Ive been a tech for 2 years then moved into parts and have done everything from front counter to wholesale to manager for 12 years. Now I want to be a service advisor. I hope to be a fixed ops manager
My young colleagues are typically unable or unwilling to come in early or work late. It's the old-timer that is there an hour early and after hours . Just my experience
Hi Chris, I jut got a job as service advisor and I'd never been into this industry I have zero knowledge with cars though I have a 6yrs experience working in a customer relationship enviroment. If only I can use our own language I can communicate with customers easily I'm really good building relations with customers(I'm from the philippines) I got the job here in NZ I can do basic communication with people here and I can say my comprehension is good. What makes me nervous is that aside I don't have background in cars I might have a problem communicating with people hope you could give me some advises or tips on how I can overcome this fear it would be a big help. By the way I got hired because I was referred by my husband who works there as Technician haha though I undergo interviews with their manager and branch manager

Number five is extremely dead on. Make the mistake of being a parts advisor for a year. Had to fight tooth and nail to get back on the drive.

How is you're new service role going? I just got a service job in nz too and I'm new to it all wouldn't mind some advice
Both of you should be paying attention to your kids and making food. This is why this civilization is going to end soon.
Thank you for this question. I am in the same position
The writers we have can’t right more than 5 a day with out getting overwhelmed and going slow. Bad service advisors bottle neck your shop
