    Just bought mine. This is a big part of the attraction. All the tuning roads are already well travelled. This is exactly what I was looking for dude. Thanks!

      I never got this car thinking of power. The power delivery is genuinely so stimulating and addictive but it's the way the car feels when in the twisties. How does it ride the road? Corner? Brake? You address those things even on a smaller, less expensive scale and you've got one of the most fun, great looking and practical cars money can buy to date!
      Glad you enjoyed it though 🙏🏾

      @jsdriveway exactly that my mate. As for mine? Trim / consumable wise. It's rougher than a 5 quid handy. But, mechanically and the metal work is all sound. All I wanted from a near 20 year old motor.
      The plan is to throw maintenance at it and slowly renew her. Where it makes sense to uprate, I will. I see these as a future classic for sure.

    Love how you didn't just dive straight into power mods!! You see what's important from these machines! Respect brother 👊 x

      Appreciate the feedback man. Yeah it was never about chasing power from the jump, and even when I eventually did, it had to compliment the rest of the setup I was shooting for 😎

    Unreal what happened to your great FN2 in a year is unreal and that is understated. I love the tips and tricks of the FN2. If you notice anything, you look it up.

    Definitely agree on the maintenance and tire front! 👍
    Induction kit is normally my first mod, can't get enough of the noise. 😉

    • @jsdriveway
      @jsdriveway  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I did think about doing that but considering I didn't do it myself and that to get the most out of the induction kit you need to get it remapped which is more money on top, I thought I'd leave it out haha.
      That amongst other mods will be coming to the civic very soon 👀👍🏾

    best engine mods for yer money for the fn2.
    70mm tegiwa single exhaust
    japspeed 421 exhaust manifold (decat)
    RRC intake manifold.
    any 3.5 inch Cold air intake with least amount of bends in it.
    with an ecutek tune you will net 230BHP. ( thats a 50 HP gain in the midrange when Vtec lowered to 4500 rpm.)

    If you can't afford a exhaust system cutting out the Rez on its own will give you a ripper of an exhaust note, bit of pipe couple clamps

    • @jsdriveway
      @jsdriveway  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha I did this about a year into owning the car but I actually got it cut and a pipe welded in cas I wasn't sure on putting a new exhaust on it

    • @mickgee130
      @mickgee130 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jsdriveway mine is welded aswell but clamps make it accessible to anyone I was thinking , what a difference without a Rez on a std system really let's the fn2 rip for next to nothing . Great vids chap 👍

    I think you only have to change drop links if being lowered more than 50mm from standard ride height?

    • @jsdriveway
      @jsdriveway  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I only spoke about the drop links because more often than not, if it's the first time looking at your suspension after a long time of there being no replacement parts, the drop links can and do corrode really easy. Plus it being lowers does put extra stress on standard drop links. Not enough for them to snap but still it isn't at its happiest haha.

    • @richardd8352
      @richardd8352 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jsdriveway yea it will put pressure on them, wear a bit quicker. How much shorter were your drop links than original? Tbh I wonder if the Fn2 type r has the same length drop links as a standard Fn2? If that was the case then it may exceed 50mm ?

    • @jsdriveway
      @jsdriveway  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @richardd8352 I bought some adjustable Hard race ones second hand from Onamission a while ago and only just recently had them installed by Honda HQ (don't know what length they were adjusted to - sorry!)
      I'm not sure if they're them same size as a normal FN model though, that's something to look at.
      If the droplinks I currently have came didn't come up in a great deal, I wouldn't just replace with OEM because, although I am lowered, it isn't crazily low...
