    Hi Mikey, here is something that was told to me, perhaps you’ve heard it also; on an airplane, they specifically tell you to put on YOUR oxygen mask first. You can’t help anyone if you can’t breathe.
    Please keep your oxygen mask on. Once you can breathe, then take steps to help others.

    Caffeine withdrawal is just that, withdrawal. It can cause a person to get headaches, be exceptionally tired, and can actually create emotional distress and physical ailments. It will pass, but you literally are de-toxing.

      Coffee if you are ADHD person will put you to sleep from some reason Tea does not do it!. When my kids was young I was drinking over a gallon of tea a day! Now I don’t drank any tea! I have never likes Coffee at all!

      This is absolutely true! I run off caffeine daily… must have coffee first thing in the morning and then caffeinated drinks throughout the day. I feel terrible and don’t function well without caffeine. Try decreasing your caffeine intake a little each week. I’m on this journey with you, love. You Are Not Alone! ❤❤❤❤

      I stopped drinking coffee 3 years ago along with sugar, I feel so much better it’s amazing how much caffeine and sugar affect your body. My chronic pain levels are so much lower.

    My nursing background taught me when making medication changes or additions not to make any other changes in your life that way any side effects or issues can be directly attributed to the one change 😊

    I wish it was illegal in the US to have drug/medicine commercials - they are on all the time. I have ADHD and coffee does not keep me awake. I did hear there was more caffeine in tea. Earl Grey tea is very nice if you want to give it a try. If you don't want caffeine, Sleepytime Tea is very nice. I think you are brave sharing your story. 💕 You are so kind hearted and down to earth.

      I am glad they have drugs/medicine commercials on TV. I am on one of them and I told my doctor about it. It saved my life. And other peoples lives.

      I agree, I think the overload of drug commercials can harm. Also, “Hi!” fellow ADHD-er! I can have one cup of coffee in the morning to “get normal” but anything beyond that is a gamble and I’m probably wanting a nap! 🤣

      I'm glad there are commercials for the different medications but wish there was a limit to how many are allowed per hour or something like that.

    Actually, typically coffee has twice the amount of tea, but of course it depends on what tea and what coffee you're comparing. Either way, the body actually treats them differently with the spike from tea lasting a much longer time, where the spike from coffee tends to be bigger initially but makes you crash quickly as well. But like your friend said, it affects people differently, so what matters for you is that your body isn't reacting well to the coffee. Glad you figured it out and that you're being harassed less. Big hugs, and we're all pulling for you.

      Yeah, it's a crash you are experiencing from just drinking one cup of coffee which has the stronger caffeine levels. Whereas with the tea you are ingesting smaller amounts of caffeine over longer periods of time and the caffeine crash is not as noticeable.

      Tea also contains large amounts of a relaxing and stimulating amino acid called L-theanine

    I love your honesty. I have C-PTSD and have spent far too many years pretending that my life is peachy. With the help of an awesome doctor and an equally wonderful clinical therapist I learned to not only find my voice , but to use it. The trauma will never go away but learning to refocus the darkness has made my life so much better. Crochet has been extremely therapeutic in that counting stitches and concentration required can literally stop a panic attack. You have been a huge part of my healing and I wish you the inner peace you so deserve. Sending kind thoughts from sunny Quebec

    Caffeine withdrawl is a real thing! Had to go to decaf coffee and decaf teas. If you want to get away from the Caffeine so you don't get your withdrawals. Add slowly a decaf tea. You can do 1/2 and half Caffeine. But that up to you and your physician. Sorry you are still in distress. Hope the meds give you relief soon. I completely understand and sending hugs to you and a cozy, fuzzy blanket! ❤❤❤

    I'm glad to hear you are figuring things out. Yes, caffeine withdrawal is a real thing. I was drinking Bai drinks, and they have some that are a power boost. So I drank those a lot. Got insomnia and didn't link it to what I was drinking until I figured it out. Now, I try to have a balance with beverages. Creative people are heartfelt people. What i mean is that one cares, and it's hard to deal with nasty people. Creative people want to create beautiful things. ❤

    Mikey, I did some research and apparently coffee has more caffeine, however you were drinking more tea that the little amount of coffee and so were getting more caffeine from the tea. Yes, you can have caffeine withdrawal! Everyone is different and can be affected by the type of caffeine differently. I am glad things are better for you. Please remember when times are hard that you have more 'Friends' out in the Big World than you realize.

      it surely is a beast. some doctors recommend slowly weaning from caffine. any addiction should be done under doctors care and advice.

    Hi Mikey! Ounce per ounce, coffee has more caffeine than tea; but you were drinking a lot more tea than coffee and getting a bigger jolt of caffeine. Caffeine withdrawal is no fun; but if you're drinking less now, you'll be fine soon. Hang in there - a lot of us love you! ❤

      For me, I have cut out most caffeine. When I drink anything with caffeine, I get a headache and feel bad.

