Interesting point about Exodia. However, not that it would be particularly sensible, but cards do get errata-ed. And sometimes TCGs end up changing entire mechanics to fix mistakes. There's clearly ways to change the game in some way to make it so Exodia no longer makes this an issue. One of the more drastic obvious possibilities is making Exodia pieces no longer Spellcasters. the MD experience: -summon rank 4 -tribute for effect ->oppponent uses ash/macc x -pass turn -get OTK'd you may also "full combo" and then lose to a singular imperm in the draw phase The support this deck needed was some way to dump a multitude of its spells and traps into the GJ. sadly it never got that.
"Somewhere besides locals" was Duel Links in 2020 when it was meta 2-3 months before being nerfed and a rogue deck during 2021. Veiler is one of the handtraps that don't stop WC since they can just tribute and tag out.
You know what? "Fails to Ashblossom" should not be a detriment. Hand traps, in general, are kinda dumb. They circumvent the use of one of the core card types with almost no way to interact with them without something like other hand traps. I don't feel that Witchcrafters failed so much as the game now requires a Tier 1, or even Tier 0, build to get anywhere. Let's let the Tier 2, Tier 3, and Rogue decks have their fun. I also propose a Tier 4: Archetypes that don't function the way you'd think they would or are too niche to be any use (looking at you, Vylon).
The fact that a deck like Witchcrafters folds to Ash waaaay harder than any tiered deck that hand traps are supposedly meant to hinder, is why I believe the game would be better off without them. While it may widen the gap between first and second even more, the format would massively diversify.
@@charlesjefferson4372 I disagree. If handtraps like ash were to be removed from the game, then the meta will eventually narrow down to either (i) you set up an unbreakable board when u go first and win, or (ii) you pull off a ftk when u go first and win. And then as a result a lot of key cards from all the decks out there will be banned/limited just to make sure scenario (i) and (ii) does not happen. I doubt that increases diversity. Wat older decks need (unfortunately) are powercreeps that basically act as their one-card starter and/or better end board
@nichidoushiro Handtraps aren't the sole barrier between FTKs being prevalent or not. They're massively inconsistent. And hand traps have yet to stop any tiered deck from setting up unbreakable or practically unbreakable boards.
@charlesjefferson4372 I never said they were, only that they shouldn't count against them. One of the points made was that they can interact with the board, but not the hand or graveyard
Witchcrafter is my favorite deck to play at 60 cards, it is doing decently well in Master Duel. Dominated with it during the Ex-Zero festival, given how they don't really need their fusion to function.
Always saw them as the rivals to Labyrinth. A group of Chaotic Spellcasters trying to make it big on the streets using Magic vs. A group of Sophisticated Demonwomen who casually spend their time torturing trespassers inside their Kingdom with various Traps.
@Netherwolf6100 not quite. According to the source books, Lovely is a lonely woman who spends all day waiting for Lady Knight, the one person who visits, to drop by. The servants are dolls she (or the the gardener) animated to keep company.
As someone already pointed out, Lovely really just a lonely girl, and in fact, Labrynth itself was kinda advertise as your normal dungeon with treassure, hence some do try to visit it, but only one person can go through it, which is the Lady Knight, it is why in the lore book, Lovely always wants the best trap so her Lady Knight don't get bored and never return.
You can tell they liked the idea of spells being used for cost and adding themselves back given White Forest came out this year with an almost identical gimmick. The big difference? The white forest spells can both be used and set themselves on the same turn, so you can use them for cost for your white forest monsters, then use the spell effects on the same turn.
I remember witchcrafter in duel links, that’s where I was first introduced to the archetype, basically it was a decent archetype with some potential, but it fell off the map due to other good archetypes. It lacked some protection besides the negation, they need some fusions or xyz monsters , a field spell, and counter trap to get them going
Witchcrafter is actually an absurdly interesting engine for tons of backrow or discard archetype out there. Basically the cool part of WC is that it can both discard and become discard ammo. On top of my list being Eldlich (infinite trap reset and discard card for Eldlich res), Labyrnth (WC monster is easy discard with GY recurve and masterpiece is basically one for one in GY), White Forest spell can be discarded for effect, etc. The coolest part of WC is that they neither lock or can be locked by other archetype gimmick. I even went with absurd gimmick deck with reasoning using Eldlich, Generaider, Ra, for shit and giggles and it held up pretty well up to plat in master duel
Not only are Witchcrafters my favorite deck in the game, but the monster's names being based on foreign words, I knew instantly this video would be rife with TDL mispronouncing names. Good vid
You know that current Yugioh's meta is bad when a fair criticism that can be given to an archetype is that it was "too fair". Honestly, Yugioh is "Solitaire: The competitive game".
