Here im brazil it,s extremely hot in this time of the year. We have the winter in july,so it,s basically switched with most of you guys. We rarely have any snow, not that we miss it. But it has always been strange as a kid seeing in the movies people talking about december as a cold time and christmas as a winter related thing. This last christmas, for example,my family had a barbecue with a lot of beer. I don,t know why i am writing this, guess the soothing track made me think about this stuff. There seems to be something magical about snow, probably because it,s so rare where i live,me personally have neve seen it. Things are a little different here in the south, but it,s not all bad. I guess people from the north don,t spend new year,s eve on the beach, right? With all that cold. Anyway,it,s almost dawn here,so o better get to sleep.
@@amandakeys1681 Another Brazilian here. And I second all @Rodrigo said, as well as wanting to say that by "cold" in Brazil we mean like 20 something Celsius, except for the south of Brazil and some rural areas close to it. Plus, I've seen snow few times now while travelling and it's magical every single time. Feliz ano novo pra geral!
This is a cool perspective. Thanks for sharing! For me December has always been synonymous with cold and July has always been synonymous with scorching heat so it's cool to hear from someone whose experiences are the exact opposite!
I wish I could experience this game again for the first time. I got to experience it in a different way helping my wife on her first journey 10 years ago. Maybe I can do the same for our sons in the future.
Now it is snowing outside my window, a strong wind is blowing, and I sit and listen to this music, and all this on the eve of New Year and Christmas. It's magical. All happy holidays and greetings from frozen Russia!
Hello all. I will be transparent. I have had 12 shots at this point. However, i am 26 years old, and i feel older than i could anticipate. I already have gray hairs believe it or not... when i had my first job i came home, put on my bose headphone and just... DELVED into Skyrim. Deleted my real life and just exhausted my being into this game.... this makes me sad, as the more major things in my life that have caused me such stress and emotion, i feel like i didn't put as much time into (i know i did) but i feel like i didn't. Even now.... hear me when i say all of you are individually special. All of you have some longing and hope for what you anticipate and want. Whatever the next day brings, spend your time wisely. Don't fade into the daily struggles of life and work. Remember abd focus on those things most important to you. You have people relying on you, and others on them... stay strong. Nothing will change this world from self destruction, but you, you can redeem yourself and others from out of the drain pipe. Carry on. We're almost there.
@Waifu Fries Ahhh how a year can change. Right now Texas is sitting on a ton of snow, pipes bursting, no electricity, and declaring a state of emergency due to the cold. People are dying in their beds it's so cold in spots. Careful what ya wish for.
This game is a work of art. It is going to turn ten year old this November of 2021, and it is still a masterpiece and one of the greatest experiences in gaming ever produced. A time when big budget games actually delivered on the hype and more. Such a wonderful time. I still remember being in 8th grade and coming home to play this for the first time on a Friday, only to get so lost in the game that the first time I even checked the time it was 4am.
I still play this in 2021. I have heavily modded it to look achingly beautiful with high resolution textures, 3D model enhancements and better lighting, weather, water, snow, etc. The towns are expanded and it is like a new game I can't let go. No need to change the soundtrack. It is perfect.
@@aguilpa1 Honestly, yeah. It changed how I game, nowadays I get a new game, play a few days until I’m bored of it, and just play Skyrim until another new game comes out.
I played a LOT of The Legend of Zelda as a kid and this takes me back to that in some ways. I don't have much time for games but like the feel of Elder Scrolls and hope to be able to play it at some point.
If you've only got a bit of time here and there, get Skyrim. By far one of the most amazing games I've ever played. Different mechanics than Zelda, but the plot, the visuals, and the soundtrack are so easy to get lost in. ESO doesn't have the same feel, and I'm not sure why. Too frenetic maybe and there's something to the design that isn't as crisp as Skyrim. Visually, Skyrim knocks it out of the park and you really feel like you're there.
I got the platinum trophy in Skyrim last year some time. It was kind of bitter sweet as I knew when I logged off, I would not be logging back on. I left my character in his Lakeside Manor surrounded by his family. Thousands and thousands of hours in that game from when I was 12 years old to when I was 22 and moved out of home, out of state. What an experience. I wish I could go back.
I don't mean to sound like a weirdo, but this music has become an important part of my life. I meditate to it, sleep to it, and sometimes just have it playing in the background as I do my work. I am so, so grateful of your talent. It has touched my life in a way nothing has before. Thank you so much. From my heart to yours.
It's games like this that are more than just an escape from reality. Skyrim is an experience I'm more than happy to have spent hundreds of hours playing.
