I like to upscale them internally, then use the 4X downsampling shader whilst keeping the blur on to give it that classic soft and smooth PS2 look. Looks every bit as good as I remember the games looking on a CRT back in the day, without all the aliasing that it noticable on a modern display. I do the same for PS1 but with added CRT (Guest-HD) shader too, looks great.
Great video showcasing what is possible with PCSX2. You should look into ReShade if you haven't already. Makes PS2 games even look better. I love PCSX2 & play everything in 4k. Some games still look amazing.
I always use the CRT-Lotte shader built into pcsx2. Really makes me feel like i'm playing on an expensive sony TV back in 2004. I think the games are more suited to the CRT filters, and look much better than any sharp setting.
Nearly watching you daily these days, ive got a full pc setup and cab now, one running big box and im currently following the Retrobaylt one build, i want to get all the custom textures going, do you put them on all your emulators? I see youve done a few in previous videos, thanks again for all the guides
Hey there, custom Textures for Retrobat? I have covered RB custom Textures as well as Standalone installations. Let me know which ones you want. I will link you.
@JustJamie1983 ps1 n64 wii ps2 GC, I followed one before and got the n64 stuff working, it's ok I can find them in your channel, at the time I was only using Launchbox, Retrobat although not the prettiest I think it's deffinately the most user friendly, I started with Hyperspin and Rocket launcher years ago, it was unnecessarily difficult at times

side by side comparison of defaults and enhanced would be good\
