    Great review, I’ve been a Sony fanboy for ever and really trying to convince myself the C70 is better than a FX6. I need a change and I think the C70 is the one although I’m really confused with the RF mount and Canon lenses.

      I think if you’re already invested in Sony go for the FX6 but the c70 is also a great camera. The RF mount is basically jsur letting us use either rf lenses or Ef lenses converted to RF with the adapter

      @@thebobbymedia I purchased a new C70 the other day and so glad that I dig, it’s a fantastic camera and so easy to use.

    Great Content: If you purchase a camera today, would you recommend the sony fx3 or the canon r6 mark ii for doc/vlog content or any other suggestions? I also like to take pictures on occasion. Thanks, great content

      Thank you! I'd definitely recommend the canon R6 mark ii if you are looking to do photo and video. However if your main focus is video I think the fx3 is the best option in that price range

      I too bought a c70 and own a fx3.... for the price of an fx3 i would recommend 2 fx30s or two s5ii for doc work having that other angle is priceless and although having 12,800 second base iso is dope i found that its not needed 85% of the time and when it is i can find a way to add light...

    Great video🙂 Is there a focal reducer for RF 24-70 F/2.8 lens to avoid cropping when using it with C70? I currently have Canon R6 with RF 24-70, thinking of replacing it with C70 but don't like the idea of 1.5 crop of the image.

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately there's not, the rf 24-70 would be more like a 36-105

    How’s the autofocus when recording sports on the c70?

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is pretty good depending on the sports, but I tend to use manual focus for all sports except basektball.

    What frame rate do you use when recording sports? Thanks!

      60fps normally, sometimes 24

    Surprised you're having AF issues. Have you done the latest firmware. The only time I've had focus issues was if I had vey shallow DOF in a not so great lighting shot. Bump the Fstop a bit and it's fine.

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I wouldn't say its a huge issue, mostly when filming basketball in dark gyms with a shallow depth of field. Definitely going to try the new firmware, thanks!

    Wow, 16 stops of dynamic range? This is actually RED territory, but with a true run-and-gun camera. How do you like it vs. RED/Arri, specially its dynamic range? And is its autofocus as good as Sony?

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t used red or ARRI honestly but the dynamic range has been amazing for me. And it’s autofocus isn’t amazing but I mostly do manual focus so it’s not that big of an issue for me

    Nowdays CF Type B are cheaper than a SD v90…

    • @tuzuharurakutu
      @tuzuharurakutu ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True that. Plus type B is a lot faster and less prone to overheating. They're one of the best investments we can make now as more and more manufacturers adopts them as the media of choice, especially if the camera does ProRes and/or RAW internally (XH2S, Komodo X, Z8, Z9, R5C,...) The only manufacturers not concerned is Sony, with their proprietary Type A cards, with no ProRes or RAW capabilities (why are they so popular is a mystery to me)

    Can anyone answer how the extended nd (8/10stops) looks? Is it useful or is there bad colour shift etc. Thoughts.

  • @csamd9049

    For sports, this camera is not suitable at all. It was necessary to take an ordinary video camera with a small video sensor and built-in optics, it would be much better.

    • @thebobbymedia
      @thebobbymedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting, maybe it depends on how you are shooting sports. I’m focusing on recaps and social media content as opposed to broadcasting. The c70 has been great for that so far

    • @csamd9049
      @csamd9049 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thebobbymedia for video in the mode of cutting fragments, of course, it will cope, but still the result will be worse than on cameras that are designed for broadcasts.
