Sorry I disagree on him being a HoFer. Had a couple great years but average most of it. There are others who had better numbers who are not in the hot and they played in a tougher period

Yes you are. Yellow in ANY color scheme other than a banana cream pie is hideous. The blue and white is much better and they're the best team in the NFL at 7-0. Yellow reminds me of vomit.

Except Zachary Levi is supposed to play Warner. Little concerned this movie is going to be very much a “Christian” film (which there’s nothing wrong with btw, it just misses the actual storyline of how guys like Kurt were missed in the first part).

Arguably my favorite non-Packers QB ever. His story is amazing. From going undrafted and being a bag boy and a QB for Arena Football, to becoming a 2x MVP, Super Bowl champ, and Hall Of Famer. Kurt Warner was the man.

Kurt, it doesn't matter how much you struggled after Super Bowl 34, what matters is that you became a legendary inspiration to all the athletes that followed you, and you proved that every underdog has his day

It’s even worse when you realize both the loss to the Patriots and the Steelers were very winnable games.
Warner should be 2-1 or even 3-0 in the big game.
But he did make crucial errors in both, gave up both a pick 6 and a fumble

I really remember Vermeil's saying "we will rally around Kurt Warner, and we will play good football", and thinking "yeah right, that's coach speak for you, they were a 4 win team last year, and now have a nobody at QB; they're toast." Still one of my favorite all time sports stories are the 1999 Rams - and I'm a Bills fan, who lost to the Titans in terrible fashion a month earlier, so that Super Bowl was extra awesome for me.
As a falcons fan... I can respect you even brought up the music city miracle. I always forgot that was their Superbowl year I always thought it was year after. Got em mixed up.

Kurt Warner should have been the first QB to win a Super Bowl on two different teams as a starter. If it wasn't for the Steelers and their amazing catch in the end zone, he would have two Super Bowls.
He threw what amounted to a 14 point turnaround on an interception just before halftime. That didn't help much either.
Yes, that 100yd return was the difference in the game. If anyone had knocked that guy out of bounds those 7 points aren't there. Kurt mounted a great comeback but Ben did, too. One of the great Super Bowls where the teams both played so well you hate to see one of them lose.

Kurt is the man no doubt but the fact that Issac Bruce and Torry Holt played on the same team in their primes is beyond insane!

Those were the trio. But damn I loved the rams team, I remember when I was about 8 and it was about 2001/2002 and we were pretty close and I saw them and thus was the first time I ever went to a football game and loved football since and the rams.

I'm a Dolphins fan...since 1970. I have a lot of great players to chose from with the Miami franchise. But Kurt Warner is my All Time favorite football player. For two reasons, his class on the field and his class off the field. And, yes, he and I are brothers in Jesus.

My first year playing fantasy football. I had Trent Green, Marshall Faulk and Isaac Bruce. Green went down in the pre-season and I was bummed. I picked up Warner because I knew he was going to play, figuring I was in for rough sledding. I pretty much walked away with the league title.
That's funny. In 99-01, you could probably win any fantasy league by picking only rams.
Imagine if they had ppr rules back then. You could have had browns for the rest of your roster and still walked away with it.

Yeah, Manning and Brady both had better regular seasons in which they broke the all time TD pass mark but both of them lost the Super Bowl in those years. For the record, I think Brady and Montana are the two greatest QB's ever, career wise and if Brady ever had the likes of Tory Holt, Isaac Bruce, Ricky Proehl, Naz Hakim and Marshall Faulk on his team, the Patriots would've gone 19-0 and he would've thrown 80 TD's in one season.
One of the best NFL stories ever! I also miss Warner in the NFL. Few QB's had an arm like his.
So grateful to have been a St. Louis Rams fan and watch it all unfold. I was devastated as a young man watching Trent get his knee blown out. The ride to the Championship that year was an amazing one. Thank you Kurt.

That was such an amazing football team.
This is a terrible showing by the NFL... nothing I am watching in this matches up with what I am hearing... you hear his wife talk about how he'd say I cant do anything right.. and we are seeing him on Dancing with the stars... we hear his teammates talk about how hard the coaches were on him... and we see him cheering to the fans... no emotion in this piece because it was horribly edited...
That has to be the most remarkable story in NFL history as far as a guy who seemingly came from nowhere to become a legend.

That was indeed an unforgettable season. Everyone called the Rams "the greatest show on turf" and their defense left a lot to be desired. But they ran over every team they faced with devastating numbers. If the opponent scored 40 points, the Rams scored 50. It was an amazing team in an amazing season.
They were actually one of the better defenses in the league both of their super bowl years. Y2K was when the defense was horrible.

I love Kurt, my grandma was a die hard fan and I remember watching him at this super bowl 9 years old in St Louis. He is why St. Louis loves the rams. By far the best rams player of all times. Love you Kurt!!
Many thoughts: You forget how damn good a coach Vermeil was. Kurt Warner probably would have never had a career at QB had it not been for Rodney Harrison taking out Trent Green. Warner was a great QB, but he may be an even better game analyst.

You could say a lot of things about Mike Martz. That he wasn't a good head coach. That he decided to call too many pass plays. But one thing he was right on was Kurt Warner, because Kurt was a guy with the right character, toughness and skill to lead a team.

Being from Iowa I watched him play in the Barn in Des Moines...and ride the bench earlier at UNI...and even when I lived in Amsterdam so I've followed him since day one basically. Met him at my church in Phoenix.... He's legit. Everything you hear about him is true....straight up. We're so proud of the player he is but, in terms of a person, and the "community" of Iowa....proud of him for how he treats people and his overcoming the challenges. #iowaproud #favplayer

And that first game.... he threw over 300 yards against the Ravens which were almost the full squad that was the greatest defense of all time.

5th and I think at one point Kurt Warner was supposed to have a workout with the Green Bay Packers, but he was stung by a scorpion and lost his chance or something.

This is the only time in NFL history where a QB who threw 40 or more TDs in the regular season would go on to win the Superbowl. For some reason throwing a lot of TDs in the regular season doesn't equal playoff success.

Exactly! Don't get me wrong Tom Brady is a good story also being a late draft pick, but he was a rookie. Kurt Warner was 27 in his rookie Year! Honestly the fact that Martz traded him to New York was a pitiful thing especially after the injury. I honestly believe he could have won at least two more Super Bowls a top from what he had

Kurt’s Debut was against the lethal Ray Lewis and the Ravens Defense. What a great way to prove yourself!
Born and raised in STL. When Green went down It totally deflated me, and I thought for sure the season was over. What followed was perhaps the greatest offensive season ever, at least up until that point. That offense really did revolutionize the game. Can't say enough good things about Warner, as well as Marshall Faulk, Bruce, Holt, Pace... What a team.
