One detail I love is that it's really the character tossing the gold over, not an off-screen gold handling scene where the character pretends they're giving something out
My favorite act 2 dialogue check is with the guy who made a deal with Raphael where you can straight up avoid fighting him by making him kill his minions, his pet, and himself
@@ChristianGonzalez-qu6fsthe little switch character button at the bottom left of the screen when you are in dialog scenes. It is very helpful for pinning a merchant in place to pickpocket them with.
I talked her to death in a similar way in my playthrough, but could not truly understand what made her die. She just started talking about paying back the gold and... bam.
It seems to be some sort of curse inflicted upon her when the shadow falls. She would die when she doubts her need of gold or the ability to get them (like convincing her that she’s about to be promoted elsewhere or fear enough to not get the gold) So I guess she died when she can’t get the gold, literally.
I thought a moment of clarity and guilt made her part with the emotion sustaining her as a spirit: avarice. She wants to release it and give it back. So she finds peace.

In my playthrough, i just pushed her out of one of the broken walls (which broke half her armor) and just threw javelins at her until the rest of her armor broke and she died. She didn't even fight back, just stood there and let me kill her without even going into combat. But I got the achievement!
If you give her 5000+ gold first, she gives you a unique item (it's not ACTUALLY super useful, but it's unique- it's a scroll of Flesh to Stone, but the stone texture is changed out for gold, and it is labeled something like Baldur's Gate Safe Passage Writ), and she's also WAY heavier so if you still successfully shove her off the ledge she takes like 500+ damage.
They are all easy when you convince them to kill themselves. Almost every boss in Act2, (except Balthazaar maybe) even yes the big bad of act2 can be encouraged to commit suicide.
@@SuperHongTay Yeah, when I realized this was possible while encountering the one scene with the weird surgery people at the house of healing I laughed so hard 😂 Then, I immediately decided to do it as many times as possible. It's hilarious

I didn't know this was an option, because my characters were not Paladins at the time, I'll have to remember that! Also, if you have an assload of gold on you if she attacks, she will hit you for the amount of gold you have as damage, becuase weird DnD mechanics :D
certain classes have it easier than others, but anyone can try to make the DC 18 (21?) checks to explode her. it’s worth attempting even if you probably won’t succeed :)
I didn't know you could existential crisis them today. First play through I saw that they were shitting gold with every step and murdered everything within two stories of that building just to be thorough. Hell I didn't even know you could TALK to it.
She was a fun fight; kited her with Asarion out of the toll house, killed the skulls, which broke off all her armor until she was 6hp demon, begging for mercy; and then arrow to the face.
my friend spent the game up to this point just hoarding and stealing gold everywhere..and got completely annihilated. Probably the funniest thing to happen of any game I've played in a while
I kinda feel bad for killing the gold lady, Beer Man, Yurgir and that Ogre in moonrise bantering with the soldiers in the sleeping quarters the way i did. They way they died singed a bit of pity out of me
@@remconoordermeer7015 I tried it out today, she did nothing except letting you pass. Unless there is a special item or trigger needed its not worth the gold.

@@remconoordermeer7015 No, you just ask how much gold she needs, and she says all of it, you give her all your gold and get a signed trade visa which you can use for 3 casts of flesh to gold.
@@kaydee66781 Yeah, from what I've read as well, there is A LOT of cut content, a fair number of them being from act 3. And honestly, I would not mind if they add said cut content due time restriction as a DLC.
@@Fabio-ql5yf Yes. My love for the game was almost crushed by how awful, laggy, and momentum-killing act 3 was. It has its high points, like fighting against a shapeshifter and a rematch with an act 1 villain, but overall it just doesn't feel good.
According to a lot of people on tiktok this was a very easily missable encounter so at least it isn't anything major. I try not to upload anything from the main story

I just talked them with my surprisingly low charisma barb. 😅 Shar has some nice curves, but I ain't simp. There's a song I like to relate to when I do, and it's Gorillaz - Souk Eye.
My biggest gripe with BG3 is how none of the classes and some reaces don't feel *that* unique. I could be buggin' though. For example: Monks aren't much of a big deal, they literally got wiped out like the Airbenders by the Gith in Lathandar's monastery. And you do get some cool dialogue options too but that's about it.

I told her the same thing, but also that she was promoted and reassigned to another location.
For me I told her she could keep all the gold for herself, and she still explodes

Nothing actually, she wasnt living - a cursed ghost/soul/shadow that runs off an insourmantable greed that she possesed when was alive
