Great review, thanks for doing this. I too bought a MARIUS32 from China. I found their customer service second to none and I am totally pleased with this kayak. I have been adding several upgrades and am near to creating a video to demonstrate its many attributes.
I just bought this same one from a local shop here in Texas for $999 I like mine hold onto that center console though! Took mine off to raise the drive and a boat flew by and rocked the yack and the console disappeared into the water faster then I could grab the net!
I just bought this one in West Columbia Texas sold under the name Pro Fish Fin Finder 110. Slowly rigging it up. But it’s pretty damn good for $998 and packed with features for that price. The wheels on the bottom make it easy to move and avoid rash. I had to add seat risers. Not a fan of the low seat.
I’m have noticed the deck is a little soft. I’m 225 and the plastic has a little give to it. I’m used to a hobie pa so this one was still surprisingly nice.
They make a seat riser, I used it on mine...its a 3d printed product if I can find the link I will send it. Its perfect. Cheap too. Its a good yak for the $$...Claire-Jinn in the comments here on this video is my vikking rep, you can reach out to her for goodies maybe too.

Hi Joe - did you get the Vicking VK32 out on the water yet? And if so, what are your thoughts? How does it handle? If you could do it all over, would you go the same route and get the Vicking VK32.... or get a different kayak? Thanks for all the great input... keep those lines tight! Cheers
@@capitolbassfishing - Thanks Joe for the feedback! Would you say this is comparable - quality and amenities wise - to a $1600 or $2000 Perception or Vibe Kayak? So far from what I have researched, these kayaks, especially the Vk-32, has many great qualities that the "name brand" kayaks have (and those are mostly from China as well). If the ride and handling are great, I'm going to grab a few. Thanks Joe!
Thanks for this. I saw this on alibaba and was skeptical. Have been in touch with their support. Pending a response to them asking about my nearest shipping port. I’m in NOVA (see your Hokies shirt) so I told them Norfolk and Baltimore. About to watch your video on the ordering process for more details but I’m thinking I’m gonna go this route if the shipping costs doesn’t outweigh the overall benefit for buying just one. Now just have to convince my wife. 😅
No, there is a lock down mechanism that keeps it down...it will if you are hauling but most things I hit are not that big of an issue. It doesnt feel "great" buit so far nothing has broken.
@@capitolbassfishing Thank you. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me to Hammerhead who now sells them for 1300. Any idea how to still get the deal you did?
Great video👍👍👍 did you measure the length width and depth of the kayak? In alibaba some sellers writes 330 cm length and some sellers 320 cm. I wanna learn the actual sizes
Joe!! I can't wait for the vids up and coming!! I've been wanting one but dang man the prices are through the roof around here. The cheapest I've found was $1300-$1500.. I've got a boat but it needs some serious TLC that I don't have time or money to give lol. So I'm looking for a quicker and cheaper alternative👍👍👍
yep I will, although the price on Alibaba may look good but you have to pay tax from china, import fees US, tarrif US to China ...so buying just one...wont get you very far...the best option is to buy 4, sell 3 and you'll end up $0 for your kayak. The part that freaks most people out is the $3500 outlay and selling the other three but its really not that hard.
Click bait! Misleading title. You make everyone sit through your commercial for this kayak THEN you tell us it costs more than the $500 you claimed in the title.
@@capitolbassfishing Is this Joe logged in to a different ID? My point is that your title claims you are reviewing a peddle drive kayak viewers could purchase for $500 -when in fact it is a commercial for selling products sourced from China -with far more money out of pocket and risks. I am happy for you getting a boat you like for your efforts.
Try creating a company based around injection molding poly-ethylene in the United States. It costs many times more here than in china. That’s why china is beating the world as a manufacturer
"OK" but I dont stand much mainly sit and pedal. You can order a higher plastic pellet density and make them stronger. They actually make units with motor units to slip right in.

This is a great kayak for the size, but if you want one that's a little bigger, you should look at the VK-40. It's a perfect kayak.
Thanks for this review
this looks great for going in a straight line, ik you can get skegs and such but having my hands available sounds great.
it has a rudder and can steer
@capitolbassfishing I found couple drops of oil on the rear cables for steering helps smooth it out
oooh good tip!

What shop did you get it from in texas
@@cheapprintedtshirts1985 Line Cutterz out here near Freeport TX
seems to be very much like the "Hammerhead" Kayak
Beautiful.. the main reason I like this K was build in 2 wheels.. it's easy for 1 person carry to water.. 👍
Yes, true
The pedal drive looks huge. Looks like it sticks way below the kayak. going to have to be in at least 5 feet of water to use the system
nah, only like 1.5 feet or so

Basically difference between pedal and paddle is if I’m fishing I I can still fish while pedaling but can’t fish and paddle at the same time
pretty much

Hi Joe...any updates about your Vicking Marius ? How is it holding up ?
I need to do an update, I will try soon.
I would rather not have the wheel attached permanently at the bottom. If it cracked at some point, it would cause trouble to patch it on the run.

How sturdy is the floorboard
This is a good deal, thinking about yhis yak but motor a trolling motor to fit the pedal area. Weight capacity?
You can order one, not sure if it's worth the extra weight. The prop drives are pretty damn easy
is this legal to buy without owning a biz and just keeping them for ur self?
perfectly legal
Dude thanks a lot
No problem
Where is the 2nd part? Have you been fishing with it? any videos? what do you like and what you did not?
In my videos...check it out.
The only thing about these kayaks is theyre not compatible with the conventional t track gear mounts like yakattack.
not sure what you mean but the track system is the same as what is on my friends feel free ... his stuff fits mine.
@capitolbassfishing you need adaptors for the feel free tracks too. Good to know people just need to buy the feelfree adaptors.
Where you going to do a review on this on the water? Definitely waiting for it!!
Soon, too many projects currently...sorry
Is that shipping included?
Go Hokies!
haha yes