@@toumabyakuya The "there's no turn 3" is an exaggeration. I can tell you, I had a lot of duels that lasted longer than that. In my experience (in master duel), most of the duels that don't go beyond turn two are because the opponent forbeit.

I hold so mane good memories with this deck! I topped some locals with it and also did very well in DL. I don't play ygo competitively and usually I play with my friends and this is the deck that I always choose. I always try to improve it and I think the peak of the deck was to add cartesia to speed run the fusion monster, but yeah is not a good deck to pick if you are trying to go regionals or nats. It is just a casual deck, that in my surprise a lot of people like. I love it anyways
True, I've only watched some ygo and haven't played the tcg to be actually interested in master duel. What made me play the game is when my friend showed me the witchcrafters. The deck itself is good and strong in the right scenarios but are otherwise below average at best. The double Haine targetting effect immunity and the funny scenarious where unveilling made them unable to respond to vice maddame and other spellcasters was fun, but the hardest part of this deck was me realizing that it's not really built/made with hand traps in mind. With its reliance to spells, you probably could only afford to have 2 or better yet only 1 hand trap on your opening hand to actually pop off to some extent. It's still one of my favorite archetypes but I struggle to build an at least good enough deck to not auto-lose to one ash XD my best thus far and still using is a 60 card grass deck and of course with reasoning.
Probably a gut reaction to how Sky Strikers did. Sly strikers were normally a plus 1, so they were most likely afraid to have that happen again so gave everything way too many restrictions to keep it ‘balanced’, not understanding the format was just way too fast for such a recursive deck
So, that was kind of the norm post strikers through centur-ion, since these decks sell well, so they started being used to test mechanics in a balanced way, so the decks appear weak when really, they’re just playing fair
No mention of it's playability in duel links? I feel like youve mentioned whenever a failed archetype was playable in an alternative format, so seems like a waste to not mention it Also the deck is currently receiving support as we speak
1 line of text. 1 SINGLE LINE OF TEXT. That is what killed this deck immediately. If the spells were all just regular “you can only use each effect of this card once per turn”, the deck is probably immediately competitively viable upon release.
Idea for a “Gunsmith” “Witchcrafter” Monster that focuses on maximizing the use of Equip Spells: _Witchcrafter Armaiola_ (FIRE) Level 4 Spellcaster/Flip/Tuner/Effect _FLIP: You can Equip any number of “Equip Spells” from your hand or Deck to any Face-up any of your Face-up “Witchcrafter” Monsters you control._ _While Face-up on the field, this card gains 1300 DEF. “Witchcrafter” monsters you control can make additional attacks per Battle Phase, up to the number of Equip Spells equipped to them. During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card and discard 1 Spell; Special Summon 1 "Witchcrafter" monster from your Deck, then, you can Equip it with 1 Equip Spell from your hand or Deck. You can only use this effect of "Witchcrafter Armaiola" once per turn._ ATK/1500 DEF/200 THERE, her name is the Italian word for “Gunsmith” (fun fact: The oldest firearms manufacturing company in the world, and perhaps the oldest “modern” business still running, is Italy’s own *_Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta,_* or *_Beretta_* for short.), and her focus is on making weapons. She can equip her fellow “Witchcrafters” with her creations either en masse from her Flip Effect, or from summoning “Witchcrafters” from her more archetype traditional effect. And like my other idea in the comments here, she’s also a prime target for both “Rekindling” and “Grand Spiritual Art - Ichirin”, as well as Flip and Tuner monster support, because again… OBSESSED with Min-Maxing I am.
