Just had my baby boy 3 nights ago. Still trying to figure out breast feeding and why he cries. Love your smile and professionalism, what a helpful video.
Yes! Please do a vid on how to increase milk supply. I’m currently having to breastfeed + fortify for my little guy, and we started out with a huge bin of pumped milk. But since we’ve begun fortifying, we’ve run through it like crazy and it’s hard for me to keep up.
Oh my goodness I love your energy. So glad I found this channel. I’m in labor with baby #7 and I love hearing your voice while I’m on my way into transition. I’m a retired LLL leader but I am not above breastfeeding education. There’s always something to learn and reminders are so comforting. 😊
Please do a video or mention information about exclusively pumping! There are many moms that do not have enough information on this topic and completely give up breastfeeding because there are problems latching, baby is a preemie, breastfeeding aversions etc.
That would be awesome! I never took exclusive pumping into consideration until my LO was having a hard time gaining weight and keeping BM down when nursing, as well as contending with an oversupply...I eventually went to "exclusive" pumping, with the occasional nursing. My baby has now gained weight and I was able to handle my oversupply a lot better!
Same here my baby is now a little over a month old thankfully it calmed down. It helped with the increase in milk supply though, the constant feeding. I thought I was going crazy. One of the hardest thing I had to do. Felt like giving up, now I’m glad I stuck to it. Girls you’ll see it’ll become easier xxx
Mine too! She would fall asleep after nursing for at least 30 - 45 mins but wakes up almost immediately when I put her back to cot and would want nurse again for another 30 - 45 mins. There is almost no break 😂
Love breastfeeding my daughter! But it was a learning curve in the beginning. I took so many birth classes and didn’t even think to educate myself about breastfeeding. So glad I had a LC at the hospital.
I just went back to work after having my second son. I pump while at work but when i'm home I exclusively breastfeed. A video about the two, how much/often baby should be eating with the bottle/breast milk and how to increase supply would be SO helpful! =)
Hi Sara! Thankyou for all of your informational videos on childbirth. Your tips like flex n flow and nothing is worth your mental health really have helped me with childbirth and my everyday postpartum life. I watched your videos my whole pregnancy to prepare for natural childbirth. Three years ago I had the epidural with my firstborn and realized it wasn’t for me. With an epidural I felt like I was hit by a bus postpartum! Three months ago I gave birth naturally to my baby girl and felt great afterwards. Thankyou for all you do to help everyday women like me with this important task that is childbirth!! Xoxo❤️❤️
I have a question. Can you do a video on food do’s and dont’s. I get so confused because some people say certain things are okay to eat and others say to avoid it at all costs.
I would love to see videos about breastfeeding and formula feeding. Especially how to supplement with formula. I know I could have used that information when my supply wasn't keeping up with my daughter's needs and too often when you ask for help, the answers are solely about how to increase your supply.
If you weigh yourself on the scale with your baby, and then feed them, and then weigh yourself with the baby again- won't the numbers be exactly the same?
If you have a scale that is digital and has decimal points there should be a difference. It will be a less than a pound difference, but it should be different. You're looking for ounces.

YES to a video about how to increase breast milk supply!!! I have some friends who seem to always have too much milk (more milk than their baby can drink in one feeding). Whereas for me since the very beginning of breastfeeding, it seems like my baby always completely drains me. And then especially in the evenings, it seems like I don't have enough milk cause my baby is obviously still hungry after emptying my supply. Does this indicate I have a low milk supply and need to increase it, or is it normal for me?
The way you acted out how the baby latches had me cheezing 😅🥰 thank you for doing this video about breastfeeding in general it helps me out with my 1 month and a half baby girl and doing all breast feeding. I would love to know a bit more about pumping 🤗 God bless ❤️
I have never had one of your videos hit so close to home at the exact right time!!! My baby is 4 days old and my milk just came in last night / this morning. It's been SO painful and my nipples were dry, cracked, and bloody. But I went to a breastfeeding support group today and it made such a difference. And the lactation consultant gave similar advice and now I've had 2 successful BF sessions! It's amazing how much stress and feeling like a mom failure plays into my body's ability to provide. As always, thanks for your videos 🤗
I can’t wait to give breastfeeding another go with my second son this June! My first boy had meconium (not sure how to spell it) in his lungs and wasn’t given back for about 30min, then they didn’t advise me to nurse until 2 hours later, then they gave me a nipple shield (which I later learned that I didn’t need) and it was a mess, and he wouldn’t latch, and when he did he only wanted the shield. I tried for 2 months until I dried up. I was devastated. I’m doing so much more research this go around and will give it my best shot!