This soundtrack from Jeremy Soule is a sprawling masterpiece. Even the ambient background music is memorable. It's a real shame he won't be composing TES VI. The starfield soundtrack didn't even approach this level of greatness.
I actually still play on my first ever account, she's a cat (I forgot how to spell the race but she's the cat people) her name is cheebah and I started playing with her again a month ago. I made the account when I was 9 or 10.
What always struck me about this game was how it was able to induce a sense of awe. I remember going through some snowy foothills at night and hearing "Distant Horizons" start playing - and just being struck at how beautiful it all was, how perfect. They really knew how to combine the visual and auditory in this game to make something far greater than the sum of its parts.
Journey's End describes the song so well. it's like...movie is ending, credits rolling, everything turned out good in the end. The adventurer is still walking down the path and into the sunset and will have further adventures, but they will prevail! There's a reason Tundra so often comes before it in soundtrack, the saddest song ever made followed by the most saving song ever made.
I'll go through a year or two without touching this old game, and then I'll be seized with such passion for a time it's almost as if Talos himself had come down to bless me. That's how, after all these years, each time I play it feels a bit like the first.
Ah back when every drug was a scary encounter back when every npc was something new to experience back when Alduin was sending shivers down my spine. What a time it was... Back in the days whitch only live in our memories.
I played fallout in high school and never Skyrim. I’m grateful I get to experience Skyrim for the first time even over a decade later. It’s magical and peaceful escapism and a beautiful world
I was the exact opposite! I played Skyrim in high school, but never tried Fallout until the pandemic. They are my top two favorite games that I've ever personally experienced and I go back to them both all the time.
Wish I could go back in time ...I played hours and hours sometimes I just let it how it is and just watched the screen took my tea and enjoyed it...I miss those times so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Long ago, the year was 2011. Month of November. A boy soon to be man- raised money from selling a cow at a nearby market to help feed his family. On his way home, he was stopped by a wizard- “Care to buy some magic beans boy?” “I wish I could sir, but this is for my family” replied the boy. “But these will grow tall and make you rich beyond your wildest dreams...” “Sadly I cannot.” The boy shook his head. He continued home and on his way- noticed a store with a large poster saying... Elder Scrolls: Skyrim The boy rushed in and told the man working the counter, “Take my money.” ... this is my story.
LOTR was incredible for its time, and the constructed authenticity of the world remains unmatched, but TES universe has a lot more depth to it, owing to the fact that it was created by a whole studio of writers and artists.
Playing this on XBOX was amazing, playing this on VR was one of the best gaming experiences ever. I logged so many hours, just sitting on a mountain and soaking it all in.
You don't know how much this helped me, I've been struggling to fall asleep lately and every time I listen to this, a wave of calmness takes over me and I sleep almost immediately.
I'll never forget my first frost dragon. It was the first time I'd climbed the 7000 steps, I was admiring the view from so high upon the mountain when a shadow passed over me. I was already a decent archer at that point so the dragon was more a fun surprise than anything else, especially since the troll a few turns later absolutely rocked me. Ever since then I've never seen another dragon on that mountain pass but I'm always looking for that shadow.
so am i the only guy who always go from one point to other just walking? i never teleport or use carriages, just my feets or a horse, just to keep the game immersive and have more adventures in my way to the place i want to reach, i can tell the game tastes so much better when you do it that way but, indeed, to complete a simple mission i could spend easily 2 hours, but i feel that is the way to really feel the The Elder Scrolls V vibes, taking a loooong walk from the warm tavern to get involve in a trip to reach the other side of the map and founding enemies and people with their problems during the process, it is the perfect experience!
Oww the good old days, when this epic game came out. On friday sometimes I would grab a beer, turn the ps3 on and just climb a mountain to see the Aurora Borealis. ONE OF THE BEST GAMES OF ALL TIME. There is a reason people still play this game in 2023, because is godaamm AMAZING!
Listening to this as I’m creating my fantasy world/book. I didn’t realize how great this music actually is because I’d be so immersed in the game itself. We were definitely spoiled with the elder scrolls games and world. There is a reason Skyrim has been released 1000 times it’s because it’s more then a video game it’s a true work of art.
What I would give to play this game again for the first time.. it wrenches my soul to think. Me sitting in my chair.. In the quiet early winter morning and play this game for hours, my hot coffee and tranquility.. Like, literally the world didn't exist... That's why I always come back here. To relive the memories. It warms my soul. Every time!! The last piece of real peace I ever truly experienced.

