Yeeaaahhhhhh I’m goin with Valley on this one. They actually played tunes with chords….still needs work but better than the whole notes and half notes ASU was playin and they knew it. That’s why they ran up outta there
I hate when sections don't have something in the chamber. Took ASU waaaayyyy too long to respond to Valley. Gotta have that clip ready!!! Valley got the dub.
@@11brad that’s your best bet, but Valley _still_ lost the exchange. Focusing on difficulty & volume because your sound is lacking won’t ever be enough. Sound quality and finesse are more important in Montgomery, AL. Try that “we’re loud” with Miles or Alcorn’s tubas and may come out better for ‘em. 🤷🏽♂️
@@mefool8575 you’re not being honest. You’re the same Valley fan that said MVSU tubas were better and sounded better than Silver Bullets but won’t explain why or how. 😂

Timing and if you're constantly practicing the book and field show, it's hard to find time to teach a whole fanfare. I know when I marched, sectionals were 40 minutes to an hour.
Evolution, In between plays you might have 20 - 30 seconds to get one off can't be playing for 2-3 minutes anymore. Look at how bands play during games now, back in the early 2000's folks were playing whole songs during game play lol can't do that anymore either.
See what I saw was State was not prepared for the smoke, these generations are not use to sectional challenges like ol school and whomever is Valley's directors was on that so State go stomped on,stay ready so you don't have to get ready to be made a fool of,now see you have the advantages of social media so you should have been on that, now just as yall were doing that someone else was watching because Southern had a post on Instagram about their tubas so be smart because this is not a game and now State you have to retreat tail in and head down because you thought and you thought wrong!
ASU Silver Bullets have a way better sound to me. Valley tubas sound raspy imo idk what it is. They have that *try hard* “our arrangement got a lot of parts so even if we don’t execute it great it still sound good” mentality that several Mississippi bands have. I personally prefer cleanliness togetherness and roundness in my sousaphone section. SB is just more polished to the ear. 🤷🏽♂️

First two call outs was my call outs i got clips if you need to know
I got a question, why so many sections play call outs as fanfares these days instead of playing full fanfares
The time windows to play full fanfares don’t be as big anymore like they used to