My second is now 1.5 months, and I had the toughest time breastfeeding her, which was such a crazy difference from my first daughter. She lost over 10% of her weight in the first 2 days. I was so upset. I had a meeting with a lactation consultant and it turns out I just had to work on her latch. It instantly got 100% better! But then a doctor came in and told me I absolutely had to supplement with formula. I was crushed, but only had to supplement with one feeding :) I am SO grateful to that lactation consultant.
I was told that my daughter also lost 10% of her birth weight and I was devastated because she was already a small full term baby... But my pediatrician told me in the hospital that was normal then told me she picked it back up at her first appointment so It was so relieved...
Great video! So much info! I just had my 2nd baby a few days ago and for some reason I have been questioning everything about breastfeeding. I would love more breastfeeding videos.
Yes!!! How to increase supply!! I had a very low supply with my first and tried everything. I'm hoping with this baby, I'll have a better supply and easier less stressful experience.

Some of the best pieces of advice I received at the start of our breastfeeding journey were: trust my body, work with an IBCLC to fine tune your latch, and feed the baby (put them on the breast lots!)
Perfect timing. I gave birth 4 weeks ago and I have been struggling with breastfeeding. I have really low milk supply, I pump and feed on demand. My baby gets so frustrated, I supplement with formula. I feel like my baby refuses my breast because my milk flow isn't as fast as a bottle. Please help P.S. when i pump for 15 minutes I get less than an ounce both sides combined. And I don't feel the fullness in my breast(unless its overnight) this is my 2nd baby I felt the fullness with the 1st idk what I'm doing wrong:(
I had my baby almost 4 weeks ago and she wouldn’t latch, not great supply and supplemented w formula. Now we’re almost all on formula. It’s my first baby and I’m feel very down about it but I’m trying to think about all the other positives right now...sending you love!
Erin Busbee thank you. I know exactly how you feel. There have been moments were I cry because I feel like my body isn't doing what its suppose to but I remind myself of how good I have it, my baby is healthy and thank God for my love ones. In fact my sister is donating me some of her breastmilk which has given me such a peace of mind since my baby had been colicky due to the formula. I will be praying for you . God bless you ❤
MiVidaBellisima we have a doctor appointment tomorrow, I will seek a lactation consultant. Baby tends to get so frustrated when my milk doesn't flow after a few minutes I was supplementing with formula but since she's been colicky we stopped. I have been receiving Milk donations from my sister which is an over supplier 😄 thank God for her abundance . I will continue to pump and feed on demand
I was having such a hard time direct feeding (due to baby blues?) but i was putting so much pressure on us to do so. Until i stopped and just gave him the bottle for a while (pumped breast milk). He’s a month old now and i just decided to try direct feeding again and we are starting to get a hang of it!!!! So ladies, if you can’t get a hold of a lactation consultant/support for now, your baby blues might directly affect your ability to direct feed your baby (no matter what your supply looks like)
I really like this video however I wanted to point out. If you are consulting your child's pediatrician for breastfeeding concerns make sure they are properly educated in lactation as many arent including charts based solely for formula fed babies weight and growth rates. I also wanted to mention about the poop diapers that is based off of the first month of life after the first month it can go longer than that. I also wanted to mention cluster feeding which can be as often as 20 minutes where baby wants to eat. As well as your body regulates milk volume after 3-4 weeks and then again around the 3 month mark.
