Hey there 👋 please keep making theses videos it’s great to watch and I would love to visit someday! As an undergraduate of snow resort operations at Georgian and a fan of all things hospitality operations your videos help fulfill my desire to work in the industry. Loving your positive vibes of this season! I’ve already been out skiing once and cannot wait for morn terrain to open. 🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️🌨️
Man this brings up childhood memories, when there were lots of these old Doppelmayr T-bars around. Quite some farmers had a lift built on their property back then, and I was born early enough to get to ride them. They've gotten rare, though. My former favourite lift even was driven by a diesel engine, with hydraulic transmission. Love the startup and the running sound these two lifts make, and the support design is pretty rare, too. Makes me happy seeing them running, and you keeping a good eye on them!
Nothing like the satisfying "CHONK" from when the reset button is pressed. And I don't miss those A frame towers! Even our 1978 Doppelmayr thin ass platforms are better than nothing haha. It's cool how the design is pretty much the same on much of it though. They got it right early.
In Poland we had a lots of t-bars which were (I think) inspired by those Doppelmayr's. Unfortunately most of them were replaced by chairlifts. But one of them, produced around 1984 by "coal-mining equipent repairing workshops" is still working. I recorded it some years ago (in april, so the conditions were not too good, but almost nobody on the slope.) th-cam.com/video/tO84h7A_xag/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing the video and it does look inspired by Doppelmayr. The conditions look at lot like what we are dealing with this season. Thanks for watching!
Nothing serious with them as they are very simple machines. Alignment was an issue prior to the audit as all the bushings and pins were very worn out. Since then they have been reliable old machines.

Watched this video so many times 😂😂 t-bars are just my favorite lifts
I gotta say I do find their sounds soothing

Thank you sir, I have a soft spot for the classics. Thankfully there are a ton of these in BC still working away at many of the smaller hills.

I couldn’t believe how well it came apart during the audit. They do know how to make a solid machine but I agree, working off those towers suck.
I absolutely love those old Doppelmayr T-bars. One question: how much kW does the motor have and could you show it as well?

so cool. And the sound on those t-bars are so damn nice. Also are you never going to change the short t-bars to long ones?
That would be quite expensive. Moving forward we will slowly swap out to the new style but just through attrition. They keep working!
@@patricksmotors9070 Love the sound on those lifts so much
You ever had technical issues with these 2 lifts?
