I wonder why this comparison is drawn with Us, but not with the Dutch film Borgman(2013). Parasite very much resembles this movie. The concept is quite the same except Borgman has some dark, nihilistic approach that is intellectually enjoyable, but Parasite is made as a thriller drama for the mass with a good recipe of the spices. If anyone watches both movies, she/he might think Bong Joon-ho decided to make Parasite(2019) after watching Borgman(2013).
Wonderful analysis but the critics or audience fail to see this or don't want to face the truth in the west or in Korea where but as us asian people or audience see this from a far afraid that one day this will happen to our country or maybe it's already happening
