To think, Ellen was actually alive during this game, just in hypersleep and thousands of lightyears away, Amanda just assumed she was dead and completely unaware.
Yep. The events of alien isolation take place 10 years after the events of Alien and the Nostromo. So whilst Amanda is running around sevastopol, Ellen is floating through space in hypersleep

feel the same way this should be a sequel to the first alien movie but we got aliens which was one awesome badass horror action movie made by one of the greatest directors ever James Cameron.
It's far better to keep the threat of the acid blood more legitimate. It wasn't so that killing them would harm you, but rather killing them within a spacestation would be utter suicide. Just try closing bulkheads when there's a pinhole through 7 floors. You're fucked.
Even after all these years later, it's still amazing how this beautiful looking game could be run by a very modest budget gpu. This alone should have gotten some kind of reward of the year for this awesome game.
Just a weird idea, but if i were there with an alien running around.. i'd take off my shoes and run around barefoot. Shoes make noise, bare feet, not so much.. I'd give myself away by not controling my breath though.. if i saw an alien like that, i'd be breathing heavily as fuck and probably pee myself
Like Dorian Sudler lol? For real though, as long as you always had access to pressure tight boots when you had to leave the interior of the ship or anytime there was risk of being exposed to the vacuum of space, you could get them or they were always paired with the space suits then yeah go barefoot or socks. You'd have to keep your boots however if there was ANY chance of space suits not ALWAYS having them though or you'd die pretty quickly from the vacuum exposed feet.
Imagine if they added a surprise update to the game and added the ability for Axel to stay alive and co op the whole game giving an alternative ending if he stayed alive. But if he died anywhere in the game you’d be on your own again
Like take as an example the cutscene where you and Axel talk about survival. The other guys are right on your ass anyways. Two of them catch up in the middle of the cutscene, back you and Axel into a corner at gunpoint. The alien goes after them first. One dies the way Axel did, the other scared out of his mind starts shooting at the vent in terror for his fallen friend and give you and Axel time to escape to progress the game
the question is when will part 2 be coming out. and who picks amanda ripley up. I cannot be her mom cause in aliens ripley said she would be there for her daughters eleventh birthday and this is in between the ending of alien and aliens. I think in the next one amanda now knows her mom is alive and wants to search for her and another alien will be on board The new ship she is on.
7:38 more realistic version Captain: hmm serious situation and very staticky for a station that's top of the line Passenger: seems fine let's get in our space suits and just jump over Captain:.......HOW bout we do the smart thing idiot and not go down their!
Yea, that bothered me as well. There is nothing quite so infuriating in horror films as the categorically stupid decisions that no rational person would make....
And given that there wasn't a big whole in her helmet in the glass section, or a head that's been split open, it would definitely imply that she was not only found, but is alive.
What the hell was with that ending? I don't understand how that happened. Spoilers below. When did the alien get on the ship? I was sure that ripely was going to get safely on board and then have one burst out of her chest. When she got abducted, she broke free far too easily. I thought it must have been set up.
Given that they can easily survive in the vacuum of space I imagine one jumped across at any time during the game. Most likely during those final moments though.
they could turn this into a trilogy depicting Amanda evolving from survivor to alien slaying badass. Then explain how she managed to live so long until the company found her as an old woman and "Explains" to Ellen Ripley her mom that she died of old age instead of them killing her.
I love this game so much that I'll watch a random playthrough or all cut scenes from start to finish. Please give us an Alien Isolation next Gen Upgrade!!
I hope they make this into the actual movie. I think they’re working on the one after the very first movie right now. Disney said they’re not touching any of the R rated movies that they bought into so hopefully they’ll back fox with more money to make the film amazing tho
Giles Trollston 1:48:57 Verlaine says that she switched the airlocks to auto, which means that the Aliens could board the Torrens through the airlocks as well.
Mission Objective: Return to Ricardo (with open arms) 😂😂😂😂😂 Amanda: I need you Ricardo: Wait, Can I have a salsa dance first with you? Marlow: You ditch me bitch. Now I am with Taylor now Guy from Battlefield Bad Company: Marlow get back here
This honestly was a perfect game. Story was good and made sense, the characters were good and you actually cared, the atmosphere was spot on, the gameplay was great, the alien was nerve wracking. No bad part of the game at all. It was good from start to finish. Damn, I wish I could go back in time and play this all over again.
1:37:15 you forgot a custscene from the alien, he see you through the window and run then he goes into a vent (I'm not speaking about the one where the alien see you through the door)
This game was made to be at 60 FPS on a previous gen machine. I know they don't have big open world levels. But still it looks gorgeous even now. Skin shaders are very nice. A little TAA would have been appreciated, though. All this aliasing, especially specular aliasing is very visible.
As much as I enjoyed this game I hope if they make another you can kill aliens an not always run away an hide. A combination of the two would be a nice addition combat an hiding.
I have never played this game myself, (although I have seen the first two movies), but just from these cutscenes I have become a fan, I really like Amanda's character and was so happy to hear them reuse Jerry Goldsmith's masterful soundtrack. Also, whoever designed Sevastopol station's levels is a genius. This game really highlights what made both movies but especially the first one such classics, that feeling of being utterly human in this scenario, other monster films have magic weapons or super powers but here, you are just as helpless as you would be in the real world, just my thoughts, forgive the book xd.