I’m an author, and I usually write in a somewhat noisy cafe. Recently, I began listening to background music to help block out the noise so I can focus. It helps tremendously. Thank you so much!
I usually come to this music alone in my dark room at night and let waves of a off-putting yet peaceful nostalgia take me. I read the comments and it feels like we all take a trip back to a former self
Thank you so much for helping me get through all my papers I'm writing for my psychology degree. Your music is way better than banging my head against a wall!
I've never played the game. But I'm impressed by the quality of this soundtrack, some musical phrases would deserve to become a symphony ... it is so inspired !

Back in the day, I used to leave the game running while I read or studied, because the ambient music and sounds and art were so beautiful and relaxing. Thank you for sharing this.
Ambient Worlds, you hands down have the best mixes. I currently alternate between this, Elder Scrolls Peaceful Night Sky, The Witcher Peaceful Night and various Narnias every night to relax but I love them all. Thank you so much for everything you do.
Nothing beats the first play through, where everything is new. So much unknown, and mystery ahead. Each encounter being more interesting and intense than the last. But man, my modded playthrough built for survival gameplay on legendary difficulty really made traversing the open icy tundra a mission. Chopping wood, bringing the right clothing, stocking up on torches and alcohol to fight off the freezing winds, and charting my course strategically from alcove to alcove to survive the cold added a layer to the game that was so immersive. Hunting for pelts, and having to skin the animals, needing to eat and drink. It really felt like I was surviving in the world not just playing. Combat mods that add crippling effects to limbs and other hard mechanics made every fight difficult and forced me to actually think on my toes. Best game of all time. Just roaming the landscape with the beautiful music in the background is amazing.

How i encounter that rat of a troll on my way to the greybeards, how i just found a home in whiterun, how i discovered that i can do anything at any time in the game, how i found the college of winterhold without knowing that it´s there, how i discovered so many dark secrets of skyrim. How i discovered the Dwemer ruins for the first time, and thought OMG How i got the Dawnbreaker( dont knoe ehy this is os persistent in my mind...) MAN! This Music is giving me more than JOY! This music is giving me memories that were long forgotten. Jesus please let me enjoy this masterpiece of a game once more. It felt like i was the adventurer himself. I feel like I should list some happy memories of Skyrim Booting it up for the first time excited to play this new game I found at GameStop (getting new games back then was always so exciting ) Seeing how big the world was Learning how I could do anything Finding new stuff (I didn’t have the internet for a while so everything in Skyrim I found myself) Telling my mom and dad about all new stuff I found Talking to my dad about Skyrim after he got off work and he’d always fall asleep after awhile but never seemed bored Waking up early to play Skyrim and staying up late or not sleeping just to play Skyrim even when I wasn’t supposed to My dad catching me and instead of grounding me he’d just say "so what did you find?” Waking up one morning and seeing my dad playing a character he made (a conjuration warrior with heavy armor and a bound battle axe) My mom actually liking Skyrim (she didn’t like any games but something about Skyrim was different) And now 10 years later (as of now ) I’m still playing Skyrim and I hope one day I have a little Dragonborn of my own who will make memories with Skyrim And if my kid somehow sees this How are you my little Dragonborn? Come sit by the fire and tell me your happy memories and tell me if you made a new character I want all the details And if I’m dead when you see this just know that I love you and I’m still with you in everything you do if you play Skyrim I’m right there with you watching you find new things or do a goofy run with some crazy build like a character that can somehow kill a dragon with one hit of a fork Hopefully you can bond with other Skyrim players maybe even people in this commit section I love you my little Dragonborn
Strange how we never notice the blissfull, calm, relaxing and beautiful music of skirim. The only time we need to notice them is when we are having a bad day, and can't sleep. Only to then feel like we had to give the game more credit for what it has to offer... And only then can feel the music.
Nostalgia is such a weird thing, its like a perfection of balance, its sad and happiness and the same time, something you look back to and smile but sad wishing to relive those moments, I always remember watching my brother play skyrim and of course always enjoyed playing it myself, but i was always so happy to watch my brother play, but now as we both grew older, thankfully i can always still watch him play other games but those memories will forever be in my heart.
Remembering when it was winter outside of our house, I had nothing to do, just sit on my chair playing Skyrim. Fire cracled in the stove. I looked out my window and everything was covered by snow. It was early noon but it already started to darken. Everything was grey and lifeless. Frozen tree branches staring at the clouded sky. Snow sifted slowly on the fence. My environmet and Skyrim matched so much. Good old memories...