I actually quite like the Witchcrafters for their art and lore, with their whole thing being collaborating to make Aruru, then Verre leaving to go help Endymion do Wizard Man things, leaving Haine in charge (which is why Vice-Madame is a more serious-looking Haine). Spoilers: It doesn't go well, when Crowley goes nuts, Verre dies, and Aruru revives her in her Rilliona form, bringing the Magistus storyline full-circle again. And THAT is a different kettle of fish, since the Theurgy was covering a portal that Zorua *WANTED* unsealed so he could fight the Dragon and get more powerful, thus threatening the World. Rilliona, Endymion, and Crowley had to go on an epic quest to stop him, which is where Crowley learned about summoning magics to begin with. (See: Chapter 21 onwards of the OCG Stories manga, Currently Chapters 21-30 have been Magistus stuff, with 30 being the most recent chapter)
These girls were among my first decks I played and looking back at it I played them terribly lmao. Hopefully some more support will come and make them even better.
One of my favorite decks that has appeared in this series. I wish the graveyard effects of the spells activated even if they used their other effect that turn.
I fear the day that Witchcrafter is already considered a failed archetype.. This was one of the first decks that introduced me to YGO, back when Witchcrafter and Weather Painters was considered a good rogue in Duel Links. Still loving the archetype as a whole even though it rarely gets a win in today's MD format.
@@NotControlledByMillipedes it's actually quite good, for beginner at least, IMO. it's quite straightforward, just focus on fusion summoning Sheou. splash DPE or some other splashable fusion in there, like albaz, and you are golden. again, for beginner.
@lilia-ai what does it do better than another deck? That's the question I like to ask, and it's the sole reason I don't play dragonmaids anymore. Every deck can outperform most of their main functions. An omni doesn't end turns anymore.
@@NotControlledByMillipedes in master duel, you have an easy access to Dragonmaid engine, because it has a structure deck, just buy 3 of those structure deck. not only that, it's a very straightforward deck with low learning curve and a clear win con. like i said before, it's better for beginner who are still learning the game, or just the older player (before synchro era) trying to play modern yugioh, not advanced player, because advanced player prefer something more... well.. advanced. because obviously, Dragonmaid are not going to beat tearlaments in term of power.
I'd say the primary reason this deck failed is you used your more precious summon (normal) to obtain a result that was mid at best but that summon was everything and if you stopped it the deck crashed hard. Its why Vice Madame became so important as a powerful alternative instead of just a win more.
My first and my favorite deck from duel link, it was so simple and fun to learn modern Yu-Gi-Oh, if note because this deck I'm probably never into Yu-Gi-Oh in first place.
The deck is honestly not terrible when combined with either White Forest or Runick. Both variants give the deck a lot more options to work with. Also now with this video we just have to wait for the inveitiable support I'm sure we'll get soon now.
I like this deck since the last support, it's fun to play, really consistant, can easily turbo Quintet by using the spellcaster's miracle fusion but... The t1 isn't great enough, it take like 3 turns if you does not have the fusion first turn to have a decent board and all good effects need one more ressource in hand to activate... Fusion with nice effect that can ... Miss timing for some reasons
I play a LOT of Witchcrafters when I go up against my friends in Yugioh. Been stuffed by hand traps and interaction, of course; but mixing them with White Forest has allowed me to try to play and chew threw SEVERAL of my friends' interaction options.
I make it a point to make decks for all the archetypes he makes videos for here (in master duel) and play at a decent rank with them. The power of spite is strong in this one
Witchcrafters can be great again in Duel Links if they import the rest of their archetype and also make a Skill that helps get more Spells into rotation. Right now the only good skill for the deck is Spellcaster’s Exchange which does help unbrick your hand but has no other assets in a format where other decks can go +3 just by clicking the Skill button. Also in Master Duel, they make the best use of TCG-banned cards like That Grass and Kaiser Colosseum, and apparently they can cheat out Dragoon if you draw into Duality so that’s something…
My first ever deck i used and loved. I do everything i can to make it work. I meet tearlament is very good engage to them. Sadly, they got limited and banned.
