- Season 4 is finally upon us, and as promised we kick things off with a very special episode featuring Johnny and his wife Lacey! For the first time ever we get in depth about Lacey’s childhood, and hear some wild stories about growing up in Alaska. Spoiler: a lot of them involve running away from MOOSES! The couple reflects back on their time together as junior lifeguards, and the moment that Johnny fell in love with Lacey on the beach.
Lacey discusses the early days of Avenged Sevenfold, and what it was like to be there for some of the band’s milestone moments. Relive the MTV Music Video Awards, the making of the Bat Country music video, and some proud moments on TRL. They discuss the current state of music videos, and how technology has drastically changed the scale of production needs.

My fiance' died in nov. I've been in shambles, but watching Mrs "Christ" and you Johnny reminded me of how grateful i should be that a woman as amazing as she was, was with a lump like me. Not trying to sour the mood, but i really appreciate that this episode cheered me up a bit. Always appreciate and enjoy the time you have with those you love people, its easy to lose sight and take them for granted. Sleep well Mi amor, i'll probably be southbound when my time comes, but i love and miss you. Always.
Bro the one and only lord and savior Jesus Christ gave his life willingly for us so we could have eternal life in heaven and he has forgiven all for are sin’s and all he asks for is that we do are best to stop sinning and ask him for forgiveness and truthfully believe that he is the only true God and then he also said to put your trust and faith in him and he will never leave you and he will always be there for you all you have to do is call out to him in prayer and he will get you through the pain and no matter how bad you think you are and think that you can’t get into heaven well that’s not true it’s never to late to go to god but you have to do it before you pass away cause so don’t let the opportunity slip away cause you never know when your time is done so trust in him so when you said that when it’s your time that you’re probably going south well your wrong you still have time for you to change your life and spend eternity in heaven with all your love ones and most important with god and I don’t mean to be all preaching but it just made me sad that you feel that you feel like you can’t get to heaven so I just wanted you to know that as long as you’re alive it’s never to late to go to god and get into heaven
And about the video I’ll say this is one of my favorite along with the twins and their good friend cam and definitely can’t wait to see them again when they come back to Chicago

This is ep, along with Val & Michelle's one, is my favorite. Completely fell in love with Lacey (watch out, JC 😂); she is so funny and has a great vibe. It takes a wonderful woman to keep up with Johnny's shenanigans. 😜

I watched this after a really tough work night while having an HVAC person repair my heater and eagerly waiting to go to sleep for the day. It was immensely entertaining and fun and exactly what I needed. Any Drinks with Johnny episodes that let us get to know the Avenged family/extended family more are always welcome.

I remember in 2005, I was ten years old, and my best friend at the time introducing me to Avenged Sevenfold, we were hooked. Great point brought up around the 36:00 minute mark about how now you can make any good music video with a phone, GoPro, and editing, as opposed to full on shoots. Back then, that same friend had just gotten a Motorola razor, the first phone I ever saw that could record video. How the times have changed, I still have the tab book for City of Evil.

You definitely don't mess with moose. When I was still in the service, we were doing a training mission out in Ft. Wainwright which is near Fairbanks, AL. A brown bear got into camp and damn near dragged off one of our guys while he was still in his sleeping bag. Fortunately for him we were able to scare the bear off. In the bear's defense, it was early spring and the end of the hibernation period so it was probably quite hungry. The amazing part being there was watching the sun not ever setting, though it really messes with your circadian rhythm. When
Johnny asks Lacey why she'd married him and she said "I don't know" . . . most honest answer ever. Second most honest answer was Michelle saying how Synyster Gates wormed his way in. It also sounds like Johnny almost submarined his chances with Lacey more than Val and Michelle.
Totally digging the Al Bundy jersey too. You know he once scored four touchdowns in the city championship game against his nemesis Bubba 'Spare Tire' Dixon. Interestingly, Ed O'Neill played college football at Youngstown St. in Ohio and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1969. He was released at the end of training camp by first year head coach Chuck Noll having failed to beat out fellow rookies "Mean" Joe Greene and LC Greenwood, both of whom were key members of the vaunted Steel Curtain defense of the 70s. Ed O'Neill then turned to theater which he got into during his college days and became a dramatic theater actor until landing the role of Al Bundy in the sitcom Married . . . With Children (which interesting enough written as the anti-Huxtable family since the writers felt the Cosby Show wasn't real enough). Ed got the part because, unlike the other actors who would just yell and scream a la Sam Kinison, he slumped his shoulders forward, took a depressive sigh, walked through the front door and said "Home Crap Home". So the football part was written in because of Ed's history with football. Al Bundy, to this day, is still probably one of the most realist father characters on TV, with the others being Dan Connor (Rosanne) and Tim 'the Toolman' Taylor (Home Improvement), in my opinion.