Wanna know something funny? For my Spotify thingy for 2023, Jeremy Soule was my number 2 artist. I would fall asleep to the Skyrim album and throw it on repeat. It wild to fall asleep to one song listening to it fade out only to wake up to it in the morning at the very beginning, only to start again.

One of the few soundtracks that completely immerses me in the game, like I'm watching a movie and I forget that what I'm watching isn't real. One of my favorite games of all time. Started playing this when I was 11, adding to the immersion since my imagination was so vivid and I could completely delve into the game. I remember actually being terrified of the draugr. I think back to that and think how silly I was, but I also lament my loss of innocence that led me to growing up and losing the sense of wonder I had. This soundtrack, no matter how many times I may hear it, brings me back. I just hope TES VI can replicate the feeling I once had for a new generation
Love this! I listen to your videos every night, and I also play them for ambience in my D&D sessions, they really get my players in the mood. Could you do a Lake Town video from The Hobbit? I really like the feel of it in the movies and I’m lacking in water esc ambience for my campaigns
I played Skyrim for the first time back in 2017 when I was 15 and it was the first game I'd ever played that was more intense than the Sims 3 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I loved every second of it, I'd spend hours every night getting lost in the world until the early hours of the day. It was a kind of escape from the real world, like the books I read as a kid like Eragon and such. This is a cool perspective. Thanks for sharing! For me December has always been synonymous with cold and July has always been synonymous with scorching heat so it's cool to hear from someone whose experiences are the exact opposite!
It was 40 degrees Celsius for me on Christmas Day..:)
New Year's Eve on the beach. Damn - that sounds amazing! I hope you had an amazing time!
I wish I could experience this game again for the first time. I got to experience it in a different way helping my wife on her first journey 10 years ago. Maybe I can do the same for our sons in the future.
So peaceful this music is awe....

Now it is snowing outside my window, a strong wind is blowing, and I sit and listen to this music, and all this on the eve of New Year and Christmas. It's magical. All happy holidays and greetings from frozen Russia!
Oooh, I should play this coming December. I'm from Alaska, so it'll probably be a similar magical experience
greetings fargoth :)

@@prosperstarling3513 I forgot about this, but thank you bc now I'll put this on tonight :D
One year later, I wonder if you are doing the same thing? Merry Christmas 🎄
17:23 right in the high school nostalgia when nothing mattered, I wish I was a kid again lol
In order for this to be accurate to my own experience, somewhere in the middle when you finally feel calm, there should be a bear noise at 1000dB
I heard it in my head just now.
It's nice to put these on the tv cause we never get snow. This will be perfect!
I agree! It's nice to be able to watch these here in Texas.
I can share the canadian's snow if you want! At this time of the year, only people who do winter sports like snow, haha
We just got a foot overnight...Would be glad to share....lol
I remember that too. :)
@@aguilpa1 Honestly, yeah. It changed how I game, nowadays I get a new game, play a few days until I’m bored of it, and just play Skyrim until another new game comes out.
I will continue playing this game until age makes me unable to play.
If the next elder scrolls is a disappointment, then at least Skyrim still exists.
Happy 11th anniversary
I played a LOT of The Legend of Zelda as a kid and this takes me back to that in some ways. I don't have much time for games but like the feel of Elder Scrolls and hope to be able to play it at some point.
I'm not going to sit here and try and "force or guilt" you into playing it. All I'm going to say is when do play it. You won't regret it.
TES IV: Oblivion is a masterpiece in "feeling".
Same, playing Skyrim gives off a similar vibe in some ways
If you've only got a bit of time here and there, get Skyrim. By far one of the most amazing games I've ever played. Different mechanics than Zelda, but the plot, the visuals, and the soundtrack are so easy to get lost in. ESO doesn't have the same feel, and I'm not sure why. Too frenetic maybe and there's something to the design that isn't as crisp as Skyrim. Visually, Skyrim knocks it out of the park and you really feel like you're there.
Dont worry, The Elder Scrolls are games that taste better if you dont finish them on a whim. Take your time and enjoy it!
I feel the same way! When I want feel good and warm inside, I listen to the Great Hall one from this channel. Totally recommend it!
Same here. I fell asleep to this playing so many times. Also waking to a loud bear growl and a vibrating controller occasionally.