I am still playing the game, and I know I'm stupid, but it's so awesome and cool I can't wait to know what happens. Never ever did watch a video game movie before until actually finishing the game. Incredible game, really.
Axel looks like Agent 47 😂
Even today I agree with Marlow with destroying the ship.
This should be a movie. Very well done.
feel the same way this should be a sequel to the first alien movie but we got aliens which was one awesome badass horror action movie made by one of the greatest directors ever James Cameron.
Now thats a lotta cutscenes
It's far better to keep the threat of the acid blood more legitimate. It wasn't so that killing them would harm you, but rather killing them within a spacestation would be utter suicide. Just try closing bulkheads when there's a pinhole through 7 floors. You're fucked.
Even after all these years later, it's still amazing how this beautiful looking game could be run by a very modest budget gpu. This alone should have gotten some kind of reward of the year for this awesome game.
This game was brilliant and one of my favourites
In Dreamcatcher movie, Morgan Freeman was saying to his inferior officer "Crawling with Ripleys" 😂

Cyber0135, that is actually a brilliant idea
Yeah but shoes protect your feet from cuts
I'd probably try to cover my shoes in a rubber or maybe just wear lots of socks?
Like Dorian Sudler lol?
For real though, as long as you always had access to pressure tight boots when you had to leave the interior of the ship or anytime there was risk of being exposed to the vacuum of space, you could get them or they were always paired with the space suits then yeah go barefoot or socks. You'd have to keep your boots however if there was ANY chance of space suits not ALWAYS having them though or you'd die pretty quickly from the vacuum exposed feet.
@Share The Music You realize feet smell bad cause of Shoes and Socks, right?
Your videos are the reason I get up in the morning
Wait, does Samuels even need a spacesuit?
They'd have to rewrite the entire game 😂
i'm not sure i understand the ending here, but did amanda die floating out in space?
feuryie I don't think she's dead, definitely a part 2 coming imo
Gamers Little Playground™
thanks for the info, and the video. :)
the question is when will part 2 be coming out. and who picks amanda ripley up. I cannot be her mom cause in aliens ripley said she would be there for her daughters eleventh birthday and this is in between the ending of alien and aliens. I think in the next one amanda now knows her mom is alive and wants to search for her and another alien will be on board The new ship she is on.
amanda will live. Look forward to the next game.

In the movie sequel, "Aliens", when Ellen Ripley is rescued her daughter had long since died.
7:38 more realistic version
Captain: hmm serious situation and very staticky for a station that's top of the line
Passenger: seems fine let's get in our space suits and just jump over
Captain:.......HOW bout we do the smart thing idiot and not go down their!
Yea, that bothered me as well. There is nothing quite so infuriating in horror films as the categorically stupid decisions that no rational person would make....
almost think they should of pursued a feature film adaptation after the games success
love these game movies! plse keep making more:)
Lesson learned
1)dont take androids for deep space journey
2)dont enter alien structures and touch random stuff
Still a better written story then any of the last 3 Star Wars movies.
I wish this got a sequel.
I think she mite have survived, because in the movie Aliens there waz a seen were elen riply herd news about her daughter, that she died of old age.
Yep. There was a light at the end implying that she was found.
And given that there wasn't a big whole in her helmet in the glass section, or a head that's been split open, it would definitely imply that she was not only found, but is alive.
Блин,два раза уже эту игру прошла,а до сих пор в дрожь бросает!!!Классная игра!!!👍😀
What the hell was with that ending? I don't understand how that happened. Spoilers below.
When did the alien get on the ship? I was sure that ripely was going to get safely on board and then have one burst out of her chest. When she got abducted, she broke free far too easily. I thought it must have been set up.

