What slightly amused me today was in Sainsburys... with my phone in coat pocket.... and there you were blethering on about your narrow boat kitchen... Woman on till was fascinated and twisted my arm to tell her all about you. So another fan has materialized ha ha..... All in a nice way sweetie 😇😇👍
The cacao mixture looks interesting. I eat processed dark chocate no sugar for energy. Gave up coffee have chai instead, with chocolate, coffee, black pepper, maltilol (watch this if you monitoring your sucrose level) cinnamon etc. Etc is chai ingredients
I also can’t wait to see the next episode I shall have my pen and paper ready……you know I love your curries! But I am sure I am going to see a whole lot more of your cullnirary skills now! Excited xx
Thanks May, that was brilliant. I'm going to add cacao nibs and walnuts to my fruit and yoghurt. You've an amazing variation of goodies in your kitchen, it certainly works well for you. It's great to see you keeping your vibration high and being creative despite some of your challenges. It'll soon be warming up and I'm sure nature will reward you with a front row seat to all the new life and bounty it has to offer. Take care 🙂
Love love love love this May!!! ❤️ Obvs, I adore your channel but this video was so my thing! We have practically the same pantry....although I wish I was as knowledgeable as you at your age 🤪 Respect 😇 That info about hormones was so interesting...more gems like that please 🙏 I hope this will be a long ass series with some recipes as well... I'm excited! Well done lovely. The channel is evolving and diversifying nicely! Hugs, T 😘
Aww yay I'm so pleased you enjoyed this! Yes I've got some great ideas with where this can go! One of my many passions, along with saving those pennies! Always keen to hear other people's recipies too so if you have any to share please do! Lots of love xx
There is something so wonderful and worthwhile about being able cook so simply, from all that amazing ingredients, I am looking forward to the rest of the series,
Hi May, I’m really enjoying your narrowboat adventures. We have an ESSE wood burning stove at home and we loose quite a bit of heat with the cover open. I notice you never have the cover closed. Is that because there is no appreciable change in temp? We used to have an oil fired Rayburn (Aga) and that was so good. Happy sailing.
Love the variety of ingredients in your kitchen, our is like egg on toast, beans on toast, spaghetti on toast, and pilchards,. you've guessed it, on toast. How you shop at Waitrose for £12.50 a week is beyond me. Having said that we are a family of 3. The initial price of all those herbs, spices and oils must be a pretty penny. That said your meals look pretty awesome even without the meat. Love you and your videos, it's like watching the great escape.
Hi you mentioned coconut cream block being better value, do you know if you can freezer a partly used block as I live alone and would struggle to use a big block. Thanks. Heather
May...you've encouraged me to sort my landlubber kitchen out and try to start eating more healthily. Can I ask where you get your spice jars and spices from - thanks 🙂
Found out today that receptionist at my GP is buying a 60ft narrow boat... think she said they will keep it at a Kings Bromley marina Anyways told her about you.. so you got another subscriber hopefully... x
May, I've tried 2 juicers before mm not sure of either. What make and how much was yours, if you don't mind me asking, great job your doing there girl. I want to live that life, have done forever but I'm too scared to take the plunge 😮x
Hi May, its difficult to see but have you covered your vents in your door with clingfilm? Please keep safe and make sure you keep ventilation adequate on your boat....
May, I plan to buy a plot of land near the Embankment in Wellingborough, I've decided to let an estate agent rent out my flat for me while I build my shipyard factory (1 man livable abode) and get chickens producing eggs! then sell them in bulk, and maybe have a little café and do a travelling michellin star service along the anal system people can order on their holidays lol! I think it will be so fun and I'm putting the pieces into place now! gonna learn to weld xD
Hey Tom! Thanks for your comment and your egg-celent email (hope you don't mind me replying to you here!) To answer your Q, no I don't offer days/weekends on the boat. Only to people in my circle but I do know if you googled "canal day experience" you'd come across companies that do it professionally. Best of luck with your clucking brilliant dreams and ambitions! Take care
@@wellbeingonwater I went to you first since you sort of gave me a tad bit of inspiration to come up with the idea and put it together! I will check out canal day experience and see what they got to offer but! I plan on bringing the chickens on the boat so when people are served their eggs, hey can meet the chickens they came from :D When it comes into fruition, in maybe 1-2 years since I'm doing a lot of it myself! I shall allow you to Meet May the chicken and you can have a complimentary egg dining experience and know exactly where it came from! the rest of the chickens will be family members or conquerors and such, Ghengis Khan the chicken sounds cool :) GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR THE LITTLE PUSH!
May according to my son who lives in Boston Mass.. you can buy hemp cooking oil remember you spoke about hemp powder... The oil is cold pressed hemp seeds as the base... Just saying.... Sorry to hear of your mouse problems... ☹️

Very interested to see how you live, May. I did notice the Waitrose packaging (that's an upmarket supermarket chain, non UK folk). Do you find that your food bills are high?
A good first food video, but more of a healthy food video rather than frugal video as I think all of those herbs, spices, oils grains, mayo’s, sauce, etc etc must have cost £80+ in the first place. I’m looking forward to the next video when you use some of the ingredients to make 8 healthy meals for £12. Can’t wait for the next instalment. Take care May. X
Hey Shirley, totally. I think its important to show that whilst I spend less than £20 on food, I also use my essentials on a daily basis to stay healthy 😀 hence the word "investment" being used. Hey, health is wealth right!? See you next week x

Great video however I’m surprised at the amount of plastic that some of your dried products are in. You need to be shopping at refills, where you take your jars and fill them up 😊
Great suggestion! Theres a balance with these things, can't be perfect. I save plastic because I buy in bulk but use more than a refill. My local refill place is awesome :)
Very informative May sweetie! I one learns a lot from people like you! I’ve taken note of that contact & will indeed order a health pack. I already eat very well but perhaps not to your extent. I find the bloody adds that keep popping up infuriating! Breaks your concentration. It’s to much, gone over the top & into your canal..xx
