    Fantastic transformation .....for those interested....House bought for £190,000, £60,000 over guide price. They spent £37,000 to do the renovation..so total outlay was £227,000. Auctioneer valuation was a rental income of £1000 to £1100 per calendar month. If sold on the open market, the house would achieve somewhere between £260,000 to £270,000. But Colin reckons he could get £280,000.

    So what's the deal with the loud music? You can hardly hear what Lucy has to say. Either do it right or don't do it at all.

    That box room was a mistake,completely pointless. Should've kept it as one or like Lucy said an en suite.

    Much improved for living. Kitchen is the only real thing that stands out as mismatch to the character of the house. This was a investment property and the remodel shows it. Remodel seems made for a general idea of what people want. Clean and spacious. Kitchen was just a let down, should have rounded off the counter tops to match the cabinet shape and gave it a elegant victorian touch.

    Why do people buy Victorian houses and then make them look like Barratt homes?

    I hate when people destroy these characterful Victorian homes with their tacky laminate flooring, white walls and glossy cabinets. “Let’s make the whole downstairs one large room”

      @mlh4711 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      they do that because that's what sells..........that's what people want. Just because you wouldn't want that isn't cause to complain and pick holes.

      M M12345 I agree - it’s one thing to restore and bring back to former glory ; another to strip away all character and charm for blah renovations. Thank God for historic preservation societies. If people want a “modern” look get a modern/ contemporary home or new construction

      I understand what you say they should keep as many features as possible but when these horses were built, people were happy to just have a house, i think because of how small British homes are we deserve to maximise the space we are given because my god our houses are small
