It also looked 10x better in person. I’m not a fan of the wheels, a little to race-y for me. I like the look of the traditional GTI wheels that this generation has.
@@YourOldFriendJames I’m sure it’s nice in person, and I’m somewhat the same i like the traditional wheels but the autobahn wheels look better then the new SE glossy black rims
Breaking in my gti 7.5 autobahn first k miles with custom mode all normal settings except soundaktor on eco. Not blipping far past 4K rev. Soundaktor is useful on manual while listening to music loud with the really nice fender audio. After 1kmiles I will be in sport with Audi engine and assist tuning. Regular steering. Eco soundaktor.
Loved your review, made me laugh. I just got the Mk7.5 Autobahn 6mt in black pearl - a beauty but hard to keep clean inside and out. Definitely agree with your assessment of the dynamic lane assist technology: totally weird and alien. There is a lot of tech on this little golf like the lane assist, the light vectoring, the chassis control, limited slip differential, traction control, stability control, proximity sensors fore and aft and more. Despite it all, it succeeds both as a daily driver and a fun hot hatch. When you mash the gas, especially in 3rd gear, it has that grin-inducing giddyup that you want in a vehicle of this class.
I drove a dsg mk8 gti a few days ago. I understand why people like a dsg gearbox but I found it dulls the experience for me and makes the car less engaging. The mk7 is a good gti but the sweet spot for me is a manual mk5 or mk6. I drive a stage 1 mk6 so maybe I'm a bit biased. Wouldn't consider changing it for a mk8 though.
Not a big fan of red but the autobahn trim is nice in this color

The 2021 GTI is also the first Golf to include *wireless* carplay.

I really enjoyed the video and the sense of humor. Kudos, Bro! :)

Thank you, glad you enjoyed my friend!
And congrats on the purchase, for sure the GTI is at the top of my list for daily drivers.

French accent that was supposed to be German but called it Asian. I’m so confused
I think you get it 😁
Really good video man, i enjoyed watching it, keep doing it like that💜
Some kid is gonna buy this car and immediately add the burble tune from that Evo.
And straight pipe it 🤦🏽♂️
Got the 21 autobahn, gna get a stage 1 tune. Lane assist is annoying
Stop the spinning
