If Kurt Warners story isn't one of the most inspiring things your will ever see or read about, there's something wrong with you. That guy is literally one in a million.
I found my faith when I first seen this man toss a football.

One of the best comeback coaching stories in history. He had a powerhouse Eagles team go to the 1980 Superbowl, but they were too would up, and easily beaten by a relaxed Raiders team in a crushing loss.
Fast forward many years. When he came back to the Rams he was as you say, a lot more open, a lot more willing to allow his passion to flow, and the result was incredible. One of the most magical seasons in history.

I remember when I thought Kurt Warner was "just" a system QB. Then I saw him firing lasers all over the field as a 37 year old in XLIII and changed my mind.
Yeah, he carried that Cardinal team and helped them win when it mattered most. In fact, some lucky breaks cost them a real potential first SB win there.
He had 3 receivers all over a 1000 yards that season. That's field vision at its best

I'm a broncos fan and find my self watching highlights of this team a lot, I remember these days when I was in middle school, they were bar none the most popular team for 3 years straight, jerseys were all over Colorado.

Steve McNair was really a great QB. So underrated and not talked about enough. Tragic ending to his life. Wasn’t a perfect person, but was a solid man and carried that offense for years, along with everyplay Eddie.
He played for Jeff fisher he underutilized him big time

I decided to take my 2 boys to an NFL game in 1999. I chose a Rams game because they had been no good and I thought we could get good tickets. The seats were horrible, 2nd row from the roof end zone - couldn't even see the back line of the end zone. But we saw Isaac Bruce catch 3 TDs right in front of us in the 1st quarter as the Rams demolished the 49ers. And of course the Rams were SB champions. 20 years later my son took his 2 boys to see the Chiefs - and they were SB champions. Maybe we should go to a Cowboys game. Football is awesome.

What makes the Rams story so interesting was that they were supposed to be the original dynasty but the Patriots took their place and went on a 2 decade run for the ages.
Watching this and seeing Marshall Faulk playing reminded me of Chris Berman back in the day saying "Marshall Marshall Marshall" anytime he made a big play.

That was Ricky Proehl. He got the Rams last TD that tied up the game. 2 years later he was playing for Carolina in Superbowl 38. He got the Panthers last TD to get the lead late in the 4th, and the Patriots marched down and won it again. Dude had TWO game saving/game winning TD's in two different Superbowls, and nobody talks about cause Tom Brady.

The Kurt Warner story is amazing. I remember that he seemed to come out of nowhere and become a football God. You could almost just see a football spiraling through the air and know, "Warner threw that".

So sad to see the Rams leave St. Louis to go back to LA, now it is even sadder that St. Louis is without a nfl team. This was one of the best offenses the league has ever seen at the time. Edward Jones Dome was special

@@bconni2 Ownership & organization have to be "on board" with what you said. Yet, there were dissenters w/in both moves (away & back to L.A.) on both sides of the controversy. So in effect, not just a "Georgia F." kinda thing.
Such a fun offense to watch. The Rams became my “NFL Guilty Pleasure” during their dominance. Faulk, Warner,Pace,Holt,Bruce,Akeem, just insane to watch perform.
Then I was oddly in awe of the Patriots accomplishments for the next 20 years. Lol

The shifts and motions in that Rams offense was utilized better than any other offense I've ever saw, especially back then. I remember the fans in Indy was shitty about trading Faulk, but we drafted Edge and he was a beast for the Colts. Those were the good ole days.
To this day St. louis loves and always will always love these guys that are the Greatest Show On Turf. We don't need another team but we will never forget those days.
Kurt Warner was very blessed with an all star offense and coaching staff.. he had such a plentiful and lethal squad offensively. Kurt was definately in the right place at the right time for him to be such a success and essentially a Cinderella story in the NFL
This almost sounds like a back handed compliment lol Kurt was blessed with the right pieces around him and coaches who knew how to use them, but Kurt definitely was the lead guy in that offense. No way IMO they would have reached there peak with Trent Green or Marc Bulger running that offense. Lets also remember Kurt not only taking a cinderella Cardinals to the SB, but he was a last minute Ben Rothlisberger drive from winning a SB with a completely different team and offense. Kurt was that guy.

I still remember being glued to the TV for both their victory, and loss, in those Super Bowls. You literally couldn't not watch it.
And the New England Patriots ended that dynasty baby and started their own for twenty year's baby!!!!!!

I know the greatest show on turf is all about the "skill positions," but it is definitely worth mentioning that Rams team's left tackle, Orlando Pace. That dude was a monster and locked down Warner's blind side.

I will never forget this moment and this team, from Kurt Warner to Vermeil and all team, their victory in the championship XXXIV in the most enjoyable game I have ever watched for them and the Rams. The greatest show on turf and on earth.
Vermeil should’ve never left the team after that Super Bowl year. They would’ve won all 3 years he was at the helm, since martz would be allowed to do what he does best, coordinate elite offenses. God I miss this team, I’m a dolphins fan growing up in sou th Florida but there were times I was more eager to watch the rams play then Miami lol. Best offense I’ve seen ever. And that includes the 98 Vikings, 07 pats, and 13 broncos

Actually... Bruce is number five on the all time receiving list and what a lot of people don’t realize about him... He had his best seasons BEFORE the Greatest Show on Turf. He had a 120 reception like 1,780 yard season in like 95 or 96. Which is also fifth on the list for a single season record. Fifth on the list for career, fifth on the list for single season... He may in fact be a top ten receiver. Although nowadays a lot of people probably actually consider Holt the better receiver. Although Bruce is in the Hall and Holt isn’t. Holt will get in though. Anyway, Bruce is also 13th in career receptions and 12 in career reception tds. He’s at least a top 15 all time receiver based on stats... 100%

I was at that Rams-49ers game. 9 years old me in my Jerry Rice jersey with my dad and grandpa hoping to see a good 49ers victory, or at least a close game. Instead we were early witnesses to the Greatest Show on Turf and a 42-20 slaughter that seemed even worse. Still my only NFL game in person.

