- Charlie was raised by an On Angels' Wings foster, and bottle fed. Now he's attending the Kitten Academy, and his first lessons are in eating on his own, and using the litterbox! He's doing wonderfully.

I think it is more from instinct when they nurse they knead to get the milk flowing, so he is instinctively trying to knead the food.

He's kneading it the way kittens knead on mom to get milk. It's so adorable. He will eventually realize he doesn't need to do that, but he might have the knead and suckle urge for his whole life since he didn't learn to nurse from Arial. Nothing wrong with that, though. Two of mine do it and it melts my heart.

He'll long be remembered as the little kitten who grew with leaps & pounces; Ariel was a super surrogate mom who really helped him become the tremendous kitten he is. God speed little Charlie ~

He's so adorable when he snuggles up to his new mum. No matter how much a human foster mum loves and cares for a kitten, a real furry mother cat has to be better for snuggles and as a pillow. And Ariel clearly likes this odd red headed stepchild.