"When did the alien get on the ship?"
I'm going to assume it some how managed to get on board while it was docked to the maintenance rig.
Given that they can easily survive in the vacuum of space I imagine one jumped across at any time during the game. Most likely during those final moments though.
1:48:57 Verlaine says that she switched the airlocks to auto, which means that the Aliens could board the Torrens through the airlocks as well.
I am a alien fan and i thought this game was great!
Jurassic Man me to
Hell Yeah :)
This game is Badass🖤🔥🖤🔥 I love the Alien Movies and Alien Isolation!!
Amongst all the games I have, this is the only one that I'm still working on passing. It's just so damn scary like the movie. Kudos to Sega
Good Video :D. I love alien :D
I respect Marlowe he wanted to do what was necessary
So Androids are enemies even before we got them in our phones 😂
I would never been able to play this game, I like watching it though.
they could turn this into a trilogy depicting Amanda evolving from survivor to alien slaying badass. Then explain how she managed to live so long until the company found her as an old woman and "Explains" to Ellen Ripley her mom that she died of old age instead of them killing her.
That would have been great
We really need a sequel to this game.
This is more entertaining to watch then Romulus.
Just bought Covenant on Blu Ray, definitely getting this next
bad decision
I love this game so much that I'll watch a random playthrough or all cut scenes from start to finish.
Please give us an Alien Isolation next Gen Upgrade!!
im watching this with headphones the sound design of this game is amazing. shit scared the crap out of me a few times.
Just about to start playing this game i love all the alien movies so should love this game
This is the sequel that should've been
I hope they make this into the actual movie. I think they’re working on the one after the very first movie right now. Disney said they’re not touching any of the R rated movies that they bought into so hopefully they’ll back fox with more money to make the film amazing tho
Had been very dissapointed by the end..
Giles Trollston when it was docked.
It’s Alien anything is possible! I just want an Alien Isolation 2 game though. Cause the 1st is such a Masterpiece!!!
Nothing else Matters The Xenomorphs are smart they can breath easily in space

This game was amazing 10/10.
Mission Objective: Return to Ricardo (with open arms) 😂😂😂😂😂
Amanda: I need you
Ricardo: Wait, Can I have a salsa dance first with you?
Marlow: You ditch me bitch. Now I am with Taylor now
Guy from Battlefield Bad Company: Marlow get back here
This honestly was a perfect game. Story was good and made sense, the characters were good and you actually cared, the atmosphere was spot on, the gameplay was great, the alien was nerve wracking. No bad part of the game at all. It was good from start to finish. Damn, I wish I could go back in time and play this all over again.
1:37:15 you forgot a custscene from the alien, he see you through the window and run then he goes into a vent (I'm not speaking about the one where the alien see you through the door)
chills given first playing the game and the wire broke between torrens and sevastopol and taylors scream bro i missed those days
This is by far the best and scariest horror game, I’ve ever seen and ever played, that first encounter decimated me, and I’ve played outlast
Marlow was the only smart guy.
Really, RIP
This game was made to be at 60 FPS on a previous gen machine. I know they don't have big open world levels. But still it looks gorgeous even now. Skin shaders are very nice. A little TAA would have been appreciated, though. All this aliasing, especially specular aliasing is very visible.
What platforms is this game available on?
Are you playing this on expert setting?
Games like this are the future now of the Alien(s) universe, not the movies now. Alien Covenant saw to that.
Imagine a found footage Alien film.
dragonrider0601 let’s...not
1:16:30 Biggest jumpscare. Holy fuck
Dear God, that was bloody terrifying.