      Tea doesn't just have caffeine. It also contains an amino acid called L- theanine that affects the neurotransmitter GABA that affects anxiety.

    Hey there!! I bet everyone is right in that maybe it was the caffeine withdrawal than was messing with you!! Some teas definitely have more caffeine than coffee. It’s crazy how people in this day & age still have a problem with alternative life styles!! I definitely see a change from the last emotional distress video. You seem to be more upbeat. Love it!!     Definitely can be the caffeine withdrawal. My daughter drank a 2 Lt coke every day & wanted to lose weight so she stopped drinking her sugary coke & had terrible throbbing headaches & slept all day & just didn't have her normal get up & go. She felt totally depressed & took everything that everyone said to heart. She started drinking her coke again after 2 weeks. Headaches went away & she was back to her cheerful sweet self once again. So Yes Mickey it can definitely be the change from tea to coffee that has been making the difference in how u feel. Depending on the type of tea ur drinking has a lot more caffeine in it then the coffee plus u were drinking more of the tea than the coffee. So I'd say it has a lot to do with ur sleep & how u feel. Please keep us updated on ur progress. We care for u.

    Dearest Michael, I have been down your road being in the military. It caused me to experience extream anxiety along with trust issues. I served 38 years under these conditions as a high ranking officer. The wonderful people who served with me were very supportive and stood up for me as the Military has a “ Don’t ask, don’t tell policy”. After retirement, I still have flashes of taunting, pranks and hatred that was directed toward me. I know it is extreamly hard to bare these comments that come out of left field at us. Just know we love you and support whatever you have to do to keep yourself physically and mentally healthy. Take all the time you need to become relaxed and that chipper person we all know you are. We will ALL be hear waiting for you! Our Love and support to you always. Dr. Lucinda

    When I drink coffee, I do not add sugar just some milk for a little cream. It took getting used too but I don't even miss the sugar. I rarely use sugar in anything anymore. Life styles. Who cares what others think. You are in a special relationship with a special person. Therefor you are special just like the rest of us. This is your life style and this is you. Hugs.     My dad drank tea for a lot of years and kept getting really bad, horrible kidney stones. Also, I am sorry people are being bullies to you and threatening you. I love your tutorials and your beautiful personality 😊

    I'm so sorry you have had such an awful time recently. I will never understand why people are so cruel. I have suffered from depression for most of my life and have been on multiple different antidepressants for well over 20 years and I understand how hard that part of it is. I will never understand why people think that they have the right to threaten someone due to being different in any way. If the world spread love as fast as hate, we would be so much better off. Love is love. I have many family members and friends that are from what I affectionately refer to as my alphabet community and I love them all and will defend them to my death bed. You inspired me many years ago to learn more crochet and I thank you so much for that! You are loved, please focus on the people that care and try not to feed the trolls, they love to hurt people because they are angry sad souls that are unhappy with their lives.

    Death threats would definitely cause mental distress, which added to withdrawals - caffein, as you mentioned - would certainly magnify your distress. You need to do whatever it takes to take care of yourself, and you were right to take some time off and get the rest you need. Nobody has the right to send death threats to another person. Mikey, you are an amazing crochet instructor. Don't let anyone take that away from you.

My tea from imperial nutrition a place here in the USA is what keeps me going and I definitely have withdrawal and stay in bed without it. The one I get is called sharkbite. Lol love you Mikey.

    I slept for 2 weeks when I quit Pepsi. They sure can mess with us! You are doing great being proactive in finding solutions for yourself!

    Hi Mikey. Glad things are looking better. It very well could've been a combination of things. I've always thought tea had less caffiene so now I'm not sure. I do know that going off of caffiene items can cause issues for a bit until your system gets used to not having it. Hopefully one day people will "grow up".

    I’m like your friend I can drink espresso before bed and sleep fine , but we are all different what works for some doesn’t work for others , the finding out is frustrating but you’ll get there 😊 I’m 68 and I think this is the worst time for ANYONE who is different, there seems so many radicals out there now Stay strong both of you xo

      If you take a stimulant and it brings you down or makes you sleepy I would call your doctor and notify them that is occurring. That usually means your brain needs stimulants to be able to relax and focus. Some people take that feeling as needing to sleep but rather your inner thoughts and connections are going 100mph without your control. In the business we call this ADHD.

    Michael don't ever let anyone tell you that your feelings aren't validated. There are ways to help deal with those, sure. But they are your feelings. I am proud to call you my friend, and proud of you for speaking out. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and find what works best for you. Love ya bud.

    You are right! I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and the withdrawals from sugar are horrible!