@ I said saucy xD but that being said, it’s capable of playing with the meta because of the inclusion of Branded. You just have to time your interruptions correctly, it’s very much a rogue deck that’s capable of doing quite a bit, and you’re able to swarm the board with witches because of the branded engine
@@jayduel7897 I wouldn’t even call it unoptimal because it’s not a branded deck, you’re using the fusion support from branded to enable Madame Vice. Being able to have Mirrorjade, Vice and Haine on board with Witchcrafter by street is an incredibly hard board to break, and it doesn’t take much to make it, Cartesia is a crazy good card. Like it isn’t gonna top a YCS, but you do a lot with it, you can still play a lot of hand traps in it, and both play styles synergies. As duel logs says, Witchcrafters play very fair, but there’s things you can do, that are very unfair and frustrate your opponent .
@windupgo you got a deck list? I usually try decks how someone makes them then add some cards or combine them with another deck. Like traptrix and dinomorphia which wasn't the worse
Magistus revive Witchcrafter Endymion Evocation Spellbooks Runick White forest Azamina Just a little splashing of some of these really boosts the deck Also, there are new Magistus cards coming next year or a bit later
Fun fact: For April Fools, Konami actually put up synopsises for a hypothetical 12 episode anime season revolving around the Witchcrafters. Schmietta was set up as the main character. Source: should be somewhere on YGOrg.
When I came back to yugioh after about 18 years, the two decks I started out with were Traptrix and Witchcrafter. I love the deck so much, but you more or less highlighted every issue here. It's too "fair". It falls to a single Ash. And it effectively has to play an opening hand of 4 cards. If we just got a main deck monster that special summons itself if you have a Witchcrafter card on field/GY to help strengthen opening plays. All it would need to do is be a body for the end of turn effect on the spells in the GY, and maybe give it an on summon effect to search a Witchcrafter card from deck. You could also give them a cheap link/synchro(you could make the prior proposed monster a tuner) that could pitch a couple Witchcrafter spell cards to the GY. Would help facilitate a lot more turn 3 strength. The deck would still be terrible, but it would have a bit more of a chance to do something against tier two decks. I'm currently playing a Witchcrafter/Lightsworn deck in the no ED event in MD and it's still really rough trying to get any wins despite so many powerful and generic cards missing from other decks.
I haven't scrolled down and I can already see the complaining in the comments about this one. I'll readily admit I'd watch the shit out of a Witchcrafter slice-of-life anime.
Since this archetype got me back into YGO, because I was interested in their playstyle... the Witchcrafters are not really a failed theme for me personal. BUT everything you said about the deck is sadly true.....
2019 was the year for failed archetypes that either got great support later (Mathmech, Unchained, Marincess and Battlewasp), got support too late to make it good (Evil Eye and Infinitrack) or got support that didn't do shit. Witchcrafter feels like the third option, alongside another stinker: Dream Mirror. An archetype that would be at best ok in 2015, where you go negative in advantage for the chance of a big payoff in later turns, released one year after Sky Strikers, which have a very similar to it and managed to make it work greatly, is just textbook design failure. The MAMA support should've been the second wave of support and the deck STILL wouldn't be good, bruh.
This has been the art type that I played the most whenever I’m not playing Dragonmaid the deck is not bad not even close. It’s just they can’t do anything because of the current arctypes that are out there. I still play it. Nothing will change my mind no matter how many times I have to deal with four fucking floodgates. Oh wait I don’t play the game anymore.
Witchcrafters made me pick up Yugioh for the first time since middle school after I saw Verre a few years back. It was my first deck in Duel Links, and then Master Duel after that came out. Seeing them appear here... hurts. A lot.
I play a spellcaster mash fusion deck in MD and its pretty solid but sadly the spells are just too slow that they only came back in your end phase and they need searchers/field spells imo
Im still playing this deck the way i like it and will make it a very strong deck like i did with plants before and after the hype. Im glad no one is playing this deck so the new cards can still slip under the radar 😂
I did make this deck in Master Duel. It's not bad, but I really relied on Vice Madame to end my games most of the time. Especially doing Pure Witchcrafters. It's not a bad deck. It needs more support. Especially with Grass in MD being limited to 1 is hard enough. Ive tried playing Laundry Dragonmaid and/or Lightsworn Self mill cards, but it was very inconsistant.

