Also important to remember.... when you gain control of the gun, you dont know if the gun is actually loaded or functional. So, do not depend on it alone.
If a bullet doesn't come out when you pull the trigger the first time, pistol whip the piss out of him.

In Krav Maga it's done in a similar way you control the hand by first moving the gun upwards with your right hand and with the left turning the gun towards him which breaks his finger on the trigger step back check the safety and clip and your good to go

Master Wong... My son has a common bully at school. Always trying to mess with my son. Often after school, off campus property, the bully tries to confront my son with 2-3 others, but always the same one initiating.
My son without much knowledge beside few basic techniques i taught him (I really know nothing, just few techniques i learned from my HS days of fighting). The bullies have managed to surround him a time or two, push him down, or they try swinging at him, and he manages to evade their punches mostly. Theirwas one time my son was on the ground and 1 or 2 were on top punching his mid section.
I personally explained he needs to get his back to an object, andif outnumbered, strike first the first one approaching him.
I will now teach him what i learned from your videos defending a push and the rear chokes. But what about defending sepf against multiple bullies?
What about defending self if your already on the ground?
Can you make these videos?
Can you also make family friendly videos that I could allow my children to watch?
Maybe a video how a child can defend themself against an adult perp? In todays world, this is all too common. Though my children have not had any trouble yet vs an adult perpetrator, if that day ever came I'll have to kill someone... It would be a nice lesson for my kids to know how to defend self and get away if they ever find themself in that situation.

I wish you the best dude. Hope Wong can assist you. Just keep working with your son, showing him what you know and build his confidence. I would also suggest getting him into some formal training it will help. I’m a practitioner and years ago had a young gentleman in the same situation like your son. After a few weeks of training he had learned enough skills to put the bully in his place. Good luck.

Master Wong, with respect... What if the gunman is any kind of competent and stands out of reach.
Anybody who knows how to correctly use a firearm, knows that distance is key.
I'd also like to say, also with much respect. If you do disarm the attacker, I wouldn't recommend holding onto him.
Why? Firstly, even if you do have control of him around the neck, he can still thrash about, causing your aim of your firearm to go askew.
Secondly, there's a risk your attacker has significant hand to hand skills, enough to get a hold of the firearm and wrestle for it. Why risk it? Throw them down or away and back pedal checking all your angles whilst keeping your sights on the attacker. Shooting if he continues to be a deadly threat.
If, you do fail in throwing the opponent away from you and also he gets a hold of the gun again there's a chance he could reclaim it... There are significant techniques tried and proven that work to prevent this occurring. One such technique is to hold one hand on the slide, the other on the grip and trigger, taking care not to cover the barrel with any flesh. This makes it very difficult to remove the gun from your hands and your still able to shoot at least once. Don't forget you can still use elbow strikes effectively in this position.
NOW, GET BACK TO YOUR TRAINING!
In the heat of the moment the guy with the gun won't think of any of this cause naturally he thinks he has the upper hand and if he just so happens to be Jason Bourne I don't think he would be robbing people he'd be smart to find a job like a body guard which pays more than robbing

In America the average person who watches tactical training videos, that are easily accessible will know this stuff.
Things do not happen in real life as they do in the movies, confrontations are shouted across wide spaces, not face to face.

Gun fights happen over longer distance, not in reach of each other.
Funny how on youtube every commenter is a self proclaimed expert. Before you critisize him, you showed you didn't even understand the situation he was teaching for : robbery, not mass shooter. If you pretend to cooperate timidly with the robber, he will close the distance to grab your wallet from your hand. It all depends what your body language looks like. If you act like you're some kind of tough bodyguard he may not want to get your wallet from your hand.
Second thing, this self defense is last resort, he do it if he thinks the criminal might shoot him anyway.
