Hello, In our experience, not recalling some information is ok and you can simply explain that you do not remember. Generally, however, if USCIS is asking about a significant event such as an arrest or deportation, it will be important to be able to give a reasonably clear and cogent answer. If you were too young at the time of the event to have memory, you can explain what you have been told about it by others. I hope that helps!