Well, you had good taste in that Jerry Rice jersey, anyway. Rice, along with Walter Payton, was the best football player EVER. And both left with the most career TDs. I got to watch Walter when I moved to NE Chicago in the mid-1970s. I never saw Jerry play in person, but damn! what a great receiver! He set the standard. Walter's highlights on TH-cam are enough to make a grown man smile. Jerry, I laugh just thinking of how great he was.
What a time to be alive. It was absolutely amazing. I will never forget these moments.

i was living abroad when the Rams blew up. we had to avoid news and watch replays of games. I remember watching them play under Warner for the first time and i have still never seen a team play that fast.
Man the way Marshall Faulk would shift when he ran was a thing of beauty! It was like a Porsche going from 1st to 3rd gear with in seconds!

The 99 Rams have to be one of the greatest turnarounds in sports.
And Super Bowl 36 was so strange. A Potential dynasty gives way a new one. Kurt Warner was one of the great underdog stories and is usurped by another incredible underdog story by Tom Brady.

Started watching football in 3rd grade rams became my fav team instantly. Then thst first year of watching they went to the super bowl against the Titans and got me even more into football with one of the most exciting super bowls ever.
I kind of forgot how good Kurt Warner actually was and then he had a Resurgence when he left for Arizona
They had a great team Warner and his offense players and defense were on fire.
I really enjoyed that era of football I used to watch from live from London and go to work tired every Monday morning 🌄 but I wouldn't of changed a thing.
i love that Marshall Faulk going to the Rams, a team that didn't meet any criteria he gave to his agent and after being spurned by the Colts - he continued his march to the HOF. he inspired me to continue being the best i could be when my accomplishments went unnoticed by my bosses and so-called "superiors."
I’m a Colts fan, but the ownership has a bad habit of not giving their star players credit or the proper help. All of the amazing players they’ve had that never got credit for how amazing they were, was always due to lack of a decent O line.

same story for me, it was madden 03 with him on the cover. 03 got me into football and then i played countless hours of 04 with vick on the cover. great era of football.
Now there’s a movie about Kurt’s special story, and the rams incredible up rise.

I saw the Rams play at San Francisco and the offense was fun to watch. Specially live where you saw the whole field and you saw the wide receivers get open and Warner fire the ball to them.
Even though the Rams went downhill after 2001, Kurt Warner had another finishing act and I think that was what finally sealed his Hall of Fame induction. Taking the 2008-2009 Arizona Cardinals to within one minute of winning the Super Bowl.

I remember in the winter of 2015, the 1st yr. Kurt was eligible for the Hall of Fame, he was rejected. I told a friend , " That man was a two - time MVP! One ring, three conference championships, I don't know how many pro bowls." He did get his due in 2017, but should have been first- ballot!
They had to give Willie Roaf his due, he retired in 05 and it was past time. 2015 was a competitive year for HOF
Pro Bowl selections, just like NBA All-Star ones, are a joke and have no business being used to define a player's legacy. Use All-Pro honors instead. They actually mean something.

As an Eagles fan, The Greatest Show on Turf ruined my life. I was 10 years old when we lost to the Rams in the NFC championship in 2001. We were a wildcard team!
29:59……This second super bowl win on Sunday was dedicated to that team 2001 Rams and St. Louis as well who still bleed blue and yellow/gold 1995-2015. Once a ram forever a ram. Super Bowl XXXIV 1999 now Super Bowl LVI Champions

For me its hard to beat the Dark Blue and Gold. But mostly I perfered the old Helmet design to the new one..... It was the FIRST NFL HELMENT design how could you change something so historic!!!!!!

It was still pretty impressive watching him take a 2nd franchise that had literally done nothing and playing a very competitive game in the Superbowl
Kurt Warner was a true great in the NFL. Sad he was not looked at till 28 years old, just imagine what he could have done if he had gotten to start at 21 or 22 as many current draft picks do right away. He has 10 year career and made it to the hall of Fame and 3 Superbowls and what he did with the Cardinals really was amazing. That throw Warner to Bruce against the Vikings is one of my favorite throws ever. Extremely high degree of difficulty, no margin for error. He put some power into that throw, he didn't loft it. It had to be perfect. Hit Bruce absolutely in stride.
As a Steeler fan this is the greatest offense I've ever seen and I've been watching football since the 70's.

I am no where near Christian ... but wow, Kurt's faith-trained comportment in life makes one think about going to church. The way he treated his wife and stepson ... dulling her worry and being rock solid in the face of doubt (in uniform as well) ... when a day comes that such sacrifice and commitment is considered the epitome of manliness, humanity is saved. Say, maybe in 30 years?

Kurt Warner is a top notch human being and one of the best QB’s to ever play the game. I’m glad he got a 2nd chance to show his talent.

@@anthonyhutchins2300 people complain about todays nfl because its all the same stuff. Back then u had teams dominated by defense, teams dominating by passing, running. There was just great variation. Now today its all the same template.
I lived in the St. Louis area during that time, and I had been a Rams fan since I was a "little kid", so it was great to see them on a regular basis, on the news, etc. What a great show they put on.
I'll keep saying it, best introduction in all of the NFL Films series