I saw the archetype in md, so i decided to bought a base for 40 bucks at my locals, soon i realized why he was selling it, and god knows i tried to fix it, bought it staples and extra deck, got magician support, some sleeves, tried to expermient and at the ene i just managed to turbo summon avramax. After a year i got tired of trying, sold the deck for $30, a few months later someone at my locals told he wanted to try his new deck and i instantly recognized those sleeves, the guy told me he bought the deck for $20... That just breaks my heart
Remember people. Don’t forget, we have counter hand traps! This deck alone has 2 extenders, so even if you get 2 interrupt and don’t have your hand traps, you can still make plays.
I climbed to Master this season with a fcking Rikka deck it's worst than Witchcraft because the end board only has one bounce, one pop, and just one extender. Last season, I made it to Master with Dragonmaids. Next season, I’ll climb with Witchcraft just to prove that this 'not playable' talk is nonsense.
I really hope we get a Field Spell soon for Witchcrafter, it's my main Deck and so much fun to play! A few more upgrades and a Field Spell would be marvelous 👌🏻
Yeah bro, and another quick spell that can negate or protect wc card will awesome

What a twist, the new support dropped before the video
He often times does a “Failed Archetypes” video before a deck gets new support
@f.b.iagent3971 yes that's the joke. Witchcraft support dropping before the video.
WHERE????? HOW DID I MISS THIS? WHAT ARE THE NEW CARDS?
@@arturoalarcondonate4034 as far as I know, this is the only card confirmed thus far
(Verre Magic - Lacrima of Light)
Quick-Play Spell Card
(This card is always treated as a “Magistus” and “Witchcrafter” card.)
(1) Activate 1 of these effects (but you can only use each effect of this card’s name once per turn).
● If you control a “Magistus” or “Witchcrafter” monster: Send 1 Spellcaster monster or 1 Spell from your Deck to the GY.
● When your opponent activates a card or effect: Special Summon 1 “Magistus” or “Witchcrafter” monster from your hand or Deck.
But going into the next year, Magistus and it’s associated decks should be getting loads more support, I think they call it “Spellcaster Tribunal” or something like that but idk, the archetypes are all tied together lorewise via the Magistus archetype which is nigh-on unplayable currently but has a ton of flavour and lore
Each of the Magistus Representatives have an archetype that they spearhead as the head, Crowley is the main play starter of Invoked, Endymion is the main boss monster of Endymion (Shocker) and Verre is the main poster girl for Witchcrafter
So far, we only have a new spell for each of these archetypes and loads of upcoming Magistus support, so don’t be surprised to hear that Witchcrafter will get more, really good support in the future
@@arturoalarcondonate4034it’s the mavens cards

the MD experience:
-summon rank 4
-tribute for effect
->oppponent uses ash/macc x
-pass turn
-get OTK'd
you may also "full combo" and then lose to a singular imperm in the draw phase
The support this deck needed was some way to dump a multitude of its spells and traps into the GJ.
sadly it never got that.
Grass is greener and tears will go well
"Somewhere besides locals" was Duel Links in 2020 when it was meta 2-3 months before being nerfed and a rogue deck during 2021.
Veiler is one of the handtraps that don't stop WC since they can just tribute and tag out.
Funny to think Witchcrafters was a Covid Deck. 😂
@@illyahrthebard3303 ???
The servants are dolls she (or the the gardener) animated to keep company.
shes apparently not actually a demon, her outfit is a costume including the wings so her fiend typing is likely aesthetic
Too bad it only rivals endymion and magistus as they are in one world
As someone already pointed out, Lovely really just a lonely girl, and in fact, Labrynth itself was kinda advertise as your normal dungeon with treassure, hence some do try to visit it, but only one person can go through it, which is the Lady Knight, it is why in the lore book, Lovely always wants the best trap so her Lady Knight don't get bored and never return.
Good vid
DSOD Tea uses Witchcrafters as her NPC deck in Duel Links. At higher levels, she decks herself out by Turn 3.
I love my witchcrafter deck! it feels so good having crazy card advantage when your cards come back from the GY every turn
Too bad games don't last more than 2 turns.
