This is awesome man such a throwback. I worked at the lodge kitchen 2015, and old faithful inn porter in 2016!!! I love this for you bro and hope you’re still out there living your life. I’ll be back next summer ideally in management
D!!! Moose Anderson here! I put you, along with a BIG THANK YOU, in my latest movie! You hauled a mountain of gear to our room for us! My movie with you in it is my 2nd Yellowstone movie titled “ Off The Beaten Path.” I would be proud to call you my son. You’re a great young man! One of the best I ever had the pleasure to meet. I’m subscribed and watching you! You should have told me you had your own channel! My wife & I think of you often. We can’t tell you enough we appreciated you. Keep smiling and I hope to see you again, in Yellowstone, and soon! 😉
@@dhoward004 It’s a small world. I just saw you raising the American flag in the new Old Faithful Inn video by Xanterra! I’m pretty sure it was you that answered the phone the day I called to book a Crow’s Nest tour. I didn’t realize it was so well known and I thought 2 month reservation for it would have been adequate. I was dead wrong. I cried on your shoulder and gave you my sob story about how I didn’t get to do it on my last trip, because it was closed for Covid. You plead my case to Hershey, and you guys squeezed me in to make my bucket list dream come true. You have no idea what it meant to me. I am forever in your debt. Obviously it meant a lot, as it as a looong scene in my movie. My dad gives me crap about my 30 minute rafter scene being boring! 🤣 I guess some people get it, and some of us do. I tried to show it, for all those not Blessed to be able to do it. I am fortunate to have the health, and funds, to make this trip. Not everyone has those. We stay in Old House rooms when we come, typically for 6 nights with all our hiking, video and camera gear. An old guy, it would kill me hauling all that inside. I thank you for so many reasons and will never forget you. You are great person. Your mom done good! You are Blessed. That is just a fantastic shot of you with the flag on the roof. So iconic! Great job buddy! Our paths WILL cross again! Moose Anderson 🫎
I’m so excited to start working there in a month (hopefully). I’ll be there for four months as a horse wrangler. I’ve been waiting for this for two years now
NaQuan Grant Pat day is every two weeks. I signed up for direct deposit but the first form of payment for everyone was Check regardless of if you had direct deposit or not. The pay varies but from my understanding to all the housekeepers that I talked to they got paid somewhere around $9 maybe a little bit more and also the tips vary depending on the time of the season. I usually got paid on a Wednesday.
Hey how did you get transportation to take to the hostel. This summer someone gave me a ride to a hotel(holiday inn) in bozeman where the yellowstone bus would pick me up. I will be returning next summer from jamaica but how can i get a ride to holiday inn in bozeman.
My first time someone saw me walking with my luggage to it ( I though it was close by) and was kind enough to give me a free ride. But most of the time I take a UBER.
Awesome, as soon as i started watching this I’m like 🤩 i would love to experience working at Yellowstone🌲. Thank you for sharing:) can you get hired if you live in a different state?
I know there are different companies that hire for various jobs around Yellowstone. One I looked into has RV sites which I need. Does Xanterra have rv sites or is it only dorms?
Security and HR has a van that takes employees back to Bozeman,MT . And they usually have to leave within the end of the day that they got fired or quit.
Norvelle the wifi was pretty bad when I first got there in the dorms and it was decent in the snow lodge after people went to sleep and no one is in the lobby. But my dorm which was named Laurel eventually had WiFi 2 months after I got there and it was fairly good.
I'm thinking of doing online school and one of these programs, is that possible? I can do the work whenever- any hour of day or night. I just need internet to do it.
Just finished my contract with xanterra at Yellowstone. I would compare it to being in a cult. It was kind of like high school with dorms. Lots of drama. Everyone is in a clique. Not a bad experience but bizarre.

Glad I could help!
I’ll be working at the old faithful inn too
Just got hired for this summer working in housekeeping. How do the checks look? And what days do you usually get paid?

