The 360 powered Long EZ that I flew for 11 years burned 5.6 gallons per hour at 200 MPH economy cruise at 16-18,000'. It has lots of speed mods. I sold it a year ago for a high price, but not before I bought a 290 powered, unmodified one to replace it. It cruises at 175 MPH burning 7.5 gallons per hour at altitude.
Huh, interesting. I've so far avoided buying a gopro3, black or otherwise. Especially since the new gopro3+ has been ruined because Gopro decided to change the focal point to make the camera better for "selfies" (ugh) which now makes it blurry and out of focus when shooting video of landscapes from the sky. If you look on youtube or ebay, there's a new camera out called the Mobius, its 1/3rd the price and the weight and I think its as good or better than my gopro1, but no waterproof case. You can check out my youtube channel for lots of aerial videos... I can't afford full scale manned aircraft so I live vicariously through R/C remove video. Building a homebuilt plane for myself, like the varieze... following in the footsteps of Burt Rutan has been a lifelong dream though, one of these days!!! :)
Mark Kennedy not happening. Updates (and wireless) are turned off before becoming airborne. WX is delivered via ADS-B which clearly doesn’t allow disruptive updates
