Quick tip. Make sure that the tips of the element are bent upwards for the connectors. The one I received were straight and I left them like that. That caused one of the connectors to make contact with the back metal panel, which welded itself to the panel before flipping the breaker. Easy to fix, but easy to overlook when you're only attacking this from the front of the oven.
GE needs to package their baking elements better..come in a flimsy box..with nothing around the element..had to order twice because first one was packaged so badly, it arrived badly damaged..didn't package any better second time around..but not so bent up and damaged second time..

How do I get the wires out of the insulation? They slipped in when I disconnected it. Rookie mistake.
