I was ready to go to sleep with this music, but I realised that I need to play Skyrim.

I used to be a listener like you, but this music hit me like an arrow to the knee.

Never figured out what it was.
Maybe the tens of thousands of miles I’ve walked with hundreds of kilograms of dragon bones and steel armpit stripped from my enemies cold bodies?
Maybe my vampirism or the fact that my character hasn’t slept for 14 years?
Maybe the fact that I’ve chugged so many bottles of minor healing or ate every ingredient I’ve ever collected for the past 7 hours?
Maybe it’s that I’ve eaten about 100 kilos of raw meat that I stole from every kitchen and every store room in all of Tamriel?
Maybe it’s the poison from the 40 thousand frostbite spiders or the bone chilling cold of hundreds of ice wraiths.
Could it be that I’ve been sent to the moon by a giant 10000 times? Or that I’ve been crushed and smashed by hundreds of mammoths and ice trolls.
Could be the wounds from killing the king of dragons? Slaying a dragonborn? Defeating the leader of the vampires or collecting every dark prince’s legendary mask?
Possibly the millions of hours spent sitting in one position just to get into a general store. Or the diseases from every sleeved I’ve slain or the ratway sewers I’ve swam in.
Or it could just be that they’re trying to sell me their potions.
I also have a drinking problem... chugging multiple bottles most fights.

Gosh, it hurts thinking of all the memories you have while playing the game, when you shared your stories with your dragonborn friends. And now you don't have the same feeling while playing, as if your story is finished and you finally went to Sovengard to rest. However, your legend stay on skyrim and will be read, listened, sung.

Man, i know what you mean. What i did to get the same feeling back is to download loads of good mods and don't play the main storyline, but everything around it. and try a new build.

It the same thing for me man...
yeah true ik what you mean, but lately, i honestly felt like Solstheim became my home once i traveled there by ship and met many of the awesome Dunmer (but some weird and eccentric like Neloth, and some sad like the Raven Rock beggars) and Nordic people there, especially the Skaal village Nordic people, they're just peaceful, monotheistic, and different from the Skyrim Nords. i even married Morwen there and started to live with her at her house, it just honestly to me feels like a really nice place to get away from Skyrim and it's troubles, at least for a while.
Everytime I hear Skyrim music and ambience it makes me miss something dear in my heart...It makes me miss home..and its so crazy how a game like this can make me feel like this. I am home. I work, go to school, go back home to my family...but nothing comes close to the feelings when I play Skyrim. Its so weird...Maybe I miss the freedom...Maybe my heart desires to travel. I always come back to playing Skyrim.
My favorite part was the peaceful campsite scene with the Skyrim music playing over relaxing ambient sounds!!!

They're probably jealous of this channel and this video because when you think about it he's just putting together music (which isn't his) and visuals (which aren't his either) and he's making money off it. Man i love this game. Almost 8 years later and i still love it.
In this time of need, this is highly appreciated, good lady, good lord. The ambient sounds and the sweet entwining of the songs help a lot.
When I play, and it's not as often as I would like, I never fast travel. I take time to walk every where, staying at inns when the evening draws in, but making sure myself and my trusted followers are back on the road 'ere the sun rises.
Jeremy Soule is a genius when it comes to making music. It always fits the game so well.

I only just started playing this game yesterday. Of course, I then spent a full 10 hour day playing the game. It has been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a game this much, and the music is one of the best parts. However, while I was lying in bed, alone, with no sound except my fan, I swear to Christ I could hear this ambient music. I decided to look it up and found this video.

I'm a huge fan of movie and video game soundtracks, so I know my stuff. I'd heard some Skyrim stuff before and liked it, but I've never played Skyrim. Listening to this I had to Shazam to figure out specifically what songs I was listening to....I truly think The Streets of Whiterun is the most beautiful song I've ever heard.