My 2nd baby is on the way and I'm feeling a lot of anxiety because of my experience with my 1st. For the first week I was feeding her 15 minutes on each side and then she'd pass out and seem content. When I went to my 1 week appointment for her, the doctor said she wasn't getting enough milk and she was too weak. When I told her she'd eat and then sleep contented, she said she was falling asleep because she was too weak. After that I was so unbelievably stressed out, could not build my supply and was never sure how much she was getting while latching. I started pumping, so I would know how much she was getting, but then I would never have supply to feed her from breast when the time came. Then of course she started to reject my breast. After 3 months of torture from constantly pumping, supplementing with formula, never being able to build supply, I went completely to formula and just felt so defeated. Really nervous about what I'm going to do this time.
Anonymous please. Hey Sarah, I have 2 questions about breastfeeding. 1. I was told that you don't have to burp a breastfed baby because they done take in any bubbles from the breast. Is that true? I very read my burgled my son (if I did, it was because I was doing it for the sake of bonding). I did notice that once o a while he'd wake up screaming, I'd pick him up, he'd burp and go back to sleep. 2. In this video you said that the number of days it takes for your milk to 'come in' depends on what number baby it is. Does that mean that your milk come in quicker in subsequent births? Thank you. Love your funny, informative videos and appreciate all your hard work.
Please more breastfeeding videos!! How to proper latch, pumping, increasing supply, going back to work and pumping... new mom starting in May and I need all the breastfeeding info I can get :)
You are amazing. I feel so equipped just hearing your reasonable and tangible advice. I’m due in June and I’m getting more and more excited as I’m watching your enthusiastic videos ☺️ thanks for all you do mama!
Watching while nursing my 5 day old 3rd baby.. baby 1 and 2 were hard to get feeding down well. This little guy is a dream 👍 I’m loving watch this, it’s reassuring
I wish I could breastfeed so badly. My baby is almost 4 weeks and wouldn’t latch. She got colostrum by spoon but my milk didn’t come in until day 3-4 after i had been discharged from hospital. I worked with 3 lactation consultants and multiple nurses. Tried a breast shield, etc. was exclusively pumping around the clock w no sleep and my supply was still not great. Tried lactation cookies etc. I have PCOS and am wondering is this was a reason. Feeling devastated and have significantly reduced my pumps to get sleep and for my mental health. She maybe only gets 1 breastmilk bottle a day. If you could do a video on reasons why breastfeeding might be a struggle or not possible, that would be amazing. Also is it possible to breastfeed my next baby?
Any suggestions on how to deal with a surplus? Should I just deal with it or try to manage it? I have a huge surplus and have tried to cut back slowly and every time I get instantly engorged, and get lightning boobs any time I’m due to pump/feed so trying to work thru that is beyond horrible! When I do get engorged, I can occasionally get heat in my breasts so I’m worried of getting mastitis so I stay on top of pumping as well as nursing. I had a surplus of colostrum when I had my daughter. Literally had half an ounce when we fed in the delivery room! Then when my milk came in, I was pumping an average of 4-5 ounces on top of little one nursing (and yes she was effectively nursing). I’m now freezing between 12-18oz a day! I’m fine with freezing that much but omg, I feel like my freezer is gonna fill up before she’s even 3 months old! I did have to pump from the start because little one had a tongue tie which made it feel like I had a shark on my nipple...then I had to supplement with formula because my supply plummeted before my milk came in (like a drop from each breast)...
Tessa Perry how old is baby? Usually your milk regulates around 6-8 weeks. Until then, try not to pump until you’re empty, but just until is comfortable again. Or hand express until you are no longer engorged and are comfortable. Pumping until empty for relief communicated that you need to make more milk.
