Have you heard about the new lens from Polarpro called Lightleak lens which is basically this but maybe a better build quality and it allows you to add light leak to photos and adjust the angle that it is coming in
I’ve been using this alongside a couple vintage lenses for a few select shots, like during party dancing and a couple portrait times. I love that it kinda matches a mist filter look & has some more “real” qualities/feel. I also have a DispoLens and Triple DispoLens I am looking forward to experimenting with and comparing.
I was influenced and I purchased one, lol. However, I'm definitely just a hobbyist that happens to love using cheap lenses to see how much I can get out of them. Back in the day I found mount to fix a dianaF+ lens to an older sony alpha camera and I really loved the results. This is going to bring me back to that so I'm excited about it! I’m curious tho if these shots are straight out of the camera without any color enhancements and what PP did you shoot it? Awesome video by the way! Been looking for a good review of these pocket dispos. Thanks for sharing this!
cool product - but a $50 3D printed housing with a recycled disposable film lens... it's a bit steep! it's definitely a killer margin for your business! I have a 3D printer and a bunch of disposable camera so you've inspired me to just craft my own
Compared to how expensive disposable cameras are these days, I think the $50 is great! No need to spend extra money on film too. Comes with a 1 year warranty.. Just ordered one the other day. We will see how it does!
Yes this was so helpful!! I admit I was also influenced and I needed some user feedback outside of their webpage to see if it was really legit. The image off of your FX-cam is so crisp and yet soft and dreamy it's hard to describe other than how you put it "Clear and soft". The quality of the camera is obviously shining but the old smol lens is adding so much in my opinion thanks again for taking the time to do this!
@@HowToFilmWed the lens clip on good, it’s fully working, The image on my screen is nice. The vignette is there. The camera is fully working except it’s not firing, not taking the picture. There’s a sensor on the ring I’m scared it’s not « linking/connecting » with the body. Because when I swap it with my regular lens it’s working fine.
@@louphubin7667 you need to change the "release w/o shutter" option on your camera to enable otherwise it wont work. cause its seeing it as a cap and not a lens.
@@HowToFilmWed I don’t have a PL mount - I just thought it’d be kind of funny with that lens since PL mount sticks out. The mount would be bigger than the lens probably! Haha. Loved the video, Nick!

If I put this on the Sony apsc sensor (a6700) does the focal length change at all from the 28mm that it’s supposed to be?
The a6700 has a 1.5 crop to it. So this lens would be a 42mm equivalent on your camera.
I just ordered one. I’m also going to try a macro extender on it to see how things change

Don't know anything about the other lens - but I think the Pocket Dispo is a fun little lens to use when the time is right!

You can get a holga lens for 20 euro.. guessing they have the same quality

fun! We don't make these. Another company does. But for $50 we liked what it did for us!
