The intro is absolutely awesome with how it makes you remember that it's a sequel, and that your adventure is not over yet, that you still got to go for one more round
Can't believe we're just about at the one year anniversary of this game's release. My GOAT. I still hum tunes from this game randomly. It's reached being my favorite Zelda soundtrack too, overall. What a special experience, so many great moments, it provided me last year.

I’ve played many, many games in my life and Zelda games are some of my absolute favorites.
This game is easily the best video game experience I’ve ever had and even after 150 hours and the story finished, I still have so much left to do and am enjoying all of it immensely.
God bless the Zelda team for giving us this masterpiece!
TOTK is probably the best game I’ve ever played in my entire life! And I thought that about Breath Of The Wild before this, but TOTK takes the title of best game I’ve ever played! I had been waiting so long ever since the announcement of a sequel to Breath Of The Wild, and they did NOT disappoint! Also, I like how the Ganon theme we hear at the end basically tells us that even if we’ve permanently saved Zelda and The Hero Of The Wild’s world, Ganon will keep coming back to haunt the other Heroes, and so we must continue helping other Links and Zeldas fight Ganon for as long as Demise’s curse keeps up!

I'm surprised they never made a free demo for BOTW or TOTK that's just the great plateau/sky island that just seems like a really easy way to reel in the people who were on the fence on these games not to mention the tutorial area also feels like a demo area in a way
They actually did make a demo version for BOTW that was just the great plateau, though it’s only available for the in store demos in like in Walmart, Target, etc.

Although Tears of the Kingdom didn't win GOTY, it still won best Action/Adventure at least. Plus, it'll always be the GOTY in my heart.

Yes, it has been hiding under our nose the entire time. Those same 3 notes were in one of the trailers as well.
Also this is a bit far fetched but if you listen to this main theme you can kinda associate each instrument to a race/character.
In my opinion drums = gorons, piano = zora, flute = rito, violin = gerudo, sax = link, voices = zonai and erhu= zelda. If you link the erhu to zelda then it's really mind blowing how well it's hidden in the trailer.
The whole music is really based on Zelda's lullaby. Makes sense with the story.

After over a week of non stop playing I finally beat the game. Breath of the wild was my favorite game I've ever played, but it feels like a tech demo in comparison to tears of the kingdom! I don't know how they're going to top this master piece with the next Zelda game.

This is what I tell myself everytime there's a new ssb. Outside of adding these fan requested characters,how are they going to top this? Oh you can play it on the go and play it at home using the portable version as a controller? Wow! That's very convenient since we're short on wiimotes! Outside of adding these very specific characters and bringing back others, how are they going to top this? EVERYONE'S HERE?
I'd say they'll take a step back from making such a massive game and maybe go back to something like twilight Princess and skyward sword style maybe, I'm happy with either but it will be very hard to tip botw and totk for sure

I pretty much played ToTK for the first time like the minute it came out last year and I had some very important life events play out around that time which I now can't help but associate with ToTK as a result!

Truly one of the moments in gaming history
For real, it hit so hard when Ganondorf said "There will be no more The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this will be my Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom"

I loved the part where Link, Zelda and ganondorf teamed up and zelda said "all three of us will need to combine our force... Our triforce."
This slaps so hard you don’t even understand, like the creepy beginning because of the chanting that sounds like it’s in reverse but there’s this build up with the strings in the background that’s faint at first but it gets louder and louder. Then all that build up leads to the flute coming in that pierces through the chanting then everything stops and out comes everything. You can no longer hear the chanting because it’s filled with triumph and hope because Link is here. He pierced through chanting and uneasiness of the beginning just like the flute. Then you think it can’t get any better they go and bring it even higher and it just sounds great. It’s only at the end the chanting and uneasiness comes back in just like the theme of the game(possibly haven’t finished it yet) of an infinite cycle. Where the darkness comes in then the light shines and in the end darkness sweeps back in and it starts all over again.
I think the chanting actually is in reverse of zeldas lullaby and the logo is an ouroborus representing the time paradox

The only “paradox-ish” part would be there are two sets of things exists in the same space and time across BOTW and some part of TOTK but that’s just viewed from our all-knowing perspective

BotW is the OG Game, Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is the prequel and Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel. and in this case i was reffering to BotW as the prequel to Tears of the Kingdom, which it is from TotK's pov. So everything i said is correct.