Just started playing a month ago. Son turned me on to it. Unreal. Cannot wait to get home every day and explore new worlds.
i might have read that wrong
One of those games that had that immersive, emotional bond where you would lose yourself for hours on end in Tamriel.
I'll never forget this time in Skyrim.
I lived in Skyrim and it was cool.
I am playing Skyrim since 11.11.2011 until today, and this I do on a daily basis, because I feel at home there.
Are these gorgeous winter scenes from the game?
yes!
Jennifer Brewer yes they are! Had a blast finding great shots to film
There's a piece of my heart in this game ❤ Thanks for this 🤘
yep!
The crackling fire leaves my Nord ears wanting the sounds of Nord drums playing, preferably with some spiced mead and salted horker.
i read horker as honker and i got a bit worried-
Skal!
Yes! I have definitely teared up more than once at the sheer beauty in this game. It's such an experience.
I become one with the game❤
17:23 just really hit me in the feels man...
It's so good!! Does anyone know the name of that piece/section?
@@briannewton5074 its called “Journey’s end”

Journey's End describes the song so well. it's like...movie is ending, credits rolling, everything turned out good in the end. The adventurer is still walking down the path and into the sunset and will have further adventures, but they will prevail! There's a reason Tundra so often comes before it in soundtrack, the saddest song ever made followed by the most saving song ever made.
I've never played Skyrim but listening this made me feel lile I played it years and years ago...

I moved to a place that looks like Skyrim and I can watch Northern Lights while listening to this music. Elder Scrolls shaped my life forever.

I cannot believe it's been 12 years since I began playing Skyrim. Now I have Skyrim VR, and it feels like a new game again. ❤️
I have C-PTSD. This helps lots. Thank you
Wish I could go back in time ...I played hours and hours sometimes I just let it how it is and just watched the screen took my tea and enjoyed it...I miss those times so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Long ago, the year was 2011. Month of November.
A boy soon to be man- raised money from selling a cow at a nearby market to help feed his family.
On his way home, he was stopped by a wizard-
“Care to buy some magic beans boy?”
“I wish I could sir, but this is for my family” replied the boy.
“But these will grow tall and make you rich beyond your wildest dreams...”
“Sadly I cannot.” The boy shook his head.
He continued home and on his way- noticed a store with a large poster saying...
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
The boy rushed in and told the man working the counter, “Take my money.”
... this is my story.
Makes me want to jump back into playing Skyrim! Beautiful game
This is what my essence looks and sounds like. Thanks to everyone involved in making this a reality
I put my hands near the screen and I swear I can feel the heat from that fire.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Listening to this feels like coming home.
I took a break from writing to read these comments. I listen to this and many other things similar while I write, but this and the scenes oh my! I love it!. I truly am grateful to read all of your comments and stories. It brings me so much joy!
I’m an author, and I usually write in a somewhat noisy cafe. Recently, I began listening to background music to help block out the noise so I can focus. It helps tremendously. Thank you so much!
skyrim soundtracks would always touch my heart to the deep down. i even tear up a little. this is undescribably beautiful.
I usually come to this music alone in my dark room at night and let waves of a off-putting yet peaceful nostalgia take me. I read the comments and it feels like we all take a trip back to a former self
this music makes me feel like i am a small unicorn on the sunny meadow
Thank you so much for helping me get through all my papers I'm writing for my psychology degree. Your music is way better than banging my head against a wall!
Without these compilations of the Skyrim soundtrack, I wouldn't be able to focus on my master's program homework.
I've never played the game. But I'm impressed by the quality of this soundtrack, some musical phrases would deserve to become a symphony ... it is so inspired !
You should play it. Just read the comments to find out why. It touches your life like other game ever could.
Fantastic ambient for relaxing, study or any art activity.
this video makes me feel like being home in north Norway. I remember playing this a few years ago, and even though im pretty used to high mountains, winter storms and northern lights, this game is still breathtaking

