She actually was getting over a cold. That smelly cat vibe from Friends or something. The Trick is to Keep Breathing was especially exceptional. Maybe she needs to sit more when she's live or something.
Hard to believe this was 25 years ago... the tail-end of popular music being about vocals, bass, keyboards, guitar and percussion - straight up band tunes. It was the next 5 or 10 years after this where a lot of music starting switching to the poppy synth stuff that's so prevalent now, the spread and evolution of hip hop, cheaper music in my opinion, not all hip hop but a lot of it...couldn't dance to it, couldn't meditate on it - just fills me with nothing. Garbage is a great band, they stand the test of time and they are definitely one of the bands I refer my niece and nephew to when they want to hear tunes from 'my day'. They like it, a ton, though sometimes I think it makes them feel shittier than they're used to, but it's good for them to have somebody in their lives let them know that life is hard, and they won't be the shiny, bright diamonds they are in school right now - that they'll have to suck it up at some point and acquire skills, get in the game, or get left behind.

In fact once in Copenhagen she gave everyone - herself included - a good laugh when she didn't hit the note. Can't remember the song, but I clearly remember the venue because they refused to remove to stoned and abusive women from the front rows.
Woah! This is sweet! These songs feel so much more intimate played like this, stripped down to their essentials, especially The Trick is to Keep Breathing. I'd love to hear more unplugged shows from these guys! Absolutely beautiful!
When one does a song that inspires HOPE when things are bad , it's beyond special. It's something bigger, better, and everlasting... and the angelic way Manson sings it... is just, just, um.... makes me wanna keep breathing!

@Paul Anthony there definitely isn't a backing track but Butch Vigs drum kit is wired to trigger preprogrammed drum loops in places.