They also have rv sites
Yeah most locations have Rv sites, they do fill up fast each year (at least at old faithful) . If hired I would definitely get a spot asap.
Is anyone going this summer 2022
I’m hoping , I have a interview coming up
I’m going to Grand Canyon in August
@@digitalbandzz good luck 🍀
@@mzboombartender5289 did u go how is it? Give me the tea girl thinking about going too but we gotta be there if u know what I mean?
Are there black women working there? I’m 36, are there ppl in my age range? Is their dorms for ppl in my age range?
Yeah there's some black women working here, and definitely in your age range. And there's also a dorm for your age if you like.
I just got a job offer to work as a housekeeper in yellowstone. I wanted to know if it wad worth it. Thank you for this video
We’re currently short staffed right now especially in housekeeping BUT to me the fall is my favorite time in Yellowstone.
What is the cost for the uber from the airport to the where the bus will pick us up to go to gardiner. I want to know so i have enough money.
The Yellowstone bus is free you just have to schedule a time
How do people get out of the park if they quit or get fired without a car ?
Security and HR has a van that takes employees back to Bozeman,MT . And they usually have to leave within the end of the day that they got fired or quit.
@@dhoward004 Thanks for answering. At least they can get back to Bozeman without issues, after that they are on their own. Lol
Are you still there ? I have a interview in a few days and I am so excited. Just wondering if you guys are still short staffed.
Yeah I'm still here, and yeah we're still short staffed but not as bad as it was a month or two ago.
@@dhoward004 did you ever think about working at Death Valley?
@@filmlifee4955 I actually haven't been there yet. I'm definitely planning on traveling there in the future.
@@dhoward004 I just got hired for Death Valley I start in a few weeks. I will let you know how it is lol
@@dhoward004 are you a year round employee? You have been there for two years?
What was the uniform like? I’ll be working as a porter too this summer
Porters have the same uniform as housekeepers.
Yo thank you so much for the info. I just got hired myself 😭❤️✨🤯
How long was the process? I just applied yesterday.
@@billyjenkins261 it honestly wasn’t long at all! Went really smoothly.
@@billyjenkins261 after you nail your interview you’ll have to fill out onboarding tasks which are best done on a computer and not your phone.
Hey i went to yellowstone i work as a cook i work in mammoth hotsprings. I want to go back but how can i get a second job.
Usually if you ask housing they may have other positions open since they may be short staffed.
lol watching this in 2022, and you mentioning how its gonna be lit in summer 2020😭
Yeah things change lol
Please please tell me your experience with their wifi usage is it really crappy or is it decent?
Norvelle the wifi was pretty bad when I first got there in the dorms and it was decent in the snow lodge after people went to sleep and no one is in the lobby. But my dorm which was named Laurel eventually had WiFi 2 months after I got there and it was fairly good.
Anyone going summer 2021 here?
Got my interview tomorrow
Applied to a bunch a couple days ago, hoping I get a response lol
Have my second interview in two days!!
I’ll be there summer of 2021!
Housekeeping at Lake Hotel this summer!
Yoooo I applied to!
Nice, hope you get the job!
aye bro I have some questions about being a waiter at Xanterra anyway you could get back to me about that? Thank you bro
No problem
are you going back in 2021?
Most likely not this year.
I'm thinking of doing online school and one of these programs, is that possible? I can do the work whenever- any hour of day or night. I just need internet to do it.
Doing online work isn’t impossible in Yellowstone, I did some myself my first time it’s just the internet and be VERY slow at peak times.
Just finished my contract with xanterra at Yellowstone. I would compare it to being in a cult. It was kind of like high school with dorms. Lots of drama. Everyone is in a clique. Not a bad experience but bizarre.
Hi I am thinking about applying are there any jobs that you would recommend applying to over others like retail vs house keeping vs food service??
Retail over everything - house keeping is a gamble debating on which location you go. Food service is ok unless you don’t like being a mess.
Do they care about tattoos?
No not really, just as long as you cover them up
