I hope you're doing well. I can relate to you. Trying to work with it while doing college is giving me a hard time, and I just experienced the loss of a pet. It gets rough but using mechanisms like this can help. I'd never get a bird but these guys are really cool and do help lift your spirit

I love how you refer to family members to him. My late parents always called my past cats their grand son or grand daughter and considered themselves to my first two cats as grandpa and grandma. So nice to hear how others talk to their pets about their human relatives the same way. My two cats now are my daughter and son. And to people I know my two new kittens almost a year old I refer to them as the kids. And they ask how are the kids. Pets aren't animals to me. They're family.

People who have talking birds often do this 😂. I carry on all kinds of conversations with mine whether they are rattling on or not. I make up all kinds of senarios for my own entertainment. Lol 😁 Even with my cat. That's what happens when you live alone and only have furred & feathered kids. 😆
He speaks his own personal language much of the time. Sometimes, it sounds like talk from Star Wars, or machinery. He came that way from what I have read. Sometimes he does speak English though LOL. So there really is nothing that has subtitles that would mean anything for most viewers.
Max's first owner had a CB radio playing 24/7 and that is where Max learned the low voiced chatter that he rambles most of the time. Max's current owner learned that information from the second owner and spoke about it in detail on one of his Q&A videos.

I had a cocktail years ago and he was so stressful I got him as a rescue so he was scared of everything I think what u r doing is amazing and po box isn't bad make it in another town. It has everything: a quiet thoughtful Max at the beginning, then another hilarious conversation with his daddy and backchat in that incomparable deep voice; then going back into 'hi' mode jumping down and running around while Dan comments on the trail of destruction; then finally clambering up the cage with the promise of dinner ahead. Stellar!
Have u ever had regrets taking this bird in? He's a hand full . But surely you've had some special moments to make it worth it. He seems like a sweetheart. But still that child kicks in .

That voice is actually Max imitating the receiving end of the phone conversation. A good friend of mine has 7 Grey's . Some of the adopted which came from an abusive household.The one would Imitate the male and the female owners abusive fight even the sound of her falling down the stairs and screaming " I'm going to call my lawyer!" lol The others would sing the Star Wars Theme song. But that Robot voice is for sure his phone voice of the Grandma.

That voice is actually Max imitating the receiving end of the phone conversation. A good friend of mine has 7 Grey's . Some of the adopted which came from an abusive household.The one would Imitate the male and the female owners abusive fight even the sound of her falling down the stairs and screaming " I'm going to call my lawyer!" lol The others would sing the Star Wars Theme song. But that Robot voice is for sure his phone voice of the Grandma.