@@cheyenneshope8075 Fortunately my LO's intake increased at about 3 months old and is now synced with my supply. Some days I have the opposite issue now, where I have a hard time keep up with her demand lol my issue with partially expressing was that I would get lightning nipples/boobs when I'd be almost full and definitely when I was engorged and that feeling wouldn't go away unless I completely emptied my breasts...at one point I'd get that feeling every 1-2 hours. Thankfully my body has plateaued at 1oz an hour and since little one is currently eating about 4oz every 3-4hrs, she's keeping up with things and I rarely ever get that lightning sensation now, thankfully! I understand the supply and demand part but when your body goes into such a painful state and you've given a serious try on all the oversupply hacks and nothing has worked, I just resorted to what did work and just dealt with the oversupply... it was also difficult when you'd reach out for help from LC's and doctors and they'd more or less pat you on the back and tell you good job for over supplying instead of helping you figure out a solution 🙄
I have an issue - my baby was in NICU for a week and basically I couldn’t breastfeed for like 2 weeks after my milk came in. I did pump some (little) amount of colostrum and he did have that daily intake of formula in addition to breast milk. Now he is 6 weeks old and only poops once every 4-5 days. I mean he does have wet nappies/diapers but doesn’t poop that often. I’m trying to exclusively breastfeed but my breast do not feel super full or as if so much milk is in them - also when I pump I don’t get too much volume - should I be worried? He is ravenous most days and is constantly on the breast - he accepts a bottle after an hour of breastfeeding and I’m worried I don’t have enough milk or that he is starving. Please help. 🥺
My nipples are inverted and it's very difficult for me to breastfeed atm. I really want to breast feed and lessen down o the Formula... I trek expressing got like 2 ounces and now it's like I have no milk in there.
Love your videos! Please do more breastfeeding videos and formula videos. I just had my baby 3 weeks ago and any tips help! Thank you for being so informative!!
Great video coming at the right time im 2 weeks off my due date today 😁 would you ever do a video regarding breast feeding and pumping so that you can build a stash for going back to work and for dad to do a daily feed? X
thank you so much for your videos Sarah! I just got my bundle of joy she's just 2 weeks old. All of your videos are very helpful especially those labor videos (got an easy labor). Keep it up! 😊👶🏻
I breastfed my daughter for 9 months, but now I'm pregnant and my milk has almost completely dried up. Is there anything I can do to increase my supply???
Your other videos got me through birth and then I see you uploaded one on breastfeeding which I’m currently struggling with! Perfect timing!! If you do another video on breastfeeding there are some topics I wonder about. For example cluster feeding, upping your supply, slacker boob (my left seems to produce a lot less than my right is that normal?), how to breastfeed and pump (I want to do both because I have to go back to work but I don’t know how to begin with pumping without affecting my breastfeeding), my baby gets gassy very often is this because of my breast milk / diet? I’ve heard mixed things on that topic. Some say your diet doesn’t affect your milk and others say it does. I worry it’s my fault he’s been so gassy and uncomfortable. The odd thing is when he’s gassy and upset his go to is to root and look for my breast. I give it to him because I was told to never deny the baby the breast if he wants it but I wonder if it’s the wrong move when his little tummy is upset. Breastfeeding is probably the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. Labor felt easier! We’ve both been up all night. He wants to stay attached to my breast and he’s really gassy. It’s so hard to know what to do 😩
I love how you love your field of work! Thank you for this video. #breastfeeding has been a challenge and I was concern baby wasn’t getting enough milk so I’ve started to pump as if I’m exclusively pumping while also still putting baby boy to my breast. It’s helped so much but is extremely exhausting. Will take these things into account now. ❤️
Do you have any tips for (painful) night time leg cramping? I drink a lot of water throughout the day, and even through the night when I get up to pee, so I know dehydration isn’t a factor. Any other helpful tips, tricks, info?? 🥺
I am interested in a video on increasing milk supply. I supplement formula with nursing and my 5 week old son has smooth yellow bowel movements. What color is the stool in babies who are strictly formula fed?
For someone who has short/small nipples that have trouble staying erect and large areolas, what is a good tip for maintaining a good latch? And how to know if they're getting enough duting feeding? I have a 3-week old and im having trouble with milk supply and latching.
Can you talk about oversupply? I make so much milk and my baby simply cannot eat enough to make me feel relief after a feed and I am afraid he gets full on foremilk
I didn't have milk for 3 consecutive days when my daugther was born 2 mos ago. First 24hrs post partum I didn't know that I don't have milk until she cried every after feeding and then my partner bought a pump and nothing, even a single drop. I almost cry coz it broke my heart knowing that my baby was starving. But I didn't give up she latched on and I pump even though there's nothing to pump on. Luckily after 3 days my milk started to come out and I was so glad I didn't give up.
