- Bushbaby Sounds at night in the African bush. The distinctive calls of a Thick-tailed Bush Baby (aka Brown Greater Galago/Otolemur crassicaudatus) sound somewhat like a baby crying, hence the common name. The sounds of this species are quite different to the smaller Lesser Bushbaby which mostly makes simpler clucks, squeaks and mewing calls.
The bushbaby sounds in this video were recorded in Kafue National Park, Zambia. More examples of wildlife sounds and bird calls can be found on my website wildambience.com/wildlife-sou...

With those calls, it's no wonder they call them bush babies.
Cute little animal with scarrry call :-/
Here in central Europe, there is a small owl with similar scarrrry voice.. :-o
I always wondered the English name. There was a mini forest where I lived in Ghana and we used to hear their calls late at night. In my dialect we call them *Ɔwea*
Heard this on safari at night, absolutely terrifying. Sounded like a woman being murdered. Very comforting when you’re in a tent.
