    The driveshaft issue Jay. That’s what I had when I brought mine and 3 different mechanics couldn’t be specific on what was wrong with it. It only happened between certain speed and only doing it while accelerating. It was the driveshaft. I had to do that with the wheels spent unnecessarily money and had the wheels balance more than once.

      Yeah I nearly got another full set of tyres trying to get that resolved which would've been £££££.
      Thank God for Honda HQ honestly lool

    Hi, really enjoyed the video, seems like you are (like me) mostly interested in the handling and feel of the car. I was planning on having my big brake kit fitted, but my front shockabsorbers started leaking. Unfortunately I didn't have the funds to get coilovers, so I had the shocks and springs replaced. I got the Eibach lowering springs for a good price, so had them fitted also. Unfortunately I had the same problem with the driveshaft right after, so got that fixed too. After that, the car felt great for 30 miles and then the gearbox plug decided to fall off on the middle of the highway, so now I'm looking for a new gearbox or have the old one rebuilt. And the big brake kit is still in boxes... I'm hoping to enjoy the fn2 again shortly, but mods will have to wait until my funds are replenished. I hope you are enjoying the car and I'm looking forward to your next video!

      Thanks for the praise firstly!
      Yes, I always rate the handling of a car the power - always felt like it's more important 👌🏾
      Sounds like you've had a rough ride with the car, hopefully it isn't tooo expensive to fix?
      Does your gearbox have an LSD?
      The driveshafts took me by suprise lol but I'm glad it isn't too expensive a fix.
      I'll have the review out very very soon 😎

      just installed Eibach pro kit ( 15mm drop ) & new front shox, will this destroy my driveshafts??😢 so far car feels much better

      When I first installed lowering springs and new shocks, it didn't affect my driveshafts so you might be fine. But when I went to coilovers which was lower than the springs, it did affect my driveshafts.
      If after a while you start to get a wobble in the wheel at a certain speed and then it goes, it'll be your driveshafts so at least you'll know then to replace them. And it isn't that expensive to replace 👍🏾

      @@jsdriveway I don't have a gearbox with lsd, it was the original one that came with the 2008 car. But it still felt very good, as it didn't even had 100k miles on it. It definitely will be expensive, but when I'm done I'll have almost a new car. It was a rough period though, almost lost faith in the car (although it's just bad luck to have the gearboxplug come off on its own). But in the last year of ownership I totally fell in love with the car, and I can't even imagine not fixing the car. So it will be back, better and stronger. 😀

    Hi ! Are you happy with the J&R drive shafts since fitting them 🙌🏼 ? no issues 😊 ?
    Edit: ahh just seen your recent video comparing with JSP drive shafts 😅

      @jsdriveway  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hahaha yeah the boots failed in less than a year. They're okay for the money but the JSP ones are muuuuuch better built but also, more than double the price of the J&R ones

      Appreciated man - been watching your channel for a little while 😎.
      Yes, they do lol. It isn't horrendous or even bad, it's just a different sensation which I've kind of already gotten used to with minimal driving since I recorded the video.
      It does make the car feel more at one but I'll touch on that in more depth when I do a review vid in the very near future 👍🏾

      It was supplied by Honda HQ but I'm sure you can find them on various pages. Dynodaze may sell them for example

    Have you done the clutch damper bypass yet and had shifter bushes on?

    • @jsdriveway
      @jsdriveway  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't done either - I've been told about the shifter bushes and how that helps so that might be a mod coming up soon but what is the benefit of the clutch damper bypass?