The jazz component to this track is just perfect. I like that throughout the soundtrack you get a mix of it with EDM/Techno and its a combination that I just adore.

I know, right? Whenever I listen to this games music I sometimes like to close my eyes and imagine the orchestra playing this. Gives me chills every time, especially because I know how it feels to play something that sounds this fun.

My first thought when searching this game up after a year was:
“People hate this game? Why?”
Exactly why do people hate it so much
Yeah it's frustrating to see so much hate online as someone who really enjoyed the game. I think it comes down to two things - the big one being that BotW just set impossibly high standards for a follow-up in people's minds. But I also like to imagine there's something a bit more subtle going on - it's been 6 years since BotW came out, and in those 6 years a lot of shit can happen (and has happened). To many, life may have seemed a lot more carefree back in 2017-18, with BotW being a big part of those memories. Or, on the flipside, maybe BotW helped them get through tough times - either way, these players were able to form deeper connections to that game. In 2023, it may be harder for them to enjoy TotK the same way. Those players are older, more cynical, more keenly aware of BotW's flaws - and thus more likely to be disappointed by TotK's flaws, rather than being blown away regardless like they may have been with BotW.

Zelda's never fails to have an emotional impact on me. I truly admire the way they seamlessly incorporated the teaser trailer theme into the main theme, fusing it with the iconic melody from Breath of the Wild.
It's a flawless combination that evokes both nostalgia and excitement for what lies ahead.
Finally being able to listen to the complete version brings immense satisfaction and is an incredibly fulfilling experience.

The ending part that plays the light dragon theme is sending me. This game is a musical masterpiece
and the song is actually Zelda's lullaby. So Zelda becoming a dragon was hinted in the trailer and NO ONE ACTUALLY UNDERSTOOD

After 75 hours I finally beat it. When I heard it at the end of the game I was just smiling the entire time. Tears of the kingdom is probably the most beautiful game I’ve ever played.

Even if TOTK did get nothing it wouldn't become worse. The Zelda series already proved that it's above time, trends, and questionable awards. One day TGA may be forgotten like E3, but Tears of the Kingdom will always be considered a cult classic. :)

How did you manage that when this game was absolutely everywhere?
I just love how Breath of the Wild's theme symbolizes both discovery and bonding while Tears of the Kingdom harkens back to something more progressive, like a hero's triumph over something greater.
The last few notes being the start of Zeldas Lullaby is very fitting. If you know, you know.
Especially since it is played with an erhu or a spike fiddle, which is the instrument that represents the dragons

That instrumentation of Zelda's Lullaby is some Xenoblade 3 levels of musical foreshadowing, my word

I can't believe the foreshadowing that Zelda becomes a dragon was hidden in the main theme THE WHOLE TIME. The Zelda's Lullaby motif at the end is played on an erhu, which is used for the dragon themes.

This is by far the best video game music, (in my opinion). It’s awesome, the saxophone, erhu, strings, piccolo, and every other instrument blended so well. Truly a masterpiece!
After 120 hrs and beating the game, I can confidently say this is one of the best games ive ever played

I just realized the sneaky bastards Nintendo hinted at the Light Dragon being Zelda way before the game came out by ending one of the trailers with Zelda's Lullaby being played on the same instrument that's used for the dragon theme
Part of this song should have been in the title screen at least a version of it. I don't like silent title screen :c having such a masterpiece

It's enjoyable, but I feel as if it's too much like BotW. Music that plays in specific areas, a bigger variety of enemies like those little things from Twilight Princess that you can Hookshot to rip off their helmet, and more dungeons would've made this game much better, and not, as much as I hate to say it, $70 DLC.
I still love this game but I don't wanna be thinking the entire time I'm playing a game "Oh that would've been cool. What a missed opportunity"

Chopped reversed vocals and the crash is filtered to sound like a Shhhhh plus some other SFX

this theme is genuinely peak when it comes to opening themes for ANYTHING. it cannot get better than this
I love how at 1:34 they play the BotW leitmotif 3 times in a row to signify this game is "3x" botw with the sky, surface, and depths