Just roaming the landscape with the beautiful music in the background is amazing.
i may be a little late but:
You saying: "if the video gives you joy"....
man, the video/especially the music is giving me more than joy!
Jesus, it is giving me a ton of mixed feelings...
How i encounter that rat of a troll on my way to the greybeards,
how i just found a home in whiterun,
how i discovered that i can do anything at any time in the game,
how i found the college of winterhold without knowing that it´s there,
how i discovered so many dark secrets of skyrim.
How i discovered the Dwemer ruins for the first time, and thought OMG
How i got the Dawnbreaker( dont knoe ehy this is os persistent in my mind...)
MAN! This Music is giving me more than JOY!
This music is giving me memories that were long forgotten.

I feel like I should list some happy memories of Skyrim
Booting it up for the first time excited to play this new game I found at GameStop (getting new games back then was always so exciting )
Seeing how big the world was
Learning how I could do anything
Finding new stuff (I didn’t have the internet for a while so everything in Skyrim I found myself)
Telling my mom and dad about all new stuff I found
Talking to my dad about Skyrim after he got off work and he’d always fall asleep after awhile but never seemed bored
Waking up early to play Skyrim and staying up late or not sleeping just to play Skyrim even when I wasn’t supposed to
My dad catching me and instead of grounding me he’d just say "so what did you find?”
Waking up one morning and seeing my dad playing a character he made (a conjuration warrior with heavy armor and a bound battle axe)
My mom actually liking Skyrim (she didn’t like any games but something about Skyrim was different)
And now 10 years later (as of now ) I’m still playing Skyrim and I hope one day I have a little Dragonborn of my own who will make memories with Skyrim
And if my kid somehow sees this
How are you my little Dragonborn? Come sit by the fire and tell me your happy memories and tell me if you made a new character I want all the details
And if I’m dead when you see this just know that I love you and I’m still with you in everything you do if you play Skyrim I’m right there with you watching you find new things or do a goofy run with some crazy build like a character that can somehow kill a dragon with one hit of a fork
Hopefully you can bond with other Skyrim players maybe even people in this commit section
I love you my little Dragonborn
I really love the strings and voices in this one. It’s very atmospheric.
Love love LOVE Skyrim in-game views, Jeremy Soule's soundtrack, snow in general, and this video!
Thanks. Skyrim is my all time favorite games . So I very much appreciate this along with the cinematic in the back ground AWESOME 👏 THANK YOU 🙏
Remembering when it was winter outside of our house, I had nothing to do, just sit on my chair playing Skyrim.
I wish I was a gamer, just to play Skyrim.. I use to watch my daughter play it as I painted..I enjoyed the music mostly...now I have it once again :) Thank you, Beautiful.

This Skyrim soundtrack by Jeremy Soule, and Inon Zur's soundtrack to Fallout 4 are both stunning...
I listen to this while walking in the snow here in Canada. it adds to the immersion.
Thank you. Your channel has changed my life. I’ve tried so many different ways to relive stress and anxiety. So many white noise sounds SO MANY THINGS. You not only improved my sleep but you also helped the ringing in my ears when it’s quite. Thank you so much for doing this, making videos for us. -Sophia from Florida.
I have tinitis also, sleep with a gan and a thunderstorm CD playing. These sound tracks are so very calming also.
Very relaxing and brings back so many memories. I feel refreshed, like I never took that arrow in the knee!
Four years later I still play it; it's one of my favorite games and I wish I could go back and play it for the first time again. It's full of such calming music, Jeremy Soule did an amazing job. Thanks for the great video, even if I'm a bit late.
I play a lot of MMO's over the years and every time when i'm in a farming / grinding mode? Then i have this music on the background.
So many good memories of Skyrim. To be honest? Skyrim has the best background of all games. Thank you for uploading this epic gem.
