There's still part of me that wishes this had been Optimus Prime with an upgrade/power boost (I think it was one of the later series that showed characters changing colour when they got a power boost of some kind). That aside, as a figure I got fairly recently (as I only ever owned the MP version) it's still a great figure for it's age, great request from Markus, awesome review, almost there to review 100 😄
I think maybe the upgrade in comour thing was in the Cybertron Trilogy. Can't say for certain though. I could see this being an upgraded Prime in lore however, he loses far too much of his distinct look as a result. Powermaster Prime works better in that regard as you can tell it's him.
There are some that call Ultra Magnus just Optimus Prime in fancy armor. I don't think that is a fair label. Oh well. It is a nice figure for the time. Sweet review. Keep up the awesome. :)
I think perhaps it may have been the original plan. In the Diaclone universe it was supposed to be the same mech with an upgrade. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Not bad, thank you! Out of interest, how long has it been since you caught a video from me? If it has been a while, you have quite a bit to catch up on! Lol
I wouldn't have everyone patting you on the back just yet fella. We have a 6 week review series on the Sparkbots and Firecons coming up at some point soon.
Cool. Had him as a kid, unfortunately I think I lost most of him and the trailer broke quite early on which wasn't great (I didn't do well with big stuff, lol) and was mostly left with white Prime, which I was happy enough with. As awesome as he is, as I say - I found him too big and cumbersome as a child really, my head was too chaotic for all the bits and pieces. Which is ok, I mean he is a very cool beast, I was just a bit of a weird kid! :)
Nothing wrong with being a weird kid. Schools wouldn't have functioned without us! Mind you, I dismantled a G1 Scorponok cause I wanted to understand how it worked. So maybe being the weird kid did have its drawbacks!. Lol
hehe, yeah I wouldnt change being weird for anything - found out a few years ago that I'm Aspergic, which, far from being a negative thing, distinguishes me in some ways I think. :)
@@WolfKang1 It really does. I was 42 when I got diagnosed (I'm 46 now). Totally worth it. Its like Hands says in Boston Legal - "I always knew there was something different about me, now I know what it is". Quite liberating. :)
Magnus is such an amazing toy.
So much play factor and fun.
My hand’s not steady enough to paint the head, so I just picked up a spare for mine! 🙂
One of my all time favourites.
That was awesome 👏
Thank you for watching!

@@WolfKang1Sounds about right, and yeah, the Powermaster version looks much better.

Thise must be reissue tires. The one i had as a kid had all rubber tires
There were two version back in the day. Rubber tyre version and plastic. The plastic version was a lot more common.

@@Feenix102 Mum always used to call me Asperger's boy. Never diagnosed but it would explain so much random shit. Hahaa
