How this motor can be tilted so that the roter will not be in water when in dock?
I have the same engine and it doesn't take rpms so good and quicly. Do you have any tips
Sounds like it might be a carb issue, run some SeaFoam through it and see if that helps. Best of luck!
Hey Patrick! Looking at picking up one of these sleds for ice fishing. I'm 6ft 250lbs. Do you think this sled will be able to move me and my sled full of gear behind it? Thanks!
For you no problem at all as I’m 6’3, 225 and she is comfortable and quick (relatively). I don’t think you’d have issue with a hard pack but if you’re off trail in deeper snow you might have a problem. Great reliable sleds and wish you luck!

They’re such great old cars and it’s good to see quite a few of them still on the road.
Just pulled the same thing on my grandpa’s basement. Gonna try and get it going for my son. Now we have no spark so back to the drawing board

How to check rope / wire integrity, what's rope RCN?
Haul ropes are NDT every 3 years as per regulations. We do a complete visual of the haul rope every summer to look for broken wires and inspect the tucks.

Looks alot like my sled i just picked up a couple days ago ... 1996 JAG -LC 440 Motor . Going thru it now looking at what to repair , tune, tweek and replace .. cant find a manuel any place thou . Any ideas ? Ok thanks for the video and love the vintage sleds 👍🏻

I do not. Was a great motor but we updated to a 20 hp.
So I'm looking to buy a 2001 jeep cherokee XJ for 5000$. It's in absolutely amazing condition and just got safetied. Do I need a appraisal? I'm pretty sure the vehicle is worth more than that cause it's got 150000km on it.
That’s a great deal and those old Cherokees are amazing. You will need an appraisal as it’s over 20 years old. Best of luck!
hey, where is water coming out?
Water comes out small exhaust holes on the leg as a mist. There is no tell tale on this model.

Does this engine come in both long and short shaft
I believe you could get a long shaft but I have never seen one in person.
I have this motor to and she is indeed great... but yeah it's heavy as a sum beach that's for sure. The boat we had it on sunk with the motor on it but still after a few things it somehow runs😂. Only thing that don't work is the electric start
You mention that it is not cheep to replace a bearing, much less one of the sheaves all together. About how much do those parts cost? Are they hard to find at this point?
A complete sheave assembly is over $700 now. All parts are available from Leitner/Poma so availability isn’t an issue. Thanks for watching!

I worked for Doppelmayr in the production line and for me it’s really nice to see how much love and care you still spend to the lift after many years.
They’re like any piece of machinery, you look after them and they’ll look after you ;)
NIce to see someone else enjoying one of the many ontario great lakes. I got my zodiac out right before easter and have gone out on lake ontario a couple times. I'm on a secret assignment in a certain snowmaking related place in Quebec . I didnt bring it with me, but am super eager to get back on the water in a couple weeks when im back.

Just stumbled on our videos, I'm the maintenance foreman at a small ski area where we work lifts, cats, snowmobiles and whatever else they throw at us. Ive got 4 fixed grip lifts, one of which is not used anymore, and a handle tow. I started in 1989 in the retail shop for a couple winters, became a night cleaner for a couple, then 10 as a groomer before moving into the maintenance shop in 2002. Became foreman (hourly, im not management) in 2015. Lifts are a Doppelmayr double installed in 2009, a Doppelmayr triple on Yan standing steel from 2008, a Yan Base 10 double from 1981 and the1972 Hall double thats mothballed. Its only me and 2 other guys taking care of the place so we have our hands full! My channel is mostly car/autocross stuff but i do have a short video of lubing a haul rope posted.
I will have to check that out. It sounds like you keep yourself busy! I love the industry as new two days are alike. I’d love the chance to work on a Yan as I’ve ridden tons but don’t have many here in Ontario. Best of luck this summer and stay safe.
Where is the water intake at on this motor?
Water intake is located just below the cavitation plate. It should be stainless steel and easy to spot.

I hope you did fire the evac engine up later. Unless it isnt a needed safety check to be done daily.
By law the evac must be fired up and checked weekly, and power off engaging the lift line monthly. We do that with our monthly brake checks but we do fire up the evac as part of our morning checks.

Got it from a dealership in Oakville, was formally with Hamilton transit and the conversions were done in Woodstock. It was quite the weapon!
What is the "Resume" button for?
Resume brings the lift back up to its full speed after a slow command.
You don't have a pile of electrical components going back to the resort's founding that's never been organized? We must be doing it wrong.

Similar to your role I am responsible for all mechanical maintenance at a smaller ski hill.