You know that current Yugioh's meta is bad when a fair criticism that can be given to an archetype is that it was "too fair". Honestly, Yugioh is "Solitaire: The competitive game".
Almost every competitive game is like that. You never want your opponent's strategy to succeed.
@@EinSilverRose However, only Yugioh has reached this level of bad. To the point that "Turn 3? Does that exist?" is more than a mere joke.
@@toumabyakuya
The "there's no turn 3" is an exaggeration. I can tell you, I had a lot of duels that lasted longer than that. In my experience (in master duel), most of the duels that don't go beyond turn two are because the opponent forbeit.
@@CL361 It is an exaggeration, however, it just shows how severe the problem is: If your starting hand lacks at least 3 ways to stop your opponent, then it isn't a good one and that's a problem.
@@toumabyakuyathere is literally nothing inherently bad about that. Counter-strat and hard countering your opp strategy and plays to the extent of unplayable for them exist for ages in any competitive game and yugioh is far from the first nor the worst
Its may have failed but its fun to play and will always fun to see people struggle in the grind game against it too once you establish a board presence
Vv gh hi
Funny that this video is late because the new support just got announced. :)
One of the decka with handsdown the best artworks out there, but holy hell you go MINUS
I hope it becomes playable sometime in the future
Sometimes I feel like this deck was made bad on purpose. Their effects are an inherent-1
Probably a gut reaction to how Sky Strikers did. Sly strikers were normally a plus 1, so they were most likely afraid to have that happen again so gave everything way too many restrictions to keep it ‘balanced’, not understanding the format was just way too fast for such a recursive deck
It was very clearly trying to ride Striker’s fame of spell deck with cute girls while also balancing the sky striker idea.
So, that was kind of the norm post strikers through centur-ion, since these decks sell well, so they started being used to test mechanics in a balanced way, so the decks appear weak when really, they’re just playing fair
Fair decks don't win.
either make it broken or we won't care.
It's why GX decks were infamous for being 99% unplayable anime garbage
@@soukenmarufwt5224 speak for yourself, there’s no “we” here
My witchcrafters are being accurately slandered here. I will stand for this injustice.

Also the deck is currently receiving support as we speak
You Know it's "Successful" when the Last Support cards are a Lore Joke
1 line of text. 1 SINGLE LINE OF TEXT. That is what killed this deck immediately. If the spells were all just regular “you can only use each effect of this card once per turn”, the deck is probably immediately competitively viable upon release.
Idea for a “Gunsmith” “Witchcrafter” Monster that focuses on maximizing the use of Equip Spells:
_Witchcrafter Armaiola_ (FIRE)

_FLIP: You can Equip any number of “Equip Spells” from your hand or Deck to any Face-up any of your Face-up “Witchcrafter” Monsters you control._

You can only use this effect of "Witchcrafter Armaiola" once per turn._

THERE, her name is the Italian word for “Gunsmith” (fun fact: The oldest firearms manufacturing company in the world, and perhaps the oldest “modern” business still running, is Italy’s own *_Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta,_* or *_Beretta_* for short.), and her focus is on making weapons.
These always feel like rata videos but without the charm or originality. Just do an archetype archive dude

I love witchcrafters and will still use them
Oh god, i hope dragonmaid isn't going to be in one of your failed archetype video while i am building the deck
It would be a waste of time, nobody needs an explaination of why they're bad.
Dragonmaids are getting new support soon
I love witchcrafters so much for no reason and I suffer everyday with that 😭😭😭
This is literally one of my best decks! How dare you?!
I remember absolutely despising them and loathing to encounter them on Duel Links. I hate that smug smile.
4:22 Said Continuous Trap, it's actually normal trap card.
Maybe the real failed archetype was Yugioh and the friends we made along the way.
This deck is the reason I still play Master Duel. The deck just got new support and yeah it’s a failed archetype but it’s fun 😤
My first ever deck i used and loved. I do everything i can to make it work. I meet tearlament is very good engage to them. Sadly, they got limited and banned.
Yeah, I'm still gonna play Witchcrafter in every deck I can fit them in. I like fair decks.
I'm surprised my fav, the charmers, haven't made it yet
Witchcrafter Branded is actually incredibly saucy, especially because Blazing Cartesia
Is it meta?
