  • After pop superstar Justin Timberlake was arrested earlier this week in Sag Harbor for allegedly driving while intoxicated, new surveillance video has surfaced that appears to show a car that matches the description of the one he was driving before being pulled over as his attorney speaks out for the first time ahead of his continuing world tour. NBC’s Kaylee Hartung reports for TODAY.

My friend’s husband in his 30’s was killed by a drunk driver, she was in a coma and after many surgeries and a breathing tube she survived…
The driver was a repeat dui offender… people don’t take this seriously until someone close to you dies because of this.

PURE. LOGIC. The man not only could afford to have booked himself a stretch limo Uber, he could have booked one for every drunk person attempting to drive home. It was UNNECESSARY. If his publicist was worth their hourly rate, they would tell him to do a campaign about this then launch an insurance company that rewards customers who voluntarily install a breathalyser system that won't allow a car to start when a driver cannot pass.
That would show taking responsibility and would be a side business. (Because everyone knows Justin is unable to be anything but shady anyway, so better he does something worthwhile if he's gonna be a sh*thead)

First I'd like to point out that this was the first time Mr. Timberlake was CAUGHT & arrested for DUI. Sadly that usually means this wasn't his first time driving under the influence. Most of the time it turns out to be a regular occurrence for the individual.
Lastly, when you endanger yourself or importantly others while under the influence you more than likely have an issue with alcohol/substances.
I know his heartless response to all the pain, & trauma Britney Spears experienced. How she bravely told her truth yet he was cold & lacked empathy. Maybe this is his karma for it. We should still show Mr. Timberlake some compassion. Even though over the years his cocky attitude & extreme cultural appropriation is appalling. We should show grace to this man who's struggling right now. I mean how embarrassing for his wife. What she must go through with this cruel man. Pray for him & his family. 😊

Not gonna lie - cannot STAND this louse. Always felt something was... off(?) about him but imagine the car he would have been driving - one of his extremely expensive cars that could hit 100MPH in 30 seconds? My instructor always reminded me: a car is a weapon.
Thank god no one was hurt! but tell that to people who lose loved ones because of drunk drivers like him - if this makes an example and stops even just ONE person doing this too, it could be you or one of your loved ones who doesn't die when the drunk driver presses accelerate instead of the break pad as one of y'all cross the road.

@@xthruxglassx This is coming from someone who lost a loved one from a drunk driving related incident (rather not get into details) but I’m not getting all preachy and self righteous over a “what if” that obviously didn’t happen. The outrage just seems forced and insincere.
Also plenty of ppl been made examples of that did worse then him.
Im just focus on the important things like no one was hurt and hopefully he learn from his dumb decision and that he doesn’t do it again. Also im not going to finger wag and judge a guy like we know what’s going with his personal life.

Can you get your story straight Today? Previous stories have said that he "failed to submit" to field sobriety tests, so you can't say that he failed the field sobriety tests. Also, I'll reserve judgment. Most police are not to be trusted, this coming from somebody who was wrongfully accused of DUI. I had to fight it in court, it cost me $10,000 but I won. Never ever submit to a field sobriety test. Never submit to a breathalyzer.

Drinking and driving is almost impossible not to happen. As long as alcohol is sold and no one is responsible for following up before a person leaves an establishment (never mind a liquor store or some place other) people will drink too much.
Those in restaurants and bars drinking should be told they cannot leave until they've taken a breathylizer test. This is the most simple way to discourage folks from drinking too much, from having too much of a good time, from drinking in bars and such.
This way THOU SHALT NOT leave the establishment inebriated policy is the way everyone knows that you should not drink too much beforehand. Why? Because if you do, you won't be able to leave, if you're the person driving, until you sober up. Why would this policy be a problem?
Having adults being humiliated like this is very pathetic on everybody's part.
And everyone should know who don't already, that some of us, for reasons of race, gender, good looks, and money for example, are already given a pass anyway, should grow up.

As though she's letting us know that JT is a high adrenalin, easily bored, needs constant admiration - kind of man and she thinks he has to get off the public attention and praise-train and learn to be happy being a normal father and husband on some days.

This was a mistake. We all have made this mistake. Some of us were NOT pulled over by the police. Hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes. I NO LONGER DRINK. When I tell that to people, some have been rude. Remember Stephen A. Smith who mocked out Molly (ESPN)who stated she didn't drink. He responded, "Not even a glass of wine?" A person asked me if the reason I didn't drink was because I had a relative who was an alcoholic. I later found at this this person was talking about their own relative.

The Today Show and other channels keep making light of Timberlanke's drunk driving incicent. In reality, there are a lot of families grieving the loss of family members who were victims of drunk drivers. Timberlake should be treated just like any other civilian and face the full consequences of driving while under the influence. Actually, shame on him because he's also a father and he should know better than endanger the lives of innocent people. Whether he's famous or not, he was drunk driving.
