      More power to people of India means more security threats for us. Indians should be contained rather than given power.
      South East Asia is littered by the sign of Indian's ancient conquests, then India worked for the Portuguese to loot us before working for the British to subjugate us.
      Even after we welcomed new India in the post colonialism, Nehru tried to dominate us with his forward policy. Then Modi comes along with the QUAD. And it will continue to the future.
      The British actually gave good idea in containing India. Well, India prospered under the British, did they not. We should be the new British over India. With the Indians submitting to us, we could ensure our security. And it would save the Indians from mismanagement of their countries. After all, are we not better than India today? Compare the 1947 India with 2024 India. Which one better?

      @@Chess_and_Universe_Astronomy the guy says he is Indian. I think the question is what religion which seems to be Hindu as he wants dictatorship "Indians should be contained rather than given power" (to vote or act) - he is proposing total Hindu control as cohesion but this fractures a country with conflict. He wants Modi to have unlimited power which he virtually has, this is a dangerous proposition as all rights are lost & you lose the power to object. In Britain Labour is now using the law in an attempt to silence people with opposing views.

      @@souvikghosh1895 so is the morality, but most people are responsible member of the society is because of early childhood training, our grand parents were used to work long hours from early age so therefore you will find most of them still doing household chores in the age to relax, similarly hygiene is one of the main teaching in japan, so therefore you will found Japanese people cleaning streets everyday even though its not their responsibility.
      Similarly, civic sense should be taught, punishments must be strict and prosecution has to be fast.
      look at Indore's people keeping their streets clean and plastic free, it was a initiative started by the local government and their DM, within a year majority of them changed to accept this new clean way of living.
      when I visited Indore, an idiot resident there threw the garbage on an open plot, people there gathered together to scavenge the evidence from the trash to find out who did it, found a electricity bill, contacted the person, turns out he's the landlord and yesterday his tenant vacate the property and hastily threw the garbage bag on empty plot but authorities imposed hefty fine of 5000(reduced from 10,000 on their plea), still they didn't pay it for a month, now they are facing a court case which will cost them a lot more than 5000 rupees.
      For this you need good hearted government officials which are rare to find and supporting ministers which are again hard to find.

The titles of two of the podcasts are "India’s stand on China border irrational but Nehru’s handling was irresponsible" and." Book talk - Nehru, Tibet and China by Avtar Singh Bhasin". The most daunting task facing Modi is that of educating the public, before undertaking negotiations to resolve the border issues with China, of what exactly went on during those years from 1949 to the Indo-China war in 1962 lest PM Modi gets accused for giving away land to China and hence jeopardizing any negotiations

    Palki Sharma is an extremely talented journalist. I often don’t agree with her, but the intelligence and sobriety she exhibits are undeniable. I’m glad she’s cooled on the anti-China vitriol as well. I’m happy to see her suspicion of the PRC adapts to changing realities and is not fanaticism.

      Peaceful indeed but according to Wikipedia Goa and the Kingdom of Sikkim were ANNEXED by India. Difficult to associate annex and peaceful. Also according to Google - the "Henderson Brooks - Bhagat Report opined that the 1962 war was triggered by India's forward policy". A country that lost a war due to wishful thinking and lack of preparation doesn't mean she is peaceful in nature. I haven't come across any comments regardless of nationalities that stated that their respective country is a warmonger. The Jap in their high school history textbook calls the invasion of China in the 1930s as the Chinese Incident. So pls stop whitewashing as peoples all over the world know the dark side of India's history other than Indian like you.

    HONESTY and RIGHTEOUSNESS always is THE best policy. This is the policy of the wise people. Fools , attracted by short term gains, live otherwise and suffer in the long term. The Universe and the Nature love those who are righteous. Ultimate victory is for them. Study of life and history shows this very clearly.

    Well. Basically India is trying to have its cake and eat it too (and it definitely should do that). Question is, when it’s asked to make a choice between the two ( most likely by the US) whom would it choose? That’s something India’s planners are not prepared to answer.

    • @amarr8483
      @amarr8483 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No country will be prepared to answer such a question. The US too is a fair weather ally. They undermine India in some instances as much as they may support India elsewhere. Every nation has to look out for its own interest.

      @WongPeter-tx7qq หลายเดือนก่อน

      The true history of a country should not be provided by a story teller but by historians who had done thorough research on the related topics. For those interested in knowing a version of history that differs from mainstream that pushes ideas like Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai; betrayal of Nehru by Mao; and stabbed at the back by China, pls watch podcasts on TH-cam featuring Mr. Avtar Singh Bhasin, an Indian historian. The titles of two of the podcasts are "India’s stand on China border irrational but Nehru’s handling was irresponsible" and." Book talk - Nehru, Tibet and China by Avtar Singh Bhasin". The name of Mr. Bhasin's book is "Nehru Tibet and China".
