I have seen a lot of reviews of The Magicians' trilogy on here but no one seemed to understand the concept and it drove me MAD! It is so refreshing to see someone who actually gets what Lev was talking about, and to appreciate the fantasy series and to feel it, the way I have.
you should do podcasts. because you are the one person that actually reviewed this series in the literal sense and didn't try an condone certain characters actions. it was a general, but yet, real interpretation of the series and i loved that ❤️
yer it is pretty rad. what are the plot points that differ from teh SyFy? would you consider making a 3 part [spoiler] book plot points/stand out scenes?
Sorry Jerry but you are super wrong. Lev worked very closely with the show and there are constant nods to the books and many things directly out of the books. Sure how they get there is different and the characters are more lovable. I was disappointed we never got to see Margo’s cryromancy. But I treat the books like the first timeline. The show is the 40th
Where did you get your Buffy the vampire slayer book from, all I can find are the shorter ones which are really expensive (around £20.00 on amazon only 200 pages)
I finished the book recently. I really love how the show handled friendships and. I was alittle shocked I didnt get the same kinda feel from the book between the group but. I could feel a lot more focus was to be on Q and alice. to set up stages so. I enjoyed this alternate timeline of events. And i cant wait to start book 2. But Thank You for making this video and saying positive things about the book. I see alot of hate and people shutting it down to curious people. And I dont think the book deserves that at all.
It's a very intentional deconstruction of Harry Potter and Narnia, so I think the comparison is apt. Whereas Name of the Wind is like a slightly more grounded Harry Potter.
I known this is one of your old videos.. I got the first book just for the cover and dnr it... But seeing you on your recent videos and now this makes me want to read it.. Thanks!!😄😆
@Amat Uccan yes it does. The second and third books are a lot of fun. I almost gave up but the end of the first book kinda kept me around and I really enjoyed the others. This is just my opinion
One of the main reasons why the show is better- cos its female characters (especially Margo) are well written & performed (except Alice maybe) with great arcs/development.
I SOOO appreciate your review! I've been watching the series and have seen nothing but ehh reviews about the books but I really want to read them and not hate them lol. Thanks so much!!🤓📚
same. kept waiting for a twist or development and just as i thought it happened it drags back and return to boring. tho i didnt finish the first book if the next ones develop more i would give it another try but people not saying wether that happens
What a fantastic and amazing review. Ok it's probably you I'm speaking of. I unfortunately caught the last book without first catching the two presiding books. Also I find you to be beautiful. Just thought you should know. Cheers
I have no idea how are you able to like this book too fast story telling that looked more like a summery unreasonable sex just to make the book looks like adult books terrible characters no badman or problem that made the book looks like a diary

The audio book, narrated by Mark Bramhall is incredible.
I agree I've literally listened to this series and read multiple times!
Thank you so much for reviewing these books. Now that the show is over I’ve been rereading them and listening to the audiobook and you are so spot on.
I just finished the third book. I'm very glad I purchased these books. They were a great read. I almost felt bad that it was over.

Same, I love them. In my top 3 series of all time. Maybe my favourite fantasy series. Read it multiple times, and I really feel Quentin.

I love both the series and the show. Totally different vibes in both that complement each other and both are an amazing journey.
Read the first book on to the second book. Love it.
I got the trilogy as a birthday gift from a friend of mine. I'm on the final book and I am still enjoying it ♥

The first book is so bad, does it get better I’m finding it hard to care at all about it
@Jerry C I know I read it and was mad. Most of the time Quentin was making a ton of mistakes and was a loser.
I felt the same ... it get soooooo much better

awesome review ! You are so pretty !
did you notice lev literally never encountered a women in his life? or at least that's how the books read...

Well the book is so rich I knew if Syfy does the show it will be budget friendly. But heard it was good.
what is 1st book name is? and 2st? and 3st?
The Magicians, The Magician King, and The Magician’s Land
I actually hated this series. Didnt like it all and it really fell short for me. Glad you all enjoyed it though! We all have our own opinions!

You sound like Marina!
@Jerry CI suppose she meant a character in the series based on these books, the Magicians.