I've had an oversupply with all 3 babies. My current nursling is very sensitive to everything and is having digestive issues from too much foremilk. She is a fat little thing, so still growing, but I'm having to pump off foremilk at every feeding. Its stressful, especially when it makes her diapers full of mucus or gives her a diaper rash etc.
My son is two weeks old and he does not know how to breastfeed, so I gave him formula milk, and I noticed that he was never satisfied. What is the solution?
I am 27 weeks pregnant. I just found your channel today and your videos have been super helpful! I want to labor as long as I can at home and I’ve watched your videos about knowing when to go to the hospital, but I live in an area where the hospital is over an hour away. Does this change when I should begin driving there? Would it be helpful to get a hotel room nearby as soon as early labor starts?
Great video! Can you include something about how premies don't have the development to nurse at birth? Mine was born at 36 weeks and i had several L.Cs tell me that I was doing everything right, it was just him having to learn... I think he was close to 3 months old to finally just "get it"... I got so use to being able to measure the milk in a bottle, but cleaning bottles and all of those pumping parts and everything made newly motherhood a nightmare. So I'm glad he finally came around. Thanks again!!
My newborn was born with weight of 3 kg and now she is 13 days old and having weight 2.7..i don't know how to increase her weight the doctor told she is not gaining weight..i have no idea how to judge if she is getting enough milk
I would love a feeding cues video. It’s been 6 years since I have had a newborn. My daughter will be here in 11 weeks. So a refresher would be great. :)
Ok I didn't watch the video but I just wanted to say that as long as the baby is growing normally then they're getting enough milk. The doctor checks them at 2 days, at 1 week, at 1 month, 2, 3, 4 and 6 months. It's not something to worry about unless the doctor is worried about it
Hi ...I have a 2 week baby.she feeds slowly, atleast 2 hours for single time but she doesn't get enough milk and looks for it again...can u suggest me some help to improvise my feeding method
Keep at it ladies! My milk took a full week to come in. People discouraged me but I stuck with it and it came! You can do it 💪

Please help
P.S. when i pump for 15 minutes I get less than an ounce both sides combined. And I don't feel the fullness in my breast(unless its overnight) this is my 2nd baby I felt the fullness with the 1st idk what I'm doing wrong:(
Sandra Pequeño have you tried seeing your dr/lactation consultant? This is a strange place to ask for specific med advice.
Sandra Pequeño wish you all the luck mama and hope you find some answers/solutions at your appt! ❤️
Great video and information 👍🏿! I’m exclusively nursing my 4th and definitely agree🤗! Thanks for sharing 💖
So ladies, if you can’t get a hold of a lactation consultant/support for now, your baby blues might directly affect your ability to direct feed your baby (no matter what your supply looks like)
I really appreciate this. Thank you so much
Can you pls do a video on how to loose body and tummy weight and still breastfeed baby healthily
I have a flat nipple...should I be concerned about properly latching/breastfeeding my baby?
I had the same problem. At first breast feeding was really difficult. But baby's sucking helped greatly
Hi. Just had my vbac a few days ago. Your videos have been a great guide to natural birth, dilation and all that matters. Thankyou so much.
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Please more breastfeeding videos!! How to proper latch, pumping, increasing supply, going back to work and pumping... new mom starting in May and I need all the breastfeeding info I can get :)
You are amazing. I feel so equipped just hearing your reasonable and tangible advice. I’m due in June and I’m getting more and more excited as I’m watching your enthusiastic videos ☺️ thanks for all you do mama!
Yes to an upping supply video! My little guy is 4 months in but with pumping I’m looking to keep my supply up while I’m at work
Hello 👋 my question is fasting going make breastmilk decrease????????
