Hawdy, thank you. It was really difficult to weave the story about Lucky White tho. I was struggling with the relevance with Bad Religion. Then I realized, I'm Lucky's first born grandson and I was supposed to be there with Bad religion in the 1980s, at the El Portal Theater with my camera in 1990, and tell this story in 2024/25. It was all part of the plan. Stoked you enjoyed this gem too. 🎸🥁🎥🎬.
I'm stoked that you enjoyed this gem. It's been a long time coming. I should have done this back in 2009. The hardest part was weaving my Grandfather's band/legacy into the mix 🎸🥁
Rad, it was the the news story that was seen worldwide. Alan was living in Hacienda Heights with your half cousins. Lucky's ex in laws thru his first wife Mary Joyce Williams. She always said she was related to Hank.
Haha after watching this again, I can absolutely verify that Lucky White did get a Mohawk in 1958, I was 6 years old when he came walking in the front door after going to get a haircut, being the kid that I was, I was like, what happened to your head Dad? ...My Dad had the best sense of humor, he just laughed but his Mom and my Mom was not happy about it at all, he had to wear his cowboy hat at all times when he went out. I will never forget how cool my Dad looked with that Mohawk in my 6 year old eyes. SO, that makes him the first Bad azz Country Punk Rocker!!! 😃😂
No I wasn't with the bands.i remember when penny wise started they said this isn't a movie get your ass up and the seats were riped up and passed to the back to make a pit then when the fireman said everyone take a seat i had no seat to sit in first time I ever heard of penny wise was at that show. I also went to the makeup show at the palladium. To this day bad religion remains my favorite band
WOW great documentary!!!!
Great footage! You put this together very well and the narration was the cherry on top 👏 🎉

Rad, a mohawk in 1958. Lucky White inspired everyone. The music fans in the 1950s weren't ready for that hairstyle fashion in music yet.
I was there
Rad, were you with the band?
