I met her in 2011. She performed for a party for the International Federation of Black Prides. When I first saw her sitting quietly and looking like Vanity in a lace skirt and fitting top with her signature platform boots i felt like she was a superstar. She sang He Likes Boys and another song. I was a fan instantly. She worked the small room like a professional and then mingled with all of the guests. She was so down to earth and super sweet. I felt like I just wanted to be her big brother and best friend. When I heard of her passing I was so sad. Thank you for putting this together. I was happy to learn more about the artist that captured my heart and attention with her sweet personality and amazing talent.
I grew up with Simone, and was very close to her family and still am. We are all still hurt & confused about this unfortunate & sudden loss of our loved one. Everything you see about her is true she has an intoxicating energy, beautiful soul, and warm heart. We miss her!
I almost ended my life early 2023, what's worrying is how easy it felt! I was like 'if you can just walk to the balcony all your problems can be over in 2min from now' no one knew what I was going through coz I'm good at hiding my problems. Only remembering how my mother will suffer and probably die from heartbreak and how my kids will have to live with that pain for the rest of their lives... only then i found the strength to fight. In just a week I was out of danger. Plz talk to someone when depressed otherwise it's not easy to resist that deadly thought 😢
I don’t think that people realize how often suicide may cross a person life who may not be suffering outward. It happens more often now. Some people just decide that they really don’t want to be here anymore. It’s truly sad. For those thoughts to even enter your mind is heartbreaking. However, I can honestly say that I understand. Been there.
This was such an era for me and I'm 33 now Whenever I hear someone from that era has passed away, it feels like I lost a real friend. A friend is someone that you can always count on to pick you up when you're down and celebrate you when you're up. And that's what a lot of those artists did for me during this period when music was so adventurous. I pray Simone's soul has found peace and we can meet again one day so we can relive a time when things were just...pure. 💜💜💜

She was such a HUGE talent and had this IT factor about her that would have taken her so far. I was also a fan of the GRL and was looking forward to seeing them rock the charts. Was Dr Luke the one that had all of the accusations against him...? Pussycat Dolls members also complained of low pay, IMPOSSIBLE PAY, and abuse, they were basically EXPECTED to sleep with people. I wouldn't be surprised if she had some shady experiences in that industry especially being around the time she signed a bunch of contracts and being such a beautiful girl. In fact I'd be surprised if she didn't. Too many awful stories of how the music industry operates. But she seemed genuinely loved and supported by her family and friends/bandmates. Depression can also be such a deceptive thing. It's very possible to be extremely depressed and nobody knows. Very very sad. She was a stunningly beautiful girl, talented and seemed like a genuinely nice person. :(

She was a young Ghanaian dancehall singer that died at the peak of her career in a mysterious car crash. She was on the verge of going worldwide and was the biggest artist of 2017 in Ghana!

It just seems something off with simone and then you think about this tea that women under robin antin had to put out and do things behind the scenes.
i really feel like something was going on between these girls. Look at 16:07 how lauren (blonde girl to her left) was looking at her for reference. I used to watch shit with them and they always seemed to never like simone. Simone seemed to lead to as well. She could have easily been the breakout star to me. I wish she would have held on a little more.
