- I've seen some crazy powerskid action in my time but this Torana takes the cake. With a big hit of nitrous and a heavy right foot this guy smokes the full length of the track in and aesome display of skill and power.
If you've got a better powerskid then send me a video response.

hell yeah, that IS the best power skid I've ever seen.
this skid is still one of my favorites, it certainly deserves the title "best powerskid"

@xXxdaguitarfreakxXx I know, but swerving makes it easier to keep the wheels spinning, becomes mre liek drifting. But like I said, still awesome.
@OlsVicDash they are both very similar. drifting is about aproach and angle basiclly the same as the powerskid except the angle is very minor and to measure distance. drifting is to connect the slide
Powerskid - go look it up. It's a competition held at Powercruise events. Burnouts are a different competition.
@MrPig208 yeh you put a camera in the car that year. awesome footage from that angle. you guys sent me a copy of it thanks heaps for that. when my wife watched it she said that she would never get in it with me again at the track lol....

yeah the real difference was the sound of Victors engine, the blower whine just added so much ....plus the video was filmed up much closer so it caught the sound a lot more,,
plussss back then if you had a blown motor with 700 hp it was massive, now 700hp is the starter kit.
From memory Victors did smoke up a lot quicker, it would be similar but I think his wall of smoke was more instant.
The tire industry loves this kind of stuff.

thanks to everyone who likes or hates this car. I enjoy thrashing the shit out of my car and having fun with it. the poor old motor finally gave up during a burnout comp after 8 years of this kind of punishment.

Now thats what im talking about, even with one arm out the window its under control. They turn, brake steer, and dont handle like a boat. Know wonder they done so well at bathurst. Why would you even consider a ford lol. Actuaually the best ford ive seen lately had a twin turbo lexus in it. Smart man, he seen the light.

@Yutubetopteensingers I know the video you're talking about, it's a classic but Victor did his burnout in what was bascially a side street, this is on a wide racetrack so in perspective they look totally different. Put this car in the same situation as victors and it would look just as impressive.

now that i think about it, if we were man enough to do these kind of competitions in america, we would have to create a new term for it. about the most we can do is a stand still burnout while an official has a string tied to ur wrist so he can call it off when he wants. aint no way in hell we would have this kind of badassery going on over here
But how do you know the wheels are losing traction the entire time? Smoke dos follow the car and can take some time to dissapear...just wondered.

@isaiah213 me and a mate built this engine in my garage, apm (advanced performance machining) did the machine work. All up this engine owed me $4500. Its a standard stroke 308 VN heads harrop manifold and an 850 holley. It made 316hp natural and 449hp with a 150 shot of gas.
Wish I had more car events in my country :(

only thing missing was a great sound, even though it was V8 it didnt sound that awesome. If you could ever find a video of the street machine Nationals held in Canberra before the first Summernats Victor Bray does a power burnout with his street race 57 Chev which youd love. Not as long as this but a lot more smoke from the start..