@ I said saucy xD but that being said, it’s capable of playing with the meta because of the inclusion of Branded. You just have to time your interruptions correctly, it’s very much a rogue deck that’s capable of doing quite a bit, and you’re able to swarm the board with witches because of the branded engine
So just unoptimal brqndeded
But they're getting new support! Hahaha. I looked into these days earlier. Glad this exists now.
Magistus revive
Witchcrafter
Endymion
Evocation
Spellbooks
Runick
White forest
Azamina
Just a little splashing of some of these really boosts the deck
Also, there are new Magistus cards coming next year or a bit later
I just run a 60-card witchcrafter/horus/grass deck in masterduel. Verte really helps the deck end on something when you get turbo hand trapped
I never thought you would turn into a controversy channel. Witchrafter is super fun though
I'm surprised the Earthbound Immortals haven't been featured in this series yet, that would be a fun one
I haven't scrolled down and I can already see the complaining in the comments about this one. I'll readily admit I'd watch the shit out of a Witchcrafter slice-of-life anime.
Konami is cooking something now giving Magistus and Invoked new support cards that works with Witchcrafter and the already mentioned ones.
i played witchcrafter in the no-ex event and it was so fun i thought i was dreaming 😭😭
Infinitrack needs an OP continuous spell
"Bad news for those that bought the packs, but great news for us!"
The lore of the Witchcrafters and their surrounding archetypes is definitely my favourite in all of Yugioh. It's so tragic that they did nothing
I have a question, would the white woods work with the witch crafters, because they also have a similar gimmick of using spells from the graveyard
Witchcrafters made me pick up Yugioh for the first time since middle school after I saw Verre a few years back. It was my first deck in Duel Links, and then Master Duel after that came out.
Seeing them appear here... hurts. A lot.
yay new witchcrafter support! thanks duel logs!
Gotta love how these videos always come around when these decks get support 😂
It is sad when a deck is concidered a failure for simply being fair and well designed.
Ive tried playing Laundry Dragonmaid and/or Lightsworn Self mill cards, but it was very inconsistant.
good thing that new megistus card exists so we we can link off schmietta(or someone else but lets be real its shmietta) coming out so we can LINK INTO selene play the new spell tribute selene to bring out madame its not a perfect fix but hey better than burning magicalize

Just asking nicely, will there be a Video about the Archtype "Magnet Warrior"?
Maybe one day they'll give us a level 6 that will fix the deck... well, we can dream. In the meantime, it's a fun engine to play alongside white forest
I love the metanarrative about Heine and Verre being the only Witchcrafters that are usefull on play XD cuz they are the ones carrying the Witcrafters on their backs on the Lore too
Just started playing this deck for the event. Cool.
As my first ever deck I’ve played and really learned. I knew this was inevitable
Maybe one day we can have a vid about a deck that dies to any sort of negation where half the comments arent butthurt but ig not today.
Incoming support due to the manga. It takes time, but we'll get there
Vice madame has a lot of issues missing timing. Witchcrafter is that one deck that needs a break in support to make it at least close to rogue.
So uhhh so uhhh so uhhh
What's with the rapid uploads? Are you okay Mr. Logs?
Remember people. Duel Logs considers anything that WASN'T Tier 0 or minimum Tier 1 a Failed Archetype
I wouldn't be surprised we eventually SEE Superheavy Samurai & Melodious here due to how for most of their existence they weren't THE META. And Only became good recently.
Not helped that Superheavy was THE Meta Deck for 1 week until Konami banned its link and its TCG prominence was stopped right in its tracks
Hell, he pretty much alludes to it in this Video even: "Yeah the Deck wasn't actually that *bad* objectively, it just wasn't "your Opponent doesn't get to do anything at all" Levels of broken."

See also makes herself FIRE while in the GY, to make herself a prime “Rekindling” target with her natural 200 DEF.
As for its flip effect, it helps you potentially search out “Witchcrafter” cards and Field Spells en masse, to help the deck run smoother. She’s specifically a Flip/Tuner to maximize the amount of support she receives from her typing (because I’m an OBSESSIVE min-maxer like that.)
