    Nice job dude! This was really cool to watch. Glad you don't have to do the head gasket

    Love TH-camrs working on Diesel. Being form the UK probably work on these about half the time, and have owned many diesels.
    White smoke has been a common feature of a lot of the diesels I have owned. My D4D Landcruiser bought at around 70k miles did the same. Now on about 350k still going strong (with a bit of white smoke).

      So far, I have really enjoyed messing around with it. I know diesels should last a very long time but I am skeptical about how long with a turbo and how long will it be until the turbo fails. I have been hearing the same thing from others, maybe white smoke is the diesel life haha

    That first box wrench you bought, with the 32 points, is for the delivery valves on top of the injection pump. If you ever have a fuel leak on top of the IP, now you already have the right wrench and it's pretty easy to fix.

      @@ImChrisDeDecker I own a 300D myself, and the best way to learn is through experience, I've done a lot of maintenance to the car, and I've learned a lot doing it!

    Love these cars! You can pretty much rebuild those engines with a 27, 14, 13 and 10mm socket😂 And yup Liqui Moly products are my go-to for just about anything Diesel

    Loved watching this. I have a 260e 1989 uk version but was still very interested to see how you fixed the engine issues. I’m extremely interested to see how much corrosion you find when working on the sills. If check under the water bottle for corrosion and also the rear subframe mounts-oh and they rot on the rear panel behind the rear bumper. Despite the rust it’s definitely worth fixing as overall it’s a great car for it’s age. Pre- face lift are definitely the best 🙂👍🏻

    I bought the same car a 93, 300 2.5 turbo diesel new in 1993 just turned 100,000 miles best car I ever owned and I had a lot of them can’t let it go I’ve been through four gas shortages and never had to wait online. annual inspections only $10 because there is no place to plug-in for an emission test. registration and insurance is dirt cheap because I have historical plates on it.

    Do you know that hood stands straight up and out of the way? I also have the exact car, colour everything is the same except I have updated the interior to a 94 with all the wood. I love this car, it is the best.

    Little bit oil from the breather and carbon crap from the EGR going in to the engine. I recommend to block the EGR to prevent this in the future. I have OM602 without EGR to only the oil from the breather gets in to the engine and no carbon

    How are you putting the fluid in? You’re filling the prechamber, not the cylinder.

    • @ImChrisDeDecker
      @ImChrisDeDecker  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The fluid seep onto the cylinder rings, freeing them up.

    You should do a video explaining what's better a Ford Expedition or Chevy Tahoe. Some folks claim the Expedition is better 🤷‍♂️

      Well, I will have a biased opinion. I could do some research. In general, the Ls motors or more reliable compared to the ford equelavant.

      Chevy. Fords are junk.

    Valve seals.... did you do a leakdown test instead of just a compression test? Cheers man!

    • @ImChrisDeDecker
      @ImChrisDeDecker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wouldnt a compression test show little to no compression if the valve seals are bad? I need to get an air compressor. Would make my life 100x easier.

    • @ADDvanced
      @ADDvanced ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ImChrisDeDecker No, not as long as your valves are still sealing against the cylinder head. Valve seals going bad = compression is still good, but you're burning oil.
