine.
I was taught that the Shaolin Grandmaster from the Fu Jian Shaolin Temple fled to Indonesia in the early 1900's and then taught Kung Fu from there! His specialty was Iron Palm! I was also taught that Iron Bone comes from Hua Shan! Who knows what is true and what is not!
Your the man, Jake. Im envious of your students. Thanks for putting so mhch info in each video. I have so many questions. . . First, Jordan and I use mung beans, what do you think of those? Also did you say start with 50?? How does one know when its time to step up the material or the reps? Thanks again. Ps, wouldnt not mind at all buying the "Jake Mace complete iron bone" dvd ;)
It seems to me that you could hit just about anything to get the same results like wooden board or even the floor. How do you think something might work?
why do you look like johnnie from cobra kia gym ??? (karate kid) grate vid btw :) I am planning to build a dojo in my home and I'm planning to have a iron palm platform there :)
Yes, but is not optimal because it packs together too quickly and does not have the slight amount of give from the larger bean/shot sized filler you need for the training.
of corse - also if you dont eat animal products that reduce bone mass and increase risk of fracture ...and eat enough calcium, vitamin d (sunlight) and vitamin k you bones will be stronger and stronger up till old age
i had a bag like that an i filled it with sand them went up to round small stone i got from an old fish tank any why after 6 month of using its it burst in the middle.
using med , will recover faster and have higher tolerance to cellular breakdown. and promote healing.but again continues depend on med is no good either.
Rajkumar rout No. You cannot make your bones "unbreakable" no matter what kind of training you do. You can only make them stronger and more difficult to break. Comparetively, you may seem "unbreakable" to others, simply because you are stronger than them.
Rajkumar rout True that, nicely said! though the Chinese have known to be fantastics and won't stop until task accomplish! If that means to achieve the level beyond pinnacles. Even making a deal with the devil! That's the dark side of Chinese philosophy! It's in their DNA to accomplish the impossible!
1-can i do it on my door?2- or a bag filled with books?3- or bottle of water or a hole filled with water, XD i made these numbers so u wont get lazy to choose one and help me, im serious...
Technically yes but that would be latter stage training and not if you use improper techniques and no medicine like this guy, unless you dont give a shit about your hands.
Yes it is! Depending on how you do it. Using Liniments and Herbs externally and internally is what we do but, it is not necessary. Have a great diet with lots of vegetables, grains, legumes, etc and your bones will heal strong and fast!

Sweet. Thanks for the feedback!

You make very helpful videos
Thank you

You have a lot of good stuff here. I'm always looking to improve my abilities. Thanks for this, and yes I subscribed ha

what about strengthening the joints and ligaments
Thanks Man!
Just curious as to the lineage of this "Iron Bone" system you teach?
Pretty cool.
It seems to me that you could hit just about anything to get the same results like wooden board or even the floor. How do you think something might work?
say I dont have this shaolin bag, can i use the floor with a towel on it to get the same effect?
the girls love the hands after this! ++++
Can I practise this with weight training.
Hello. How heavy is that bag ? When you say "Steel Shot", do you means "Cast Steel" or "Chrome Steel" ? Thank You for You Time.
Sir can we practice this at home?...is medication necessary to heal externally?
You don't use Dit Da Jow to aid your training?
Where are you today bro. .
every other day for how long you do it until you get iron bones?
Thought we r willing to do all such thing. Where will I get all such things n if nt then how will I manage to do will no equipment??

The pimp hand is strong with this one.
why do you look like johnnie from cobra kia gym ??? (karate kid)
grate vid btw :) I am planning to build a dojo in my home and I'm planning to have a iron palm platform there :)
why can't you use pea gravel?
Thanks for the reply but it hasn't really answered my question.
And stay away frome chrome as well .
may i can use sand in bag?
Yes
Yes, but is not optimal because it packs together too quickly and does not have the slight amount of give from the larger bean/shot sized filler you need for the training.
Does iron bone training still work after we have passed the age of peak bone mass (~ age 25-30)?
of corse - also if you dont eat animal products that reduce bone mass and increase risk of fracture ...and eat enough calcium, vitamin d (sunlight) and vitamin k you bones will be stronger and stronger up till old age
I might be wrong, but I think that it is not healthy to condition your bones without using corresponding medicines
Would sand be okay
i had a bag like that an i filled it with sand them went up to
round small stone i got from an old fish tank any why after 6 month
of using its it burst in the middle.
hit wall as starter still make your bone strong, but not optimal to training the skin and force.
it is not necessary to use med, unless you are doing it very slow.
can we also keep rice grain it
Xenon hero yes he advised that in the vid
It is do or not
can you just use a pellow case
no
So just as to be sure you are located in Phoenix Arizona?
When I'm like 20 I'm just gonna work out my calves and do iron bone work outs on my shins. Also the rest of my body.
If you do it the way he does it then yes
using med , will recover faster and have higher tolerance to cellular breakdown. and promote healing.but again continues depend on med is no good either.

well that was interesting
1-can i do it on my door?2- or a bag filled with books?3- or bottle of water or a hole filled with water,
XD i made these numbers so u wont get lazy to choose one and help me, im serious...
Can I hit a wall instead? 😅
Technically yes but that would be latter stage training and not if you use improper techniques and no medicine like this guy, unless you dont give a shit about your hands.
Yes dont do what he is doing its extremely incorrect iron palm training, unless you want long term problems with your hands that is.
Can i just fill this up with sand?
Yes it is! Depending on how you do it. Using Liniments and Herbs externally and internally is what we do but, it is not necessary. Have a great diet with lots of vegetables, grains, legumes, etc and your bones will heal strong and fast!