Thanks for the helpful information provided
Great content! 👍👍thanks
You really look like Brianna from Grace and Frankie! 😍
Watching while nursing my 5 day old 3rd baby.. baby 1 and 2 were hard to get feeding down well. This little guy is a dream 👍 I’m loving watch this, it’s reassuring
Wish to find your channel during my pregnancy but thank god at least I clear my doubts now thanks alot dear❤❤
So informative, thank you! Please do a video on how to increase supply!
I had my 3rd baby 4months ago. She had tongue tie which had to be cut twice due to regrowth but now shes feeding like a champ :) xx
I really really love your videos they are so informative and for sure the best I have watched! My baby boy is due January 4th !
Can you do a video on forceful let down. I suspect that is the problem we ( me and bby) are having
Can’t wait for the next video.. we are first time moms and we have a lot to learn..
You made this video so fun to look at. ! Thank you for the good advice. !!
Hello! So you said should be gaining a few oz till 4 months. What is it afterwards? Does the weight gain slow down after 4 months?
Hii..really vry helpful video..keep on doing good job..
What are your thoughts on the Thompson method of breastfeeding?
My nipples are inverted and it's very difficult for me to breastfeed atm. I really want to breast feed and lessen down o the Formula... I trek expressing got like 2 ounces and now it's like I have no milk in there.
video on increasing milk production please
Love your videos! Please do more breastfeeding videos and formula videos. I just had my baby 3 weeks ago and any tips help! Thank you for being so informative!!
Great video coming at the right time im 2 weeks off my due date today 😁 would you ever do a video regarding breast feeding and pumping so that you can build a stash for going back to work and for dad to do a daily feed? X
thank you so much for your videos Sarah! I just got my bundle of joy she's just 2 weeks old. All of your videos are very helpful especially those labor videos (got an easy labor). Keep it up! 😊👶🏻
I put my boy to cradle after feed when he needs more, is it safe?
Love your breastfeeding videos!! It would be so great if you did one on oversupply ❤️❤️
I would be interested in learning and nursing while pregnant if the baby is under a year and how to know when they are not getting enough
Is pumping colostrum at week 39 okay?
Pumping could possibly induce labor
I weighted myself with baby how can I do the calculations to determine if baby is getting enough from weighing her on the scale with me on my scale ?
This was so informative. Thank you. Could you do one on baby feeding cues for milk?
Do you have any tips for (painful) night time leg cramping? I drink a lot of water throughout the day, and even through the night when I get up to pee, so I know dehydration isn’t a factor. Any other helpful tips, tricks, info?? 🥺
Could you do a video on immunizations? Like how to tell if a baby has a fever, when/how to give Tylenol, etc.
Please do a video for formula feeding! My lack of milk supply due to retained placenta ruined my plans to exclusively breast feed
I’m pregnant with my first child and I’m so excited but so nervous and I just wanna know everything
So helpful..bless you
I've had an oversupply with all 3 babies.
What is the solution?
i love your enthusiasm, contagious lol!
How do I know I have a good latch? It hurts a lot when I feed him. :(
Great video! I love breastfeeding my baby❤
Love love love this video plz do more like this on breastfeeding!!! 😍
Megan Hensley 93 in also having my daughter May 1st and an so excited!
Dean Family Vlogs my daughter is due April 27th :) congrats to you hun
Ok I didn't watch the video but I just wanted to say that as long as the baby is growing normally then they're getting enough milk. The doctor checks them at 2 days, at 1 week, at 1 month, 2, 3, 4 and 6 months. It's not something to worry about unless the doctor is worried about it
Hi ...I have a 2 week baby.she feeds slowly, atleast 2 hours for single time but she doesn't get enough milk and looks for it again...can u suggest me some help to improvise my feeding method
Please do a video on relactation!!!
Is 5min feed time enough after a hour? At tyms baby feeds for 11min... does tym indicate anything
Sarah my daughter is 5 months and 2 weeks ago I suddenly stop having enough milk to feed my baby , what can I do to get my milk supply back?
Filmed that video yesterday!
Pump leaves me numb and I don't get relief I've been in pain for like 3days now. I feel better giving them via a pump cz I know how much they drink
