Every time I try to use eye drops my eyes blink @ 1 GHz so I almost use half a bottle for one drop. I had no idea how easy it was once you follow proper technique ! Thanks Doc
My surgeon recommends your videos. As a retired RN, I have learned so much. I have placed eye drops in patients’ eyes, however, I just learned that I have been putting drops in my own eyes wrong. Thank you for covering so many aspects of care.
Going in for a left eye cataract procedure this week and the next cataract procedure in 2 weeks. I watch all of Dr Shannon Wongs vids. Without them I would not have had more information. Dr wong your vids offer so much needed information that my Doc did not provide. Thank you for helping me with my personal concerns; surgery, eye drops plus can do's and cannot do's. You are fantastic!
This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "how can i improve my childs eyesight?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Tenadelyn Impressive Takeover - (do a search on google ) ? It is an awesome one of a kind product for discovering how to Improving your Eyesight without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin got amazing success with it.
This video has helped me so much, thank you, Dr. Wong!! I found it easier to make one little change though...I pull my lower lid down with my left hand and then instill the drop with my right hand. Thanks for the great video!
That was very helpful. The only thing that I would add is to wash your hands before instilling eye drops and avoid touching the eye dropper on your face or eyes so as not to contaminate them. Good video.
I really appreciated you taking the time to explain the math & science behind why we should only put one drop in our eyes at a time vice two -- thank you, doctor. I'll try out just putting one drop in and see how it goes.
Thank you very much! Your videos are always informative and helpful. Thanks to your lasik video I just got it and so far everything is great. I cant thank you enough for all the help you provide people and the information you put out there! God bless!
Thx I'm getting ready for cataract surgery and your videos have been very helpful. Instilling eye drops will take some practice :) Thx for explaining using more than one eyedropper and the video about the eye shield .
I'm using eye drops for my dry eyes. I just lie down so that eye drops will stay in the eye, use a mirror to see if the eye drops fall exactly in the eye and I am not fulling out my lower lid because I thought fulling my lower lid will build some wrinkles after sometime. I'm comfortable with this style of mine.
Thank you very much! My prescription is very expensive. I pay only $30 thanks to my insurance and a coupon card from the prescription product I need. Now, I'll save on improper application!
That works if you don't have a tremor. If I tried that, I'd have the tip of the bottle hammering through the back of my eye. I thought you were supposed to close your eye for 3 minutes afterwards????
Can you do this if you have to take them for conjunctivitis? I have a fear of drops going into my eyes or anything as I don't like anything near my eyes
My issue right now is my before surgery drops. I have cataracts in both eyes. Left eye totally blocked. Right eye about 3/4 covered, so my vision sucks. My issue is, I cannot see to drop the eye drop into my eye. I miss most of the time and wasting drops. I CANNOT see well enough to guide the dropper. I live alone, so its just me and I have to do this myself, and today is my first day. My first surgery is in a day and a half now, and I am not doing well getting the medicine in. I know this is 4 years old, but if anyone has a top to help it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried the lower lid, the corner of the eye close to the nose, and straight in on the eye, but as bad as my eyes are, I miss every time as my depth of field is off and I just miss.
My mom has calcium inside her eyelid. She has scratchy dry eyes waking up and has to use her fingers to open her eyes. She had many calcium bumps removed from inside her eyelids. The eye dr was exhausted cutting them out for an hour until the dr office closed. But I’m the rush to leave, I wanted to get more info on what may have caused it. My mom has low vitiman D and takes a prescription once a week of vitiman D and she just started taking some extra vitamin D3 and B12 that I bought her. Do you think the vitiman s caused the calcium under her eyelid? Or could something else be going on? I’m taking my mom to her primary next Wed. But not taking my mom back to her eye dr for six weeks. Should my mom ask for test to rule out a tumor? I did read that online. How can she stop the flow of calcium when she needs vitamin D for her bones. I did read take magnesium. But I don’t want to keep putting my mom on vitamins. Thank you for showing how to use the eye drops. But how can I get her prescription medicine under her top eyelid?
How would one do this method and block of the ducts leading to the nose to keep the drops from going down? I get terribly sick using just about any drop in my eye it causes super nausea
OH GOD! That looks scary as hell, exactly the same way my mom does that. But I actually do it by putting them with my eyes closed from the corner of each eye. And then blink and blink, it works.
It's a natural defense mechanism to protect your eye. It's not very often that something getting in your eyes is helpful. Pretty much eyedrops are the only example.

NILDA DE LEON that’s exactly what I do,I always use a mirror or some reflective surface to make sure where the drops are falling.....

I"m sorry. I have a similar issue. I def. can't use a mirror to help guide placement because I can't see up close without my glasses.
