Dyserth waterfall & floods

After two days of solid rain I thought I would see what Dyserth waterfall looked like. There were floods everywhere and it was impossible to get close to the waterfall.. good old British summertime! (12/06/2019)

Its always been a bad place for flooding, but with more and more development of houses and the like encroaching on the natural flood plain will make the area worse over the years! thanks for the film though, haven't visited the waterfall since about 1978! drive past it on my way back to where I live now, but was always a great haunt for us kids during the 70's

They are just about to start building more houses on the Rhuddlan Rd, the drainage just can’t cope. Thanks for watching. 👍

Did you know that you can get up the other side of the water fall, up the steps behind the ice cream shop , been up and down them many times when I was a kid, because my gran lived at the top of them, brings you out on to Bryn-y-felin. ...

Yes, but during the floods you couldn’t get to the steps, the water was coming out over the road by the ice cream shop. 👍

Hi, thanks for watching. The holiday on the buses scene was shot on the old bridge in Rhuddlan which is a few miles from here. And the camp they stayed at is Pontin’s in Prestatyn which is a couple of miles from where I live. 👍
