Tattoos brings tears to my eyes every time. It's so deep and amazing.
The first song I ever heard by this band was “I hate myself” and I decided to look for a song that I could relate to, so I searched those words on my Apple Music, and found Citizen Soldier. Today, I know 50 songs by them and I love them all.
"Would Anyone Care" was the song that introduced me to Citizen Soldier, and it is the band's most popular song! That is my second-best Citizen Soldier song with "Let It Burn" as the greatest before it (the top best Citizen Soldier song - it's my personal preference). The best band of all time, literally, period!
Reaction to “would anyone care” coming very soon. I reacted to that one first actually, but released this video prior because it was a fresh release of theirs.
This band saved me so much but my parents are like they arent doing u any good, so when i started writing my own poetry/lyrics... I showed some to my teacher and every since then he checks up on me daily cause he knows how much pain im in but everyone says stop being so sensitive. And when I heard Would Anyone Care for the first time I cried for 30 minutes out of sheer pain...
I hear them play you are enough. I cry. The universe lead me to them. I was stuggle with being enough at the time.

First time I heard them it was stronger than my storm and I fell in love with the band. It felt like he was talking to me and their music has saved me on multiple occasions. On my bad days with my ptsd I listen to them and it calms me down. I absolutely love them.
As a DV survivor, "Different Kind of Animal" is my favorite.
Some others I like are "Thank you for Hating Me," "Limit" with Lo Spirits, and "Would Anyone Care"

Thank you for your reactions. I discovered Citizen Soldier a few months ago. I am in a much better place than I was a few years ago. But depression has a way of showing up unannounced. I know you get lots of requests because different songs resonate more with different people. So if you find the time to react to “This is Not a Phase”, I would love to hear it. That song resonates the most with me because of the lack of understanding and support I experience on my bad days. Unfortunately, I recently got hit with major medical news and so that has triggered some feelings as well as new feelings a being scared. Thanks again for your reactions and breakdown of songs. Music is therapy and you add even more.
"Let it burn" was their first song and for being their first its incredible when thinking how it originated.
I love their music/lyrics. So real and intense.

My favorite song by them is “I’m not okay” followed by “bedroom ceilings” and “would anyone care” tied for second. I’ve tried to let people I know listen to them saying that’s how I feel but I still get dismissed and ignored. No one knows how close I truly is and how ok with it I am. That’s the hardest and scariest part, being ok with it. I envy the people who have voices to battle with in their heads. When it’s only your voice you’re hearing, it’s harder to battle.
Been listening all nught long, doing my monthly cry session. Gotta get it out somehow. Music is our conduit when it hurts
i love songs like this, makes me think of my ex BFF from when i was a teenager/young adult going through college who betrayed me in the worst way possible

I'm so glad that you spoke about addressing the parent that didnt rescue you, and I hope that peopke who were in that situation find your video and hear you validate this. Whether there were extenuating circumstances or not, that abandonment is so difficult. I forgave my mother a long time ago for the mental abuse she put me through, because i know she was mentally ill and incapable of anything else. But my father, who divorced her and left me there with her? I don't know that I will ever be capable of forgiving him for that, and 30 years later I still don't feel that he is someone I can confide in or seek comfort from.
